Everyday I say "this is my fave song from the album" that changes like once a week. The entire album is just fantastic.
I own all of their albums and this is STILL my favorite song. I dont know why i enjoy it so much, but its become bad enough even if i dont have my headphones ill sing it while doing the most mundane tasks.
The beginning, sounds like Reincarnate and Break The Cycle..

Yes but there is actual meaning behind this song besides dexter, holding emotions back for far to long building walls making him fear himself, hopefully you know that to. if you thought this was just about dexter you haven't went through hell inside yourself to understand this song fully this is actually how someone can feel. Chris also writes what he feels so it having some similarities with dexter he used some lines within the song as well like tonight is the night, There are no secrets in life, just hidden truths beneath the surface" for example. Anyway this song is a masterpiece.

sahvanna97 Yeah, on the commentary Chris said he made this song because of how big of a fan of Dexter he is. The beginning part is inspired by the "Blood Theme" song and "born in blood I'm not like you" is a direct allusion to the show.

I really REALLY like this album. When I bought it and blasted it in my car, I felt like it was about to be Halloween. I like it when a band vocalist/screamer can actually sing AND scream. I swear, man. WTF is up with people hating the singing? I love my screaming as much as the next guy, but some actual harmony ain't bad once in a while.

when i hear this song i think of someone who is hiding behind a mask and their old friend is trying to break that mask and show their true selves. i can understand that time is the enemy and we should all be aware that time is short and we will eventually lose motionless in white so now all we should do is enjoy the fact that they are still here. I have not met the band personally but i would like to one day. this song at the end also reminds me that we are not all alike and that we will be judged for who we are no matter how much we change or what we do. i am goth and the people around where i live always run away from me thinking i will hurt them when really i have a big heart that has been through a lot of pain. what i am about to say should apply to everyone who has been judged. "when you have walked in my shoes and lived my life then you can judge me....but watch out cause you will fall the very first step

This music is probably written by entities that are tens of thousands of years old. And these guys probably transform into 8 foot tall reptiles when they kill people!

Probably my favorite album. Their old ones were so immature and the lyrics can kiss my ass. Not saying the ones in this are any better but this sound really suits them. I've been a fan for 2 years now! Good job MIW.

I like that diversity in this album. There's some older stuff mixed with new stuff and it sounds pretty good. I have total respect for a band that more or less breaks out from what's expected from them but still can connect to the roots. :)

I know. Dexter is just a metaphor. Chris is part of the illuminati, so that means he lives a double life in the same way dexter does, where he kills people. The biggest difference being that chris probably shape shifts into an eight foot tall lizard man when he kills people.

the way this song sounds in the beginning is what defines MIW for me. to me that is their signature sound. the rest of the album doesn't seem to have those signature instrumentals that I associate with them. I'm not the biggest fan of this album but I do think it's pretty cool that they continue to evolve
definitely love this fucking song and the entire album. you guys say it sounds not metal enough, but they did say in an interview that they are gonna mix the sound of creatures and infamous and put them together. that's what you guys got. quit complaining and enjoy the fucking music.
