You know it wasn't until Chester Bennington took his life that I looked back and realized that most of LP's songs came from depression. Enjoyed everything they ever put out being totally oblivious to the possibility of the music ever being a cry for help. I pray things don't play out similarly with TAA cause im totally balls deep into the music. Rock on every one

Most artists in general have bad mental health, especially with the lifestyle they live with touring. Truth is well never know if all these songs are a cry for help or Joel doing therapy on himself

Amity will always hold a special place in my heart. They have saved my life more than once and they never ever disappoint with their music. This is yet another amazing song. The heart and emotion Joel puts into his scream gives me goosebumps every time
Man I feel this on a while different level.
It is, indeed, fascinating how music affects us in so many ways. This is, in fact, why I listen to the music that I do. So many groups (many Australian), have such emotional power and delivery with the messages that they are sending. I've never felt deeper connections with any other type of music. I suppose that it takes a certain set of beliefs or mindset to comprehend, because a lot of my really good friends may know me really well, but they will never understand why I truly appreciate and listen the music that I do.
Fucking amazing. Joel’s vocals just keep improving and has more pain in it with every release.

What I love most about TAA is that you can feel what Joel is feeling through his lyrics and vocals. It takes an incredible amount of bravery to share your deepest inner self to the world. I’ve always admired Joel for that. Connecting with TAA’s music has helped me through some very dark times. For those of you who who are struggling, please always remember that the world is better with you in it. I like to think back to the end of I Heart HC: “there are people listen and people who care. And I know this my friend because I too have been there.”

Even after 9 years with my wife, she does t understand my depression nor do I her's. But after slowly communicating we are finding out we suffer from the same pasts. My have been by different people but we truly understand where each other is coming from. Besides music, she is the only other being on this earth that I can say understands me. Now we are healing together. 3 years clean and sober cause she had me thinking in different ways We are both getting help for ourselves. And I am so thankful I have the music to help keep me away from the darkness.
this EP is rapidly becoming my top album of Amity's. gutwrenching lyrics cut with Ahren's cleans never get old, but something about this album hit really hard for me. i'm really looking forward to crying in the pit on march 20
It's really incredible that all of your fans and every that listen to your songs just finds out in them every of their feelings, feelings that every of us are scared to share with anybody because after bullying, non-acceptance in their circles between peers we are afraid to open our hearts. The reason of this fear is that when we open up and try to share our feelings we just share very intimate part of ourselves... You guys just do it for us, you are share our feelings with the others which don't understand our voices, our feelings and somehow you do it perfectly. In every of your songs you show one part of the our nature, unfortunatley not always that good one (most of them are dark like the night) like for exaple the fight with the heavy depression...
Your songs were a main topic of my poetry matura exam (I'm from Poland) few years ago and my professors cried during my presentation and gave me the highest notes. TAA - you've guys did a perfect job because you've raised a group of very sensitive and great people that are connected by your songs.

If you want my help my man i will give you a tip from my experiance with depression. I suffered somethong for 3 4 months but it continued for 1 year. 1st go for a run ! Run for 30 minutes you will understand many things of life while you run. Your boddy will be pressed pshysically and will release your mind ! On the second day take boxing, wrestling bjj spoert class !! The same reason, not fitness basketball it should be connevted with fighting somebody !!! On the third day help someone
Alson understand that the world suffers as you suffer and it is your choise to stay on the ground or stand up and deal with it, you will realise this on a sparrring session. That is why i want to help you. I mean understand that everybody on the world has its problems imagine you have water food but a kid on the side of the wolrd works as a deug dealeer because it has no choise. People are starving. So take control of your life and set new goals pushh you lr self more intelectually and physically and you will see how you rise :) if i helped you just help another man, give him a water, food, find him a job idc. Just help other in neeed !!!

I wish I could still be a fan of amity, one of my first all time favorite bands as a teenager, but unfortunately as catchy as the music they release I am no longer the young depressed person as I once was. and I feel like when I do listen to these sort of songs it pulls me back into a place that I have just got out of.. I wish Joel finds his peace!
Sadly I have to agree. I love the sound they produce but music these days for me need more and it feels like the sound is catchy still but diving deeper it does pull me back to places I’d rather move on from. And I’ve grown from this music even if it’s still solidly produced. Good luck to everyone in amity if they’re suffering in any way! Love the band still though

Really hits home with just wanting to give up chasing that ghost. At times it seems more than you can handle and just need to let go of things that you hang on to. But the other side of your brain says your not going to have closure without it. My weakness is stubbornness and not able to let go of issues or questions tormenting me.

Love this!!! I have dealt with depression for a very long time. I listen to this to decompress so i don't do something stupid. I also have someone i can tell this to.... J. I have a few things to live for.
I first found TAA back in 2012 in high school when they had just released Chasing Ghosts. They had just been featured in AP (Alternative Press) Magazine.
The first song I fully bonded with was “R.I.P. Bon” because I lost a really close friend to suicide a few years back and I myself struggled with suicidal thoughts and demons in high school and early college years.
Every TAA song hits you in the gut.
Forces you to think. Forces you to realize how much people hurt. Forces you to realize that people DO want to be heard and DO want help but don’t know how to get it. Forces you to realize that you don’t always know what people are going through in their lives even if they look okay on the surface.
And that’s why Amity will always be one of my favorite bands of all time. It’s like a music therapy session with emotions running high, because when I hear their lyrics…I realize that I myself have felt that way too.
Saving lives for over a decade boys!
