Kings Peak hike, Strathcona Park, Vancouver Island, BC

1st attempt at Kings Peak, on Vancouver Island, BC. Trailhead is not far before the town of Gold River and is in Strathcona Provincial Park. Seemed like there were 2 parking lots! An unofficial looking one right near the wooden signed trailhead, looking like 4WD required, and another main parking lot about a 20 minute hike before where the trail becomes more difficult. Trail was a little slick on the way in, and definitely had some mildly sketchy moments! Didn't make it to the peak, but it was still a great hike. Looking forward to another attempt!
