This looks AWESOME! Thank you so much for showing the inside! (Some of your videos leave us wondering…) At first I was skeptical if this would work for me, but you have changed my mind! 👍🏽🤠 Edit: I worked for AT&T, in the wireless network side. Their electrical/cable management work is exceptional! We do NOT use plastic tie wraps in the equipment because they ‘CAN’ cut cables/wires over time. Most RV’s of all brands use plastic tie wraps everywhere, in a machine that bounces down the road. What they have done here, putting wires INSIDE protective wraps, using rubber loops to mount/hold them, THIS IS A SALES FEATURE YOU NEED TO MENTION TO BUYERS! Seriously, if you keep an RV for more than 2 years, THIS adds value! 😊
I’m so confused as to why we don’t see more Murphy bed/jackknife sofa combo designs. ESP in these smaller trailers! It would solve so many issues. Main one being for me is the east/west bed orientation. Sleeping as a couple in one of these beds is a PITA!! I get it, having a north/south bed in one as small as this might be a challenge. But there’s gotta be ones that fold down/& up out of the way! I’d LOVE to see that! LOVE LOVE LOVE the upgraded batteries and solar tho!!! Woohoo! 🙌🏼
I agree, but because many Murphy beds are uncomfortable (hard section at the fold) and are poorly implemented (ugly) many like myself are just tired of them for frequent use.
@ we used a tri-fold memory foam mattress in our teardrop and it was comfier than my home mattress! There’s gotta be ones out there that are double fold AND comfy!
YES FINALLY!!! Shane just wanna say, if no one appreciates the hard work you and your team works, I DO! I can’t wait to see this in person, I’ve watched this video about 10x now!!! 😅 I just wished they added a small fridge in that closet 🤞🤞🤞
This is what I wanted from the old Black Series 12. Remember them? To be able to have all this technology ready fitted with a warranty is phenomenal. Had I not bought a new unit in 2024, I surely would be considering one of these MDC trailers.
You must be the hardest working reseller in the RV industry. Total respect. Can you fit a fridge inside that closet? Something the Germans at NuCamp (Tabbert) seem to understand regarding how “compressors” work in warmer inside temps versus a portable fridge that has the unit compressor in a cold outside in a storage bay. I get why Aussies want to cook outside when it is too hot to do so inside. Yet, for a small trailer, a kitchen inside that is within 6 feet of a second kitchen outside raises some questions on use of space. Wind usually prevents controlled cooking outside, and great not pay for a redundant outside kitchen if that is an option to remove. Did not see the microwave. Also, can you order this as non Lithium or just wire prepped, so one could put a more efficient Ecoflow LiPo system that can be taken in and out of the trailer when it is not in use, versus outdated hard mounted lithium systems that require a controller? Having permanent Lithium batteries, in particular in Utah, that won’t function, and reduce the lifespan, when the trailer is stored in cold or hot conditions is a poor oversight, and would cost much lest and provide much faster charging speeds and power delivery. I’m seeing people mod’ing Tab360’s adding suspension and an articulating hitch and they are still under $48K. What is the price range on this?
@ I went down and looked at it. A microwave can fit if you remove the range blower which does not make much sense with window that close. It is a very close fit for the thin Isotherm Fridge possibly with some mods in that closet. I would want to measure the actual Isotherm. Maybe ROA can figure that out. Seems like a great mod for them to offer. The trailer is pretty impressive.
@@parkcitymacs my wife and were just talking about this, truma makes small 8 gallon fridge, it’s 24”L x 13.4”w x 16.7”h that might fit in that closet or maybe under the sink. It’s at least big enough for drinks
@ Sort of. If it sits in the cold 30 days, you can’t just have power when go to your trailer, it has to be pre-warmed, where if you had a basic lead acid battery (in combination with a removable/portable rapid charge Lithium system), to run basic lights/water pump it would work instantly. Also, with less expensive Ecoflow type batteries, they can be used in your home for backup, used in boat, taken in a truck/car to power smaller electric coolers, being able to pull 800 plus watts from your can in combination with solar and other power options, add a variety of value, versus just sitting in box in a trailer. RV manufacturers , in particular Overland groups charge a lot for a battery system that is glued to your RV and gives no rewards to other applications. The biggest issues with most of these BattleBorn/Renogy type systems is they can’t rapid charge as well. It’s so nice to have a lithium system that runs say 3 to 4 days , then if it is low, say in a cloudy or winter (less sun) it can be attached to a gas generator , or multiple power sources, and within a few hours it’s back up and going. Built-in type controller RV lithium systems are typically very slow to charge and balance. Or even stopping by a Tesla charger and rapid charging your ecoflow because you can remove it easily from your RV. The biggest advantage of a trailer is having as vehicle to go do other stuff, and I can’t tell you how many times we ditch the trailer, toss in an ecoflow in our truck and run a dometic cooler for a full day out. Not possible with built in RV LiPo systems. But let’s talk cost. On a small trailer like this one, it’s only a few thousand dollars to get 6000 to 8000 watt hours which is massive. That would cost over $10K on most add on’s for an RV overland trailers w/ Renogy-type system and still WON’T provide 220v/240v to charge things like small electric motorcycle on 15amp draws. Wiring is beyond simple with an Ecoflow power system, because there isn’t any custom wiring. A couple of 110V cables run, and 1 foot shore power bypass cable at the most ; reducing massive amounts of wiring. If one your Ecoflow units fail, you can buy one of the battery systems and that it, your done and off camping. Not trips to the service department and you’re up and going versus not camping because of weeks trouble shooting the complex wiring a Renogy system uses, or worse at a dealer, or adding a new batteries in sequence to existing hard mounted lithium batteries generally doesn’t play well together and in a few years your spending thousands of dollars to replace those batteries to work with one failed component. 10 years ago homes were using controller/solar slow charge systems, EXACTLY as they are in RV’s now. Homes now have systems like Tesla,Ankler,Ecoflow and so on and it’s time the RV industry do the same. Let the customer add better, faster charging, detachable portable systems at a fraction of the cost.
We have traveled extensively in our 2019 nucamp t@b400 (about 200 days a year), our most recent trip was four months from FL to AK. Our living space is 15' and has the RV queen, a wet bath, kitchen with microwave and a dedicated eating area. We have the ALDE heating system and a COOLCAT heat pump for a/c and also heat for temperatures down to 30. Any lower and we kick in ALDE heat which radiates heat up through the floor. We have solar and can run everything either from battery or propane when boondocking (not the a/c). I say all that because watching this walk through I am impressed. Someone has definitely spent time in a small RV and were involved in the design. I note the push button on the drawers and cabinets, the power outlets next to the bed for mobile phones/cpaps, etc. The bathroom arrangement is nice though to be honest not sure using the towel rack is practical. Would have made more sense to have it inside as it is now, it'll be in the way getting into or out of the bathroom. I guess the only negative we saw and it's small is the table by the bed. If the table is up (someone using their laptop etc) and someone in the bed, it could be challenging for the bed person to get out. Is there an emergency egress window? In our t@b it's the large moon/sky window. Is there any exposed piping under the trailer? Most small trailers like ours have a frame skirt (probably not the right name) that covers the underside for protection from the elements, rocks etc. Final question, are there solar panels installed?
Anex and interior kitchen? This unit is exactly what ive been looking for. An interior fridge or the ability to access the cooler from the inside would be nice. Hope theres room for another 400ah battery somewhere. Add an aftermarket airbag system for leveling. Boom. Perfect.
Aussie here. I got a design for ya. Basically a forward fold camper. But instead of the forward fold. It will be more like an oversized z style roof top tent set up. So you pull down some latches on one side and half will pop up. Then go around the other side and do the same so the other side pops up. Giving you a cross between a hybrid and rtt. Good thing about it is that you can have a 270 degree awning and shower tent attached to the roof.
Shane, does the door on this camper have the “Aussie vents” on the bottom ? If so, they need to put on a solid, insulated door. Also, how does the insulation on this camper compare to a Pause 16.4 ? Can this camper “really” be used in the winter in CO or UT ?

That would be like saying make a Ferrari affordable. You can make a cheaper car but it won't perform like a Ferrari. We can make cheaper trailers but it will be cheaper quality as well. You pay for what you get. :)
If you’re gonna slap “extreme” on a trailer it better be able to handle extreme off-roading and I’m not talking about a few mud puddles on a backroad either.

Depends on your definition of extreme, but we have done some fairly rocky off-roading and any of the MDCs handle fine.
Come on get real squirrel
The same Caravan before they added on the extreme. The extreme is for extra solar, extra battery extra indoor stove top bigger inverter, upgraded components all around.

Innovative? Not so much. Shane got all excited about the unit having Truma on board. They have been in the market for a number of years and in a lot of RV’s. Nice little camper but I would have a tough time justifying $70k for this little trailer.
Running A/C off-grid is pretty innovative for a larger manufacturer. Renogy is the newest and most cutting edge of their product they offer.
Sorry it can’t fly. 😅
@ Well, put some wings on it, you never know! LOL
Garth Brooks has really let himself go.
What a nice compliment! Thanks for the comment.
