One of the best memories with my mother, she would take me out to lunch once a month. Horn of the moon had this grilled cheese, tomato and bean sprouts sandwich on the most amazing nutsy earthy homemade bread. Just sitting here a little teary eyed. Loved this place! 💖😉😍💕
Oh my goodness those burritos look so good. I have got to try this recipe. I would definitely visit that restaurant if it was still around. So interesting. Thank you for finding this cookbook. 😁
Hah! Every time I make a new recipe, I leave something... or sometimes a couple of things.. out. Last time, I forgot to season and we had to have the beans on the side 😬 😂 That whole pan looks fantastic, I never think to chop everything up so small despite that being how the restaurants do it it, ours usually stays in strips. I've never tried frying tofu, I'll have to give that a go. I'm really not the biggest fan of it, but maybe frying will make it feel less... tofu-y? Given that her home base was in Montpelier, I'm not surprised to see the use of dairy. Vermont cheese is fantastic. You'll rarely find me saying a negative thing about Vermont though. I'm really interested in checking this cookbook out, there's a lot of great sounding recipes here! I'd love to try those Crepes, I wonder if these could rival The Skinny Pancake 😋
I should've named my channel The Chaotic Cooker! The bigger the recipe the more chances I'm going to forget something!! And I usually don't do well with fried tofu but that tamari really made a difference. I've been through Vermont on vacation and it is certainly a beautiful state. I wish I would've known about the Moon restaurant. I would've stopped to eat there!
