I'm a navy veteran. I was on an amphibious ship so that meant I deployed with marines! I deployed when this movie first came out. Marines are seriously fucking weird about this movie. They would request it SEVERAL times a day and at any given moment you could walk past a marine berthing (sleeping quarters) and hear them singing a song from he movie in unison. It seriously was weird how obsessed the marines are with this movie. I love my jarhead brothers tho..... even if y'all do have low ASVAB scores.
