Aramco Channel 3/Saudi Channel 2 - Scud Missile Alert & All Clear (Gulf War 1991)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 сен 2013
- This was the message broadcast on Aramco and Saudi TV channels when an incoming Scud Missile was detected. It was accompanied by the camp sirens. I can't tell you how happy I am at my dad's wisdom to record this rare bit of Aramco history that I know would be lost forever otherwise.
My parents still remember this alarm and they said it used to be the most terrifying thing more than the bombs
My parents also tell us but i remember that time becouse my age was 7 when that thing happend we was live in Al-Kharj but in 1998 we live now in pakistan. those day's was so much scary when missile sound we listen.
It seems more melodic than American ones
oh yea
My dad was on the American side of the gulf war he said that the bullets at night looked like a one way free way and it light up the entire fighting plane he was on

What a rare find. This is incredible.
Not only it is a rare gem, but this video can serve as a template for Saudi EAS scenarios.
@@damonthaplaya8443 I wonder if they have updated this warning system since.
@@DJAUDIO1 same here. But I think it would be something similar to the Gulf War-era warning system, but better and more informative.
DJ AUDIO1 It’s probably been updated since 1991 considering the American Emrgency Broadcast System was upgraded to the Emergency Alert System, but to what extent for the Saudi Arabian counterpart is beyond my knowledge.
Yea
At least they had an "all clear" message to let the people know that there is no more threat
Wish american alerts had that.
Silent Mime . We actually do. Its the Emergency Action Termination Alert. In major cases if a Emergency Action Notification was issued for the United states, It will follow with a Termination alert, or will follow with a Administrative message or Civil Emergency Message in most rare cases. Mostly in the us, we dont typically use EAN, rather the goverment will send a Civil Danger Warning in a lot of cases. There has to be a serious threat for a EAN, or a Civil Danger Warning being issued anyway
Actually it's international. If you broadcast RED ALERT you need to broadcast WHITE ALERT when emergency ends
if it dosent had that people will wear the gask masks

Sort of. I think it’s all about inflection- if there’s an imminent threat to life, you want your tone to ensure people are listening to what you have to say.
Once the threat has passed, you want people to know it’s okay to relax.
