People ask me why I left the USA, for Barcelona... I just smile. "Obviously you have not been to Sant Cugat" ;-)

Fresh orange juice at the grocery store was honestly a big deal to us as well. I recall when 1L from the juicer was ~30% of what it would cost in the US. Recently, Whole Foods fresh OJ was $17.99 for 64 fluid oz (1.9L)

You can get one liter of orange juice in Mercadona for less than 6 euros.

Awesome episode Patrick! I’ve been waiting for anyone on You Tube to do an episode like this. Any chance you could do this with a Spanish consulate person in regards to people/Americans looking to achieve Spanish citizenship while either visiting Spain or living there? Thanks!!

This was a great interview! I grew up in sant cugat del valles. Moved to the US when I was 14. And that was back in 2012… in the last year or so I’ve been trying to re learn catalan. It’s funny because the bon dia song was the first thing that came to my mind when I thought of speaking catalan. Lol
