Another great and engaging episode, keep it up, please, I'm so enjoying this channel! Aside from obsessing about knitting and crocheting (and yarn), I also love books, cooking and single malt whisky. I live in Israel where the summers are hot and the winters are mild. I knit with a lot of cotton and bamboo, and love wearing my fingering-weight winter knitwear.
Love your podcast and your passion for knitting and also for dance. I love going to ballets and love hearing you talk about it. I am retired now but always danced whenever I could. You are a beautiful addition to our knitting community.
Blanket is beautiful! Awesome cowl! I am also toying with trying an unspun yarn. The Miles jacket is in my peripheral wish list. So, of course, I would love to see podcasts working with either or both.
Now, that is such a great idea of keeping your gauge swatches. It does not need a big file occupying a lot of space. I absolutely agree that the claret is a wonderful color. I honestly hope your gauge works out. I will keep an eye out.
Live your podcast, you doing a great job. Saw some comments about earlier about teaching a barre break - thats a great idea! Knitters sit a LOT, and any opportunity to move is wonderful 😊. The 1000 subscriber yarn order aiunds so fun too. I've been really curious about unspun yarn too.
When I started your video it showed 999 subscribers, I just subscribed, so hopefully you have your 1000 now! I have filmed one podcast (ive done other videos but my heart isn't in that content anymore) but dont have a lot of time for my yarny adventures so I will only get to do podcasts about once every other month in order to have enough change/progress worth sharing.
HI Bonnie, another great podcast! I've had the Bibliophile 2 in my favorites for awhile and your version is making me think of casting it on soon. Your Wishbone Sweater yarn combo is so awesome! I've loved this sweater too but it hasn't floated to the top of my queue yet. I'm working on the Stripey Flannel by Alicia Plummer and the Artus Shawl for a gift. Looking forward to your next episode. Happy knitting!
Hi, greetings from Tampere, Finland. ❄️ Great episode. Totally agree that little knitting mistakes don't really matter, I'm making my first half-brioche hat, and it's so difficult to fix mistakes, so I'm just leaving them be. 😆
I feel like little mistakes are a big part of what makes our projects unique. There’s a beauty in knowing that two people might knit the same pattern but that they’ll never be exactly alike 😁
Hi Bonnie! Cheers from Alaska. I am working on a har and a cowl right now. Wanting to edit a baby sweater for my super tall 9.5 month old. Knitting is my main indoor hobby right now, but I want to get back into sewing and drawing as well. Thanks for sharing! Love your perspective on knitting.
I too adored my Spincycle dreamscape experience with Andrea Mowry’s Incinations shawl! It was a joy to knit.❤. The Harrisville Nightlights and Daylights are woolen (vs worsted) spun. The fiber just fills with air 😊. I love using them. I have a Metamorphic sweater (by Andrea Mowry) almost finished in daylights over easy and Spincycle dyed in the wool verba volante. Love your podcast. I am currently unable to knit due to hand surgery. Podcasts help 😂.
Woolen spun explains so much! I suspected that was the case but wasn’t sure because I’d never knit with woolen spun yarn before. It really is stunning yarn and I’m so excited for the finished sweater in it. I hope your hand heals quickly! Not being able to knit sounds so frustrating.
Hi again Bonnie. Are you tired of me yet? 😂 It was so nice to hear you speak about your love of ballet 🩰 as well as your knitting. Oh, and on the Knitting For Olive yarns… just in case you didn’t know, they are actually light fingering verses a true fingering weight so that’s why you’re having trouble meeting gauge for that one sweater. KFO yarns will work great for the Cumulus Tee you have lined up. Anything with a 28 st gauge works best when using KFO yarn held single. HTH 😊
Also, can you tell me what shawl pattern you’re wearing in this episode? I’m not much for wearing shawls but I love to knit them, but the one you’re wearing is something I might actually wear.
Great video again, Bonnie! Watching you from Bangkok, Thailand. My husband and I are retired World Travelers. Slowed down here in Thailand to catch our breath for a bit, lol. Finding any yarn other than cotton in this country is almost impossible. I am loving this new craft of knitting and I enjoy watching you and getting inspiration from you! Love all your projects!
"When your hands need a break, walk away from the knitting" I have been really struggling to tell myself that this week 😅 but our hands are our most important tools. Your sweater and cowl are stunning! Keep it up!
Trust me, it’s advice I have a hard time listening to as well. I always just want to push it that one extra row or extra pattern repeat, but it’s always a better idea to take breaks when you need them 😊
I recently finished my Shift cowl (also in Spincycle in Scranton, The Meadows and Melancholia) and now I want to knit every single Andrea Mowry garment with that stitch pattern! It's so addictive. BTW I found a similar mistake in mine and duplicate stitched over it at the end. So that's an option, if you care to bother with it. So squishy and warm to wear, you'll love it even more I'm sure. For the new yarn to try, maybe something by Noro? They have lovely wool/silk combos in great interesting colorways. A bit on the pricey side though. Or perhaps think more toward spring/summer knitting and go that way?
Hi Bonnie, thank you for your great podcast, I like the border of your blanket, never seen such a triangle border before and I've been knitting for a very long time 🙂. Currently I'm knitting the Cinema Sweater by Veronika Lindberg, she is from Finland and in Social Media known as Kutovakika, she has also a podcast. Greetings from Germany, bye, Maike 👋
Thank you! Unfortunately I no longer have any idea what yarn I knit this in, but the colors are just black, white, and grey. I think I did it back in 2016 which is well before I documented anything to do with my knitting. I have found that these colors make it really easy to wear with a variety of outfits 😊
I totally forgot to say in the video, but it’s the Drachenfels shawl by Melanie Berg. I no longer have any memory of what yarn I used, but it’s one of my favorite knits
It’s the Drachenfels shawl by Melanie Berg. I meant to talk about it in the podcast but completely forgot 🤦🏻♀️ I knit this years ago before I started documenting any of my knits, so unfortunately I have no idea what the yarn is.

Such a wonderful blanket and oh my gosh Shift Cowl! Thanks for a great podcast!!!!❤
Thank you
Love listening to you talk about knitting. I love blankets and big shawls. There is something about large swaths of fabric that I find so soothing.
Lovely knits, and I am going to adopt your system for organizing your gauge swatch with info on the cards. Great idea!
So glad I found you. I’m originally from California too. Your podcast name is perfect. I’m fairly knitting obsessed myself.

I've always been a fan of Miss Babs Yarns - silk, linens, cashmere, merino and the colors and so beautifully saturated.
I just found your pod cast thank you for sharing Iam really enjoying it a lot

You’re totally inspiring me to make a bunch of baby blankets.
Do it! Blankets are one of my favorite types of projects. I pretty much always have one on the needles.

My main project is the Juniper Brook by Jennifer Beale....but after your last episode, I immediately cast on the Favorite Flannel ❤😊

Ohio here... Loved the shift cowl! Someone in my knitting group is doing the nightshift shawl and I'm all for both of those looks.
Ooh, I really like the nightshift shawl too! I just love how much fun the colors are in a lot of Andrea Mowry’s patterns.

Love hearing about your other passions as I also struggle to juggle all my hobbies. Can’t wait to see the cowl finished. Absolutely beautiful ❤
Thank you! The struggle is definitely real haha 😂

Hello from Ireland 🇮🇪. Live the podcast, I subscribed so you are one step closer to your Manchalopi ( that's probably spelt wrong)😂.
If the little blip on the shift cowl bugs you at all, you can color it with the appropriate color of sharpie marker 😊
Subscribed to enable you to get your yarn
Hi Bonnie, love your Drachenfels shawl by Melanie Berg. Could I ask what yarn colours you used please.
Love your podcast. Sheryl from the uk

That’s great. Thank you. 😊
did you mention in the video what your scarf you are wearing is? is it one you made or store bought? its really cool!

@@AKnitterObsessed it’s gorgeous 🤩
What is the pattern for the beautiful shawl you’re wearing?
It’s the Drachenfels shawl by Melanie Berg. I meant to talk about it in the podcast but completely forgot 🤦🏻♀️ I knit this years ago before I started documenting any of my knits, so unfortunately I have no idea what the yarn is.
