Better use chains and snow rated tyres in Snow. Fortuner mostly traction was off, only for crawling or rutty surfaces traction control was used.

How do you all control engine temps??
Given that this is a prolonged activity and the engine faces with revs with low speeds?

Almost all cars barring 1 or 2 have good cooling systems, there is generally no extra precautions required. But we keep an eye on temp gauge on all cars at all times. Few cars like Thar Petrol and Pajero Sport have to cooled down sometimes if engine temp starts rising.

Great Video. One question - the fact that Thar needs to be cooled after every 15-20 mins of hard driving. Isn't that bothersome and is that a reason to not go for it? Thanks.

One has to be careful with Petrol Thar, no issues with Diesel one

Sir i had a question which has been bugging me since the day i bought my thar
As we know thar has a bld in the front end and it also has traction control also and in simple words we can say traction control helps in excessive wheel slipage
Which i think is also the function of bld (where the computer senses slippage more than the other wheel and delivers power to the other wheel with rpm difference)
So sir my question is will the bld only work when the traction controls is on? Are these two complete different thing which doesnt have to do anything with each other?
when in 4h if we dont switch off tc will the bld work as good as with tc on?

BLD is Mahindra's marketing name for Active Traction control, same term also used by Jeep, Toyota calls the same thing A-trac
