Thank you for your reaction. NewJeans belongs to the K-pop idol music genre. In this context, idols are literally beings who become idols by their fans. However, I feel that NewJeans is moving in a direction of becoming a mirror reflecting certain ideals, nostalgia, and universal emotions rather than becoming idols. When I look at NewJeans' music, vocals, and music videos, it feels like they are shaping universal memories rather than flaunting their own emotions. Specifically, I really like the empty spaces in NewJeans' music. I like the feeling of not overfilling the music. ^^
And to add more to my opinion, although NewJeans makes dance music, I sometimes feel a certain quiet sadness or an inexplicable longing behind the flashy visuals, lively choreography, and cool beats. It's truly mysterious. Some people say that NewJeans' music is boring and not stimulating, but I like the subtle emptiness and sadness that are lightly embedded in their music.
