Had more hope for Kopech. Remember he was supposed to be an ace starter and then Tommy John surgery. He wound up in the bull pen and couldn't do that. Jimenez from the get go could not field. A few latin players are superb. But many (Robert?, Moncada?) don't know how to play the game the right way. Who are today's stars, winners? Judge, Witt Jr., Harper, Betts, Yelich, etc. Teams need a solid anchor or two with American baseball roots. Raw talent does NOT equal baseball IQ.
Sox won’t win many but as the season goes on teams will fall behind, start gripping the bats tighter, lose. I say 47-115 like those 2018 Orioles who likewise fell apart catastrophically. But 120 losses, nah. If those truly awful 2003 Tigers couldn’t do it, neither will this Sox edition.
