@@jordzwaan1937 It's absolutely a thing, and you get around 4-6 power shifts after mana pots and engineering trinket. It's more impactful than it seems though, because it's not used like the TBC powershifting where you shift like crazy. You gotta powershift at the lowest amount of energy + an incoming energy tick that won't bring you above a mangle cost. So it's more of a tactical power shift than a spammy burst power shift (since energy ticks are different in classic than tbc)
@@dat_man_lu You can get a lot more than just 4 to 6 even. I power shift most of my mana away (5 shifts) near the beginning of the fight, then let my mana recover. As soon as my mana is full or the bosses health is low, I start power shifting again. I probably get a minimum of 8 to as many as 12 power shifts on the later fights.

not only were runes disproportionately "both factions" in alliance zones, but many seemed easier to obtain mechanically for alliance than horde for the same class (rune of sabre slash, i'm looking at you; alliance rogues can acquire it at lvl 1, whereas horde rogues need either 80 LP or sprint).
i do agree that for p1 the runes were somewhat alliance favored. but SOD is much much more than the first, second, or even third phases. it's all just a fun gameplay mode. wild growth was really bad as a horde on a pvp server, but it is what it is. let it play out and just enjoy new gameplay.
Getting mage aoe runes are insanely easier to get for alliance. I was shocked at how late horde gets those runes basically ruins your chances to aoe grind to 25

you can easily fix player behaviour, you make the most effective thing the thing you want them to do. Devs have complete control over what the path of least resistance is.
I feel like a arcane mage healer would have been a better choice than a hunter.. could have tank swapped with Druid and had a extra healer who can aoe adds faster

That hunter saying lion won’t help very much is insane. 10% ALL stats is way better than master marksman(25% reduced mana cost for marksman abilities) especially in this situation for hp, int, strength AND agi for warrior/rogue/feral…
You’re forgetting that MM also gives flat 5% crit. Melee and ranged. MM is objectively better you gain 5% crit melee and ranged, and lose about (if you are the ONLY hunter) 50 ap in bis. Since 40 ap = about 1% crit for ranged….do the math.

I agree with all of that except the GDKP runners. I'm sure you're almost never going to get a full 10 players in a GDKP who are all natty, but for those of us who have most the gear we want, but still enjoy running BFD, it's nice to be rewarded at the end of the run with a few extra gold.
