    Has anyone seen drones come around midnite until dawn,started with first lockdown these are tear shaped no propellers, no noise ,have a red or white light at bottom,they maneuver like hummingbirds, effortlessly, some stay stationary at top or middle of trees,with others higher up that move left to right constantly, so many almost looked like Sun rising the sky in the area COMMING from all lit up,these stayed by each house ,had one come right up to my face while on my deck in back,which is high enough I can see top of trees.These I believe were of military grade or other ,not law enforcement they all have red and blue,and have propellers, anyway if anyone else has seen these in sw Missouri would appreciate your input,thank you.

      Thank you for your kind words! Yes, over water at night is not my favorite part but it sure adds to the pictures with all the reflections. I'm undecided if it did take a plunge if I would swim out to get it or not, hope I never have to make that decision! Good Flying!

    Interesting. How about using it as a mobile light stand for night photography. I've seen a few that left the drone in, but I think it would be interesting to light an abandoned house, etc. then remove the drone. What do you think?

      Interesting for sure. Anyway to be creative I'm all for it. Is the house haunted? Now that would add some flair! Good Flying!

      Thanks friend! Part 2 is a longer one, it happens when you start talking FAA regulations, so I had to hire some talent to help me class it up a bit. He did okay considering it was his first time on camera, so don't be too hard on him, he'll learn. 👍 Good Flying!

    What about the drone delivery companies? Will the hobbyist be in for a unwanted surprise? Was going to buy the mini 2, but don't want to waste time and money

    • @AlienDrones
      @AlienDrones  3 года назад +2

      Indeed, there are changes a-comin'. That being said, I enjoy the hobby so much that I wouldn't let them ruin it for me before they do the work. I say make them come and find me and try to take it, then I'll worry... Good Flying!

    As a recreational pilot I know that I can fly in class G airspace at night. Of course following all the rules that you had mentioned during your videos. But the question I have is as A recreational pilot wants to fly in controlled airspace at night I have been unable to get the authorization through air map or Kitty Hawk. So I guess they do not authorize flight in controlled airspace for recreational pilots. At night time. Can you answer this question for me please. Thank you for your help.

    • @AlienDrones
      @AlienDrones  3 года назад

      Hello, thanks for the question. It is not possible for a recreational pilot to fly in controlled airspace at night by simply using LAANC. In order to be able to do this, I believe you need two things, airspace authorization AND night operation authorization since you're in the controlled airspace. One does not preclude the other, you need both. I don't know the exact details on how a hobbyist would do this beyond submitting a daylight waiver and getting it approved first, but I do have a question in to the FAA about this to verify. I'll update this once I receive more details. The FAA is probably sick of me contacting them, but I always want to make I give you guys valid, factual information, not simply give my opinion that may not be based in fact, like many other channels. Good Flying! 👽🛸

      Alien drones Tank you very much for your response. I have tried in many locations to get the answer to this question. Some of the answers I got did not answer the question I had. Maybe I just didn't make the question clear enough. Anyway I thank you very much because your response is the one that I believe the most. I understand you say that you are not When 100% sure. This is just information I want to get if I wanted to fly in a controlled airspace at night. But for sure I will not do that until I know I can get the correct answer. Bank you again very much for your response. You definitely helped a lot. In the meantime I will be flying only during daytime in controlled airspace. Heading class G airspace during day-and-night.

      @@johnnydeeman3076 Greetings and Salutations! Thank you for your thoughtful response! No worries, you question is clear and I'm glad you asked as I learn something too! I think some people would rather attempt to baffle you with bullsh*t rather than dazzle you with brilliance because they don't know the answer and aren't willing or able to do the proper due diligence before they respond (only my 2 cents here, as some do try but it can get complicated! 😉). That being said, the unequivocal answer is... drum roll please... according to the FAA, it is not possible for a hobbyist to fly a UAV at night and in controlled airspace at the same time. It is simply not allowed. For a 107 certified pilot there is a path, but it must be done manually as LAANC will not authorize this. For a 107 pilot, first apply for and receive a daylight operation waiver from the FAA (FYI, I did apply for and receive this from the FAA and the video is here: ruclips.net/video/n4ElejZaC2g/видео.html ) then apply for the airspace authorization on DroneZone (again LAANC will not work for this) and in the process you'll be able to attach the daylight operation waiver. This whole package will then get reviewed (30 day-ish perhaps) and if approved, you can then fly your UAV in controlled airspace at night! Of course, you'll now be the envy of your peers AND have the paperwork to prove it for all the "Karens" out there, LOL! Hope this helps, Good Flying! 👽🛸

      Thankk you thank you very much alien drone. Yes you are correct about that. There are a lot of well known RUclips receiver that fly drones that pass out bad information. For example They put out that you can fly over 400' if you are within 400' of a building or some of the structur=. But I found out that this is only true if you are A107 pilot. But I found out that this is only true if you are A107 pilot Put a don't say that in your videos. This could get someone in trouble if they trusted this information. O well just have to be careful. Thank you again for your information
