I know I'm late to the game here, but I'm in the planning stages of making something similar. I think there are two issues at play here, and both are "simple enough" to fix. Change the lever, or "fulcrum point" position of the steering arm that is in the center of the frame. (The bar that both wheels connect to in front, and the servo arm connects in the back...the bolt holding it onto the frame is your pivot point) The servo side of this arm need to be as long as possible, with the highest amount of swing radius, this is then fine-tuned with the servo arm length and mounted position. The wheel side of this same bar needs to be as short, or as close to the frame as you can get. Thus giving you max leverage and minimum effort. Next, is to tackle the power of your steering servo itself. It's probably too weak. (25kg-35kg for ex.) Consider and upgrade to something as hefty as a 75kg servo. The added torque will help move that weight under load. Combine the two, and you should be on to something. Good luck!
From thailand, like your projects
Anyway, you could consider a steering with "Ackermann" geometry:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ackermann_steering_geometry
Fantastic idea and cool content
Excellent project and work! Exactly what I was looking for. What do you plan to do for the brakes? I am thinking about reverse the drive motor. Any better ideas?
*Maker Tutor* Cool !! keep doing
You can use a wiper motor which converts into a powerful server motor. Then the functionality is easy and you can access variable speeds with PWM for steering.
I hope this is rear steering.
If not, do as
nonconformist suggested.
If it is front steer then it will always want to turn left or right.
It is front, I would recommend turning the whole axle assembly 180 degrees.
Node MCU coding for smart home project please one video
What are the materials used, it would be very helpful for my research project
Please make more such videos...And recommendation is that use IoT and use it for real work in house.. please make working video..And if possible please voice over.. please talk in video...
Excuse me how to make this controller or do you have video to make this project have controller
It's very good only the turning mechanism is poorly designed and it can shock absorbers too.
When part 3? It looks great
I'm requesting to help me with the components required
You need around the screws still compensation sleeves to minimize the play in the steering
Thanks for your advice
hey where is the part 3. it looks excellent
Ótima ideia, parabéns!
Use rack and pinion or linear actuator for steering.
Excellent when you will be ready
Thanks so much
For your steering you have to do some research on Ackermann/ caster/ camber and your king-pin inclination. Without these fundamentals you are wasting your time, no matter how big or small you build
were to buy this robot parts ? please provide link
It's too slow to steer it like this . That won't allow you to go fast enough .
Try using a lever mechanism or simply the distance between the thread turner and the middle joints shorter and the distance between the front wheels rodes joints and the middle joints longer until you get the best ratio between torque and speed "in steering of course" .
And sorry for some bad vocabularies I am not native at English
Yes, it's a bit slow to turn. I will try to follow the instructions. To get good results
Thanks so much
Hi Dear,
I have 3018 pro, grbl v1:1, Candle use in window 7,
when I give comand Home then first axis move to home X, then second move axis Y, and then third axis move to Home Z,
But I want first Z axis move to Home, and then other axis move to home, please solve my problem. Please do my help,
Please make video for this problem
Create your own Mecanum wheels and eliminate steering altogether
Thanks for your advice
Awesome
What motor did u use for the steering mechanism, the one connected to the pulley?
That's a nema17
Mam can you please make a k type thermocouple based vfd speed control inverted (temperature increases and speed decreases) please mam i need this help Please
Windsheild wiper motor. I think they're Stepper(?) Your motor set up is a cool idea but I think its a lot of pressure on the bar n motor when baring weight. Jmo. Nice project though. X~[θ]~X
Oh yeah, I forgot to miss the wiper motor, thank you very much.
Seeing the ad to monetize them.
ARE U A GIRL OR A BOY
She is my boss I'm a boy.
Very cnc like approach to steering :). Love it.
Here's my giant robot lawn mower :)
