    Took a trip to the Inglewood bird sanctuary in hopes of taking some nice wildlife photos, it did not disappoint. Had the Sony 70-350mm on my a6000, its a great lens that practically lives on my camera. Also had the Sigma 30mm F1.4 that I got a few shots with.

    Dude I love your videos. No click bait, no bullshit intro telling me to smash that like button, just great photos of nature. I enjoy the gopro setup too because it gives viewers a sense of how much zoom a 70-350mm on a crop sensor camera gives you.
    Not a criticism but would you mind putting the camera settings alongside each photo? I'm always curious how much zoom/shutter speed/ISO I'd need to capture similar photos.

    woah just found this video as I've been thinking of getting the 70-350. The steadiness for you to be shooting 1/100 on those photos at the end is unreal!

    Hey
    Just a suggestion, add the settings of the photo like the focal length under the photo that would be nice

    Hi! I am about to sell my Nikon d700 with 50mm 1.8 and a 70-200 2.8 and buy a Sony a6000 since I completely love the way you use it, the lightnes (nikond700 plus 70-200 is 2.3kg. ) I can buy a brand new one for about €400 with a 16-50mm. Will I miss my d700 or will I just forget it and love the a6k?

    How did you manage to not get the camera damaged in the drizzle? I have the same camera and I get scared taking it out in the mild drizzle.

      I always bring a dry cloth with me when I know the weather may be a bit wet, I always take time to give it a full wipe down off camera. I shoot a lot in the snow/rain, i recommend always shooting with a hot shoe cover and make sure the battery compartment door is always dry.

    A6000 and rain? How wet can it get? I have the 6100

    • @PatrickS.
      @PatrickS.  3 года назад +2

      Ive used it in lighter rain and pretty heavy snowfall and have never had any issues. Just usually keep a dry cloth with me to wipe it down every now and then. The a6000 is labeled as "weather sealed", but I think its more then capable of being in these conditions. Just have to be cautious with how much exposure it gets.

      I’ve used an A6000 for years (now on an A6400) No problem with light rain. The weak point of these cameras (yes, this includes the better sealed A6400 and A6600 as well) is the battery compartment door. So if you’re careful with that in the rain, you should be okay..

      Thanks for the video! I shoot with the A6000 as well and am on the fence as to whether i should get the 70-350

    • @saifaldin_
      @saifaldin_ 3 года назад

      @@shawnswan If you’re not shooting fast moving subjects, the A6000 will go fine with the 70-350.. but that lens has more potential with it’s fast AF motor, and newer bodies can take advantage of that.

    • @PatrickS.
      @PatrickS.  3 года назад

      @@shawnswan it really is a fantastic lens, as well as being quite versatile. I think if its in your budget, its a worthy lens to add to your bag.
