    The sponging is a great technique; I never considered doing that before!

      I’m sure there are other ways but I do like the finish you get with a sponge 👍

      @@Grandadstrainroom-pn3tt That would be good. Your modelling really is first class, but a bit of chatter always makes the video more watchable in the end. Lovely work though!

    I have road markings to add to a road and might make a small car park so really useful vid thank you 👍.
    Also waiting on my sponge walls to arrive ordered some a few days ago 👍

    I like your roads not being a uniform colour. Bus-stops at railway stations, of course, have a high duration, so may show more witness of engine oil, and tyre indents

    Nice video can you show how you did the parking lot lines please?

    • @Grandadstrainroom-pn3tt
      @Grandadstrainroom-pn3tt  Год назад +2

      Hi, sorry for the late reply - I’ve been away. I did the parking lots in exactly the same way, using a scale ruler to make the lots 2.4m wide and 4.8m long (in real terms 31.5mm wide and 63mm wide for OO gauge). Then used the masking tape and applied the paint using the sponge method. Finally toned down the lines with a bit of weathering powder

    Thanks for sharing enjoyed this one, not sure what era you are but do you require double lines at junction give way (if early then not) what was the distance between the lines please. I will be giving your technique a go, thanks.
    Regards Barry..

    • @Grandadstrainroom-pn3tt
      @Grandadstrainroom-pn3tt  Год назад +1

      Thanks Barry. The era is a bit of a mishmash! Generally early 60’s so not sure if double lines were around then. Also not sure if double yellows were introduced back then?- I’ll have to do some research!! The lines are 4m long with a 2m gap (in scale) which is roughly 53mm lines and 26mm gaps 👍

    Miniatures that are taken to this degree always makes me unreasonably happy. Really beautiful. What era is this scene, 40s/50s?
