OMG, what an overly complicated interface. what is wrong with a dial for temperature and a dial for mode? It would take less time to walk to the neighbors house and use their 'traditional' oven than to set this up
I had a Smeg oven installed 7 years ago. After 2 it stopped working. Just outside the warranty period. I argued to get it fixed and I shouldn't pay. Had to pay the technician. Now I've got a useless piece of metal that won't work. They want $1000 to fix it. That would add almost 40% to the original price. I have photos of burnt out writing from using the pyrolitic function but they refuse to replace the parts or give me a new oven. They are not fit for purpose and in my opinion a potential fire hazard.
Programming is a nightmare. And mine has a completely different setting process than this one from the video. I wonder if I gonna learn how to use this thing one day.
Don’t buy these Smeg ovens. The user interface is ridiculously complicated and the internal electronics are equally complicated and temperamental. You will be likely frustrated with call out repairs which will empty your wallet. I've had the authorised repairer out 5 times. Clock replaced twice which is a known weak point with Smeg. Now the damn oven crapped itself electronically and after 3 attempts to get it working I’m up for a new one for $3,700. Incompetent authorised repairers and overly complicated / temperamental electronics. Buy a different brand.
Worst oven ever! When the light bulb stops working, all the functions stop working as well! The display gives error 9,7 and 5. It has been like this since it was brand new. We tried buying the same bulbs and replacing them ourselves but nothing changes. The oven needs to go to the maintenance for a couple of weeks to get it fixed. Then they charge us a big amount of money for changing the bulbs only as they claim! If the issue was only about a bulb why don't they change it at our house instead of taking the whole oven! The oven has factory defects in the wiring and the electronics. I contacted the mother company several times but they did absolutely nothing! Big disappointment 😞

seriously people buy anything but smeg. As the lady below commented it is easier to walk to a neighbour and use their oven
