This channel deserves more subscribers. Thank you for what you do. Regardless of how much I think I know, I usually pick up another nugget or two from you.

I often don't agree with all your Mistakes to Avoid, but this time you are spot on with every one of them. The only slight difference of opinion I would make is on Centralizing Appliances such as cook top, sink, and dishwasher. Sink and dishwasher must always be next to each other in any kitchen design and I believe the refrigerator should be part of the mentioned appliances of cook top and sink that form a short triangle of access.

In an island, the refrigerator is often central enough

This Chanel is so damn great. You guys are genuinely informative. Despite most of this not applying to my home as I don't live in America 😆

I got a GE Twin Flex double oven two years ago -- two smaller ovens in a single size space. It's terrific: all the functionality & flexibility of a double oven without being overkill. Plenty of capacity, but no wasted space to heat up & it doesn't eat into storage space. Leaves room above for a steam or speed oven or for a microwave.

Useful. I have a 129-inch-long galley with doors at both ends.
My plan is single wall oven on the interior wall next to the door to the dining room, fifteen inch landing zone countertop, thirty-inch cooktop, fifteen-inch landing zone, 36-inch full-depth fridge.
The plan is raise the oven about a foot above the toe-kick with a storage drawer in the bottom of the oven cabinet, a granite countertop on top for the toaster oven, can opener, no coffee maker, thank you, can't stand the stuff, and food processor. OTR Chef Mike above the cooktop (nowhere else for him, and he is regularly employed, no kids in the house).
Now the surprise: I have three Bosch 800-series stainless drawers, one a warming drawer, two storage that will be stacked below the cooktop.
