However when I started haggling and offered 40$ for both (I read a common strategy is to start with around a third of the asking price), she didn't give a counter offer and asked 110$ for both. The watches looked really nice, nice craftsmanship... She also had cheaper ones with battery for 25$. At the night market south of Wat Phnom Daun Penh next to Preah Sisowath Quay, they asked 16-20$ for battery ones, but had mostly just Rolex/Rolax, a few Omegas, Hublot, "Aduemrus Piaget".. also some were terrible quality, sharp edges, gold painting chipping...
Did a lot of this type of watch shopping back in the days in China. They had huge stock and if you complained about the quality they would run away and bring a set of watches, or bring you to a secret room where they were hiding the quality stuff. As I remember the quality watches were VERY hard to buy below 300 CNY, so 40 USD. If it really was a more quality one, meaning a replica which is hard to spot its replica with a decent movement inside, then you got a good deal. Looking at the links of your sub though, it did not look to be a good replica..
I buy a lot of watches at Central Market. Found going to same vendor and early morning ( morning price) has got me some good deals. Prices vary. There is high end copies that are a little more expensive. $20- $35 range for watches seems the range. I have had them start at $100. Walk away.
I think the price is either high or reasonable. To clarify the high price, central market is a tourist market in my point of view, so the rent for the vendors is a little high than the other markets. This makes the sellers set the price a little high, so they can balance the profit and the rent. On the other hand, the second watch that you got seems to be the good replica. I believe what she said is somehow true because I get a fake Longines with stainless steel for $20 and the other fake watches from BKK market for $3 each. Now, the $3 watch has stopped working already. The frame started getting moldy and rusty. There's no bettery for replacement as it the price is too cheap, so no one imports the battery for the replacement as it would be a lot cheaper than the watch. However, the $20 Longines still works till these days even though I bought it 6 years ago. There's always available parts that I can fix the watch, especially the leather strap and the battery. See! They are both from China, but they work in different and efficient ways.

My recommendation to you if you wanna get the better price is to go to Old Market in Khmer (ផ្សារចាស់). There are few shops on southeast of the market which is on the same front street of the market. They sell good grade of replica because I got my Longines there. I don't know if they sell the original one as I didn't dare ask because I couldn't afford to buy one. Anyway, the way that you bargained is a lot better if you do it in Khmer. It's more convincing that they think you know more about this country. Next time, try sell them some stories that you have lived here since you were born. Also, you can try walking away like the others recommended after trying to negotiate the best deal that you can. I hope you don't find this boring. I just wanna share some tips to you. Hope you find it useful.
