I swear I think that Rey will go on in life loving Ben and ever so rarely he'll be able to pop back up so they can hug and talk for like 2 minutes it's so sad

As for people calling the original ending horrible, I fear they underestimate the effects of trauma and the wrath of people having lost family and dear ones to Kylo Ren's hand and command from both sides. And while you could say they could probably hide in the way Luke did, being a force bearer - as seen in luke - isn't going to let them be hidden. Since they've been empowered to be effective! Between allowing him to pass in peace and wishing him the life of a broken person, watching his trauma affect his dear ones, coping with assassination attempts at him and Rey without losing it again ...... I can't help but think such thing too cruel. It'd be tough enough on a regular person, but with power, the extent of possible damage is weighing unlike deeper. And it'd only take even a half successful attempt at harming Rey to eventually throw him back into his personal hell that'd again spread outside. But this time surely with the intent to wipe it all! He could go and thus be with her forever from a safe space where "taking action" is mostly cancelled unless it's an act of support and kindness.

DayofToast he’s a high ranking member of an organisation responsible for the deaths of billions who has personally wronged her buy kidnapping her, forcibly invading her mind, killing her new found father figure and severely injuring seemingly the first real friend she has made in her lonely existence. Obviously fin is already heeled but she doesn’t now that yet It’s not that I object to any kind romance between them at all it’s just that I don’t by that she is willing to do so much for him after only a day or two after he has done all this and (a least from what we are shown) a fuw fleeting conversation ps through the force that amount to only a few minutes in the film. Look at DragonBallZ, arguably the most popular anime of all time. Vegeta kills so many people that he makes Palpatine looks like a puppy yet he finds redemption and love as well. Ben and Rey understand each other in a way that is mystical and spiritual. It shouldn't be compared to real life.
TheCCCKKK 1: I expect fictional characters to be written in such a way that they act in accordance with there establishment character traits and experiences. (At least within a narrative that aspires to be internally consistent like Star Wars) If a character acts in a way that is blatantly contradictory to that characters traits and or experiences then I deem it to be poor writing and find It much harder to be invested in said characters. I find the notion that it is somehow wrong or incorrect to expect characters to act in accordance to there particular stimulus to be mildly bewildering. 2: The fact that Reylo is an enemies to lovers story Doesn’t substantively change Ben and Rey’s established traits, experiences or interactions. The fact that Reylo is an enemies to lovers story is a mute point when discussing the substance of quality of the writing at hand. 3: I have not seen/read any Dragonball media and as I’m not in a position to comment on it. That being said I would point out that the popularity of any given piece of story telling dose not necessarily make that piece of storytelling good or bad. 4: I understand that due to both rey and ben being force sensitive that they can more keenly sense each others emotions and that they have been linked though the force by Stoke/Palpitean allowing them to speck over great distances, (there is also the aspect of them being a dyad in the force but the nature of this connection is never elaborate upon be on the vague statement that they are “two that are one”) however for the reasons stated in my earlier comment I am still not convinced that rey would go from “murderous snake“ and “you are a monster” (for good reason) to love in the course of a few days and a handful of conversations totalling the length of only a few minutes. (At Least from what were shown) A sense of empathy towards what Luke and snoke’s actions turned him in to? Maybe. But strait up falling for him? NO! At beast, Rey falls for Ben because she was destined to as part of being a dyad in the force with him regardless of how one might expect her to act based on there actual interactions.
