    A Lumix G7 used body with a good prime lens, capture card, and a dummy battery can be had for $600-700 and is still a full on mirrorless camera and will out perform this. They priced themselves out of who would be the most interested

    999$ is a crazy ask for it, for the same price there's literally the blackmagic micro studio which is the exact same form factor but with a sensor that will blow this one out of the water and i already thought it was a tough sell for a k. but this shit is a scam, like those elgato keylight

    • @louichang2027
      @louichang2027 6 месяцев назад +5

      I agree! Especially, if some have live-stream switchers like Atem mini, blackmagic micro studio will provide much higher quality videos anyway.

    • @lomelyo
      @lomelyo 6 месяцев назад

      Ignorant dumb response. The Blackmagic also has a MFT Sensor. It had better color science but that’s because it’s a cinema company. The Mevo is aimed at professional livestreams and you are paying for the connectivity and functional WiFi. Overall very dumb take as 999 is in par of what the industry is offering.

    • @louichang2027

      @@lomelyo While I respect your opinion, many people need better quality videos than being able to live stream via Wifi connectivity and other functionality. Also, to get the full access and unlock every capability of this device, you will end up paying additional subscription fees. Not sure how you can justify that when Blackmagic, Sony, and other companies provide better quality with versatile connectivity without some subscription fees hidden.

      Blackmagic Micro Studio G2 does not have wireless functionality, it needs cabling or a wireless adapter to work properly, if you use the wireless adapter you wont be able to control the camera remotely that requires its own cable.
      The Logitech MEVO while overpriced imo, still makes a lot more sense than spending 1000 bucks on an ATEM Mini, then another 500 to 700 bucks for cabling all your f**king Studio G2 cameras into your ATEM, you seem to be under the impression that fibre optic cables are cheap LOL!
      The fact the MEVO actually connects to a tablet wirelessly is pretty big, you can easily just get an iPad mini or whatever for 300 bucks and then you got like 3 MEVO's for the price of your Blackmagic setup, all wirelessly controlled via one tiny little tablet, for small TV broadcasting work, that would be a giant dream come true, the fact I can get an electric zoom lens for these and control it via the Logitech app, and motorised tripod heads and remotely control 3 cameras, are you INSANE?
      This would be my dream come true and I worked in small TV for a long time, the only thing that has come close, are Sony RX100 that we hooked up to these custom made Raspberry Pi that we programmed to control the camera functionality via a custom written software running on a Windows Surface, all of this cost us 70k dollars in total.

    RE: Mevo Pro Subscription @ 5:00. It is needed for NDI inputs and NDI output. But if you use Mevo Webcam App Output you can send the program to Mevo Wireless Webcam running on a PC or mac. This can be used as a virtual webcam source in Streamlabs or OBS and others. The MWW option does not require a Mevo Pro subscription.

    • @marco.vielfalp
      @marco.vielfalp 2 месяца назад

      Not correct. NDI Output DOES NOT need a subscription - only if you use multi camera setup and need their software to manage them - can also use a 3rd party software for that...

    A stupid product at stupidly expensive price with stupid subscription.
    At $999 lens non included, better buy Canon DLSR and use it as webcam at cheaper price.
    If you really need multi-camera setup, OBS definitely can do that with no cost.
    If I take it correctly, Meevo core needs additional phone, tablet, or maybe PC to use multi camera... so it is equivalent to additional streaming PC.
    The product needs to lower the price, gives lens, and remove subscription to compete with existing product in the market.

      It's simply not for the same purpose. The MEVO Core is focussed on LIVE STREAMING. So it supports SRT protocoll, HEVC Encoding and WiFi6E (to name just a few features) - all those things the Sony ZV does not have at all...

    • @iamthegamingnerd
      @iamthegamingnerd 2 месяца назад

      @@marco.vielfalp I'm sorry but none of those advantages justify the price point.. at all
      Streamers are not THAT bothered for lower latency than what camlink already provides and having my camera connected to WiFi is not necessary and HEVC coding is not taken across the industry with all editing software picking it up as standard. So... all that is just marketing buzz words and not practical advantages.
      A ZV-E10 is amazing at what streamers need AND you can buy a lens with the extra money saved AND acts as a SLR camera on your travels. It's an absolute no brainer.

    • @marco.vielfalp
      @marco.vielfalp 2 месяца назад

      @@iamthegamingnerd Streaming at home is anyway not much of a challenge - you just mentioned yourself, you have no use for the WiFi - so obviously not a cam for your use case.
      I am talking more about outdoors, with mobile router etc. so far if you wanna do it right(!), wireless and long(!) you end up with quite a big setup and multiple devices which is quite bothersome. I have not found anything about potential overheating with the mevo core - need to test it myself I guess..
      //so for YOU those are buzz words and not practical advantages ;-) - that's a slight difference - for other use cases it can be a game changer (HEVC!-needing half the bitrate etc., Wifi6e for crowded environments, SRT way more efficient protocoll than RTMP) - that's why I asked for a comparable(!) product

    • @iamthegamingnerd
      @iamthegamingnerd 2 месяца назад

      @@marco.vielfalp that to me is a very niche situation as most creators love stream on the go from their phones. Which also is $1000 and does exponentially more things.
      So do you see what I'm saying? At this price point this product doesn't have a market - caveated with 'in my opinion'

      They want to sell the multi-cam feature though... I assume they never heared about OBS... it is free with same features.
      They really try hard to sell "adjusting speed, ISO, etc wirelessly". Think about this... it will be used in mostly fixed place with fixed light position and adjustment... who the heck need to adjust it in the middle of the stream??

      yeah just buy a bunch of used a6000/6100 or even cheaper used canon sl2/200d/other old entry level canon that have clean hdmi out hook up to multi capture card would be cheaper with smaller crop on the censor. its not as practical since you have to deal with dummy battery and all but still cheaper.
      micro 4/3 have a huge crop that means you also need a wide lens, which usually more expensive.

      Clearly you never worked in television when you say dumb stuff like this, you cannot have reliable good multi-cam setup with OBS, I mean its not really designed for it, its designed for basic streaming which it does well, if you want serious stuff, then you need something like Blackmagic ATEM Mini switch board.
      While the Logitech is expensive, it offers wireless and easy multi-cam setup and with a cheap tablet you can easily adjust all the settings needed and even zoom with the appropriate lenses, this means you can be one man television studio, honestly, for the price, thats insane, BM charges top dollar, you need another thousand bucks just for the ATEM Mini which is limited and needs a Windows or Mac to work.
      The fact that Logitech allows you to control the cameras from a tablet is mind boggling, without the need of expensive wireless routers and receivers, without the need of adapters to control the cameras which means you need multiple tablets to display different apps and so on and so forth.
      And you would want to change stuff during broadcasting, maybe the lighting changes, maybe the people on the stage move so you need to zoom out or heck if you have motorised remote controlled tripod head and mounted the cameras on, you can easily adjust zoom while moving the cameras from your command centre.
      This is a really good deal and it seems to have really good autofocus for being contrast detect.
