i remember back in 2017 when i didn’t have a job, i made acrylic nails out of baby powder and clear nail polish for PROM. and they turned out pretty damn good, no one suspected a thing😂

I just want to say I love your ideas, I grew up poor and could never get my nails done. Things are definitely different now, I can buy acrylic and do my nails. But this just reminded me of when my friend showed me how to do my nails with tea bags and glue. It worked so good and they looked good and real. It was just time consuming. You cut a tea bag, dump the leaves and cut the bag into tons of squares to fit your nail and, how ever long and just keep gluing more layers until the thickness you need, I used a toothpick to move it around and a nail file to shape. They looked like a natural nail but longer. And it was the cheapest way I’ve ever done my nails but I appreciate that you can see that not everyone has the money to get their nails done or to buy some nail brands and you show how to have good nails no matter what kind of money I got in the bank!
Yesss I deff have tried and it works amazing but what’s crazy is that’s how women used to repair their nails back in the day not with acrylic lol! Times have changed!

i mean acrylic can be bad for ur nails if they do it incorrectly .. but technically a lot of stuff is a chemical, chemical doesnt mean its bad. Baking soda is technically also a chemical

I'm currently doing my nails this way. I also went to the dollar tree. The baking soda or baking powder really is good. It does look and feel just like original acrylic powder. It is much smoother than acrylic just like you said. I love it.
She should try to color the baking soda and use it like colored acrylic.

I don't have a dollor tree here in wales but we do have a pound (dollor) shop so same same I suppose 😆 I paid £2.50 for 200 nail tips 100 clear tips and 100 white (so not everything is a quid but it's good) so the baking soda really works? Also putting color powders in the soda 2 color it is a good idea! Shall be trying this on weekend!!!

I have to apologize. I started watching this looking at everything you’re getting from the dollar tree and then thinking OK this girl is for real fixing to do nails with baking soda, nail glue, and nail tips all from dollar tree; “What kind of mess is coming out of this?” But your nails look absolutely amazing. i love how she maked everything about the video great. the timing, not too fast not too slow. explanation is clear, and not too loud or low. creativity gets a complete 100% alone, and i love how she used that eyeshadow on her nails. this video was awesome. she used cornstarch, make up, makeup brushes, nail glue that has a brush, i never knew existed, regular nail file wich is harder work, she didnt skimp. best part... drum roll please....EVERYTHING WAS DOLLAR TREE, CRAZY CHEAP!!! and she did a beautiful design!!! you can actually!! you can make nails with toilet paper! the TP is the Tip and like she did, just use baking soda & nail glue. its as strong as acrylic!
