Yeah it's a great smooth rod and reel combo and it's way cheaper than most good baitcasting combos I only got mine for 60 bucks which isn't much for a baitcaster as good as it is

sorry i didn't see this comment till now but I use this cheap 10 pound omniflex line nothin much and I also have tied stronger like like 20 lb or even braid to my main line. The fish im guessing was about 3 pounds i may be wrong though
Yep comon problem people cast right handed swap hands then reel right handed its called wally winding if you cast with your right you should reel with your left and vice versa some people don't understand it saves swapping hands you don't see people serve right handed in tennis then playing with the racket in there left hand do you wally winders

In this video I used I think 12 pound mono. I love mono cuz it's the cheapest and works for almost any lure
I think you should try braid because it has no stretch compared to monofilament line
