The factory medium power rod is big difference between the medium heavy power rod. The ABU Garcia STX medium heavy power moderate fast Action rod size 40 reel. is money the flexibility and plenty of pulling power in the rod. The medium power rod is for little lures not a spinner 1/2 with a trailer will push the weigh to much for the rod to handle. It's nothing like medium heavy power rod for a baitcaster reel ⁉️ Lew's LZR PRO combo from Walmart. I want a cherry wood rod.

I use a Berkly cherry wood medium ligh rod with an Abu Garcia reek and it works amazingly

I just got one and would u recommend mono or braid and what pound test
My favorite is probably going to be 17lb mono braid causes to much problems.
I have 12lb mono on mine but I'm sure braid would work aswell
