Yeah it got manually copyright claimed and blocked by channel 4. I’m working on a dispute atm so hopefully can get it back up, if not I’ll re edit it and re upload it as soon as I can so people can finish watching it
@@waterwaveybabybruh I literally woke up, started watching it but I went to the skate park with like 7 minutes left in the video , I come back 2 hours later an it’s gone :(
Just like how the animation world copied Pixar in the decade before it? I miss movies like El Dorado and Atlantis, that blend of hand draw and CGI was on an entire other level.
I think the reason movies like spiderman - into the spidervers are considered to have such good animation is its take on making it look 2-D / comic style. Going back to the glory days of animation and giving it a futuristic vibe
Thank you for so good video! And I'm hope the other talented animators from newgrounds will see on the smiling friends and try to pitch their ideas to channels. Cuz, you can be the most talented person or the coolest animator, but without a team and money it's not so easy to make a complete season of animation.
Animation from Little Mermaid to Princess and the Frog is on an entire other level that I can't help but put those things in a higher category. As stunning as all the shows/movies you mentioned so much is still computer generated which just degrades it to me. I am glad that we're finally challenging and pushing it way forward, but it's only after an entire decade plagued with samey Pixar-Like quality which will make 2010s a decade of animation decline.
I tried rewatching Arcane recently, the framerate was too damn high for me! (Still watched it through, it's a great show obviously, just I had become so used to the lower framerate)
The golden age of animation was from the early 1930s to mid 1940s. The best example being fantasia but it kind of ended with fantasia, it was a flop and the most expensive animation (adjusting for inflation and technique) ever made. Every frame is an extremely smooth transition based on realistic body movement and doesn't have any transitional frames, that is insane, especialy for cel animation.
Watching Arcane as it released was awesome I remember sitting with my friends at breakfast those few weeks during my senior year and we were speculating what was coming next in Act 2 and 3, and where the story would go next season I told them the Firelights leader HAD to be Ekko, and I was so glad I was right. Ekko's my favorite champion (aside from my boy Blitzcrank, he better be in Season 2) so I was so happy to see him in the show And my friend hated me every time I talked about Viktor's Hextech sigma grindset
Awesome video!!! Anination is great :) there is a show that was made this year that may have goof animation, but is bad at everything else, it starts with the letter V, and it is a Scooby-Doo show
Got really nostalgic and decided to rewatch all of digimon, ben 10 up through ultimate alien, and mystery incorporated, and those 90s-10s cartoons are better than every movie from 2019-2024 combined
in the late 1950s a company by the name of UPA had gained popularity due to its animation looking more simple compared to companies such as Disney and Warner Bros. it followed on the idea of having a good story over its animation while still looking nice. eventually when the television took to the rise, more studios adopted this style. this caused some not to get the picture about its story than animation base and focused on its less expensive budget, and caused most animations (besides some memorable ones which remembered its base) to be filler only for children, causing the 1960s to be considered the worst decade for animation. im hyped for the future of animation, i really am, i love Into The Spider-Verse and Puss In Boots 2, but history can tend to repeat, so god knows i hope this form of animation manages to stay good for some time.
I’m totally biased but I still view the early 2000’s as the golden age of anime idk about animation in general but we had the best video games and anime imo but it could be a syndrome of seeing our childhood with rose colored lenses. I think it’s more blatant when ppl younger than me look (not that far) back and reminisce.
No, we are not in a golden age of animation. The only good animation out thier is coming out of japan…still. Cause everything made in the us is made by computers. And or is mostly made OVER SEAS. Lol. Spiderverse is literally just reducing the frame rate… The younger generations accept such trash.
How does using computers make animation worse? You know there’s just as much creativity with computer animation as with any other style. It’s purists like you who keep the medium from progressing any further.
Shit take. I do agree that we are not in a golden age of animation but we came pretty damn close. Not to mention Japan produces a lot of dogshit as well.
Almost 2 minutes in and i can't finish this, there's nothing golden about either of these animations. They're lazy, sore on the eyes and such a headache, there's nothing remotely good about any of them. We've had nearly a century of better, well made, beloved, and timeless animations that has good quality animation as well as a good story with enjoyable characters. I thought animation in recent years were terrible, but these ones had proven that they can be a whole lot worse.
Nostalgia is a slippery slope one who enjoyed a product or program can grow spiteful of newer interpretations of once beloved characters that can be seen as inferior despite the reluctancey to experience new creations and one who is clouded by Nostalgia is clouded by ignorance and the ignorance of one to say that a creation of such magnitude is of no value is to compare the works of Shakespeare to dr Seuss
I watched your upload on the Wind Blows film an hour ago and now it’s blocked. Did it get flagged that fast??

It’s because the higher ups think animation is dumb kids stuff so they don’t bother to screw around with it and just let the writers work on the film.
There is one problem with everyone (more or less) copying Spider-Verse's art style is that it could become overdone.
And I'm terrified of that.
Just like how the animation world copied Pixar in the decade before it?

Yeah Arcane and Spider-Man really raised the bar for animation as a whole an their affects will be seen for years to come.
Yesss

I’d say we’re in a golden age of cg animation, but not really any other styles.
I would of put Spirited Away in one of those three. Just saying.
