it's truly such a beautiful thing that we can spend our entire lives discovering there's even more amazing music out there. there's no time limit to discovering great musicians/bands who are new to you! this is a good video. I really like that you took care with both understanding their message and the ways that this band ties together a diversity of sound and inspiration

Had to pause this to listen to Elegy for Extinction (and had to look up the definition of elegy 😆), awesome. Thanks for bringing new bands to my attention. Can I sub multiple times to bring up your numbers? Aw, too bad.
One of my top3 bands ever, although the last couple of albums haven't been exactly my cup of tea. A Flash Flood of Colour is the album that does it for me, not a single forgettable song on that one and it has a bit of everything. There's a making of documentary called "Phenakistoscope" that I highly recommend.
Rou was a really interesting guy to interview. So wonderfully insightful and engaged. It was my first major interview and I was supposed to take 20 minutes but I wasn’t paying attention and we blew out of about 40. 😂I bumped into him backstage at Good Things festival in Sydney a few weeks later and told him that he was incredibly gracious and generous with his time. I should point out that about 2 weeks before the interview I didn’t really listened to Enter Shikari so I studied my ass off and had several pages of notes taped up around my monitor. 😭
@@PrymalChaos Checking it out right now, thanks! I had the chance to see them when I was in Australia in 2015, but it didn't go my way in the end unfortunately and that was a bit of a bummer.
Interesting insights about this. So if I can get someone to offer an interview you listen to their entire back catalogue & become a fan? I will have to contact some people who you couldn't straight up throw a Ren reference to. Hope you do expand the platform, why not see if you can get on any sets so you can see the process take place. Since you produce & play actually get involved in something from ground up? There are perhaps more artists out there than you would think open to such bombastic uninventable suggestions. Just look at how Asterism let Bootsy Collins sit in and produce a few of their pieces, perhaps you don't need to be as famous to get involved & shed light from within the process?
