You mentioned Steel Panthers? Well there's a Nanowar song which is entitled "Uranus" featuring Micheal Starr, you can't miss it! Btw welcome in the Nanowar club!
You're thinking of German Schlager, which you get in Electric Callboy's Hurrikan. I don't think it has much to do with what Nanowar does. And I second the suggestion for Norwegian Reggaeton. Save Valhalleluja for Christmas.
Awesome reaction! Nanowar of Steel can really be a rabbit hole of very well composed music, greatly executed parodies of so many diverse music genres (you correctly got the Rammstein reference), really smart jokes and puns, and great quality music videos. They are from Rome and they mostly do this as a hobby, but boy, they're good. If you are interested in other of their songs (some of witch have great featured artists too) I can suggest: - Tooth Fairy - Ironmonger - Barbie Princess of the Twilight - Norwegian Raggeaton - Valhalleluja - Pasadena 1994 - Winterstom in the Night - Sober - La Polenta Taragnarock I strongly suggest to watch them with the subtitles on, as they sometimes sing in languages other than English (Italian, Spanish, German).
- And Then I noticed she was a gargoyle - Heavy Metal Kibbles - Afraid to shoot into the eyes of a stranger in a strange land - Armpits of immortals - Il signore degli anelli dello stadio (subs on)
Fun list (though I've never liked Barbie myself)! Based on what you've reacted to here, I'd probably suggest holding off on Pasadena 1994 for a while - it has more impact if you are familiar with the guest singer.
Barbie was my introduction to the band. I honestly didn't realise at the time that they were an actual band; I thought it was just an elaborate silly video. But wow, one I started digging further... what a rabbit hole.
Italy's premier parody power metal band! I saw them live a week after seeing Sabaton and Babymetal, quite a contrast (particularly in terms of budget and venue size) but all three were very theatrical and entertaining. They were originally just NanowaR, but after Rhapsody had to add "of Fire" they decided to do something similar. I was chuckling during your intro, knowing what was coming. You mentioned Steel Panther - they did a song featuring Michael Starr called _Uranus,_ with pretty much the tone you would expect. Come Christmastime, please react to _Valhalleluja,_ which is one of my faves (a couple of others probably won't make sense to you yet).
They straight up laughed in Rhapsody's face with their name change; they literally took their logo, opened it in MS Paint, quickly scribbled "of steel" below it and called it a day.
LoL you were talking about Rhapsody and them adding "of fire". Originally Nanowar were called just Nanowar (based off of the more serious power metal band Manowar) and when Rhapsody became Rhapsody of fire, Nanowar sorta took the piss at them by renaming themselves to Nanowar of Steel.
From one of NanowaR of Steel's video blurbs "Great literature has always been a source of inspiration for heavy metal bands. J.R.R. Tolkien for Blind Guardian, H.P. Lovecraft for Cradle of Filth, The Holy Bible for Stryper and now The IKEA Catalog for Nanowar Of Steel. " Does that help you understand this Italian band?
Yea, these guys made a career of making fun of metal that takes itself too seriously. They literally got an album called "Dislike to False Metal", and once released a track called Disco Metal that's just straight-up Eurobeat and not metal at all, just to piss off purists.
Maybe you'll be intrigued by this unusual tribute/parody of Iron Maiden works made by Nanowar of Steel: "Afraid to Shoot into the Eyes of a Stranger in a Strange Land" ruclips.net/video/CPeWnZB1J6I/видео.html ... or a Sabaton like "pasadena 1994" ruclips.net/video/39CyUAnKUso/видео.html&pp=ygUNcGFzYWRlbmEgMTk5NA%3D%3D how about their masterpiece, a gospel metal ode to Odin? ruclips.net/video/S9WWz95ripA/видео.html
People often dismiss parodies like this, but they are actually very difficult, and they can play. Their lyrics are also incredibly clever and often use puns across several languages. You will get a kick out of Norwegian Reggaeton.
@@EricMcLuen you know, it now occurs to me that I was so blind sided by the humour that I don’t think I really discussed the musicianship. The song is a banger!
Hello. Did I hear you like Rhapsody (before "of fire"ed) ? Then you absolutely MUST jump on "Barbie MILF princess of the twilight" from Nanowar (after they "of steel"ed) I looped "Emerald sword" when I was a teenager, and "Barbie..." brings back good memories of these days (plus a shitload of jokes). It is my favorite Nanowar song if you ignore the lyrics, just for the sound, and my 2nd fav after Valhalleluja overall

Love them! My favorite is Valhalleluja

talking about rhapsody of fire, you may try to listen :"barbie, milf princess of the twilight"... trust me 😉
That was a good reaction! You should definitely check Valhalleluja and Norwegian Reaggeton from Nanowar.

Please go into Nanowar rabbithole. They are great musicians and absolutely genius songwriters.
That was fun. 😄
Nanowar of steel (Italy)
Yeah. That makes more sense actually now that I think about it. Their accent didn’t seem all that German. 😆

I think the best thing is the help desk girl. A totally normal girl that works there just as everything is normal. "Pay or die"

@PrymalChaos There is also an Iron Maiden tribute (?) that is an amalgamation of lyrics and music from about 20 songs that is just brilliant.
@@PrymalChaos Yea, it's easy to get lost in the humour, but these guys are also musically really really good.
Bamboozled 🤣
You mentioned Electric Callboy and I know you've done Babymetal. Have you checked out RATATATA? They did a collab and it's awesome
Oh and if you want to get bamboozled by Electric Callboy, check out Hurrikan.
