Dimash has said that he would like to teach, when his stage career is over. He should know as much as he can about music. Also, he is a genius. I think he loves lots of styles of music, and would get bored if he only sang one style. He wrote the music for this song.

    Dimash is a genius!
A great storyteller and paradigm breaker!
Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality...
Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is:
A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures.
Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing...
The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details.
As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone!
The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb!
The music is a show in itself: a mix of Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Captivating variations: a bridge to the chorus full of strength and seduction and a beautiful chorus inspired by classic rock and dexterity and Dimash's agility! In addition to the well-placed guitar solo performed by Abik Jeksen!
The video captures and captivates from the beginning to the sign, which we let pass while still mesmerized by the “spell” of the vampire who can break the fourth wall!
A giant, masterful, modern work that makes you want to watch it several times!
    1000 out of 10!
    Hugs from a Brazilian!

As the MV begins you hear 'The Flower Duet' from the opera 'Lacmé' by Delibes which was composed in 1881 and premiered in Paris in 1883. The ride is a Rolls Royce.. perhaps 1970's vintage.
I say.. "You are the best thing to happen" Count Dimash, "You make it all worth it baby!"
Most everyone agrees this is one of Dimash's greatest performances.. with a song that rocks Transylvania to its very core with a flare of contemporary Dimash to digest.. and a taste of vocals to die for!
Yes.. everyone focuses on his singing.. the notes.. the technique.. the visuals.. yea! They're great! BUT IS THERE A MESSAGE?!
THERE SURE IS! (The following is an opinion of Pete Smith) Dimash's mastery of symbolism is no secret and here.. he poses as a vampire.. representing society as having become dead and losing its emotions and feelings.. and longing for some one, something, to raise him back to mortality. And so he might find a 'girl', who could represent anything in our society, like LOVE, kindness and a sense of belonging.. to bring him back to life.. back to who he really was and who he could be now. And btw.. he does not bite the interviewer.. she is his gateway to heaven (whatever she might represent).. and she will be watching every little step that he takes…. do you get the message?
There is a reason Dimash chose to sing these lyrics! They are very specific! Read every line that he sings very carefully.. right from the beginning.. as if you were society yourself singing... and you will discover the true meaning!
Hey society.. are you feeling alone?
Are you making your way down south to the river of life.. with chains all around you? Have you been lost for an eternity.. looking for freedom?
You're not gonna lie.. it hurts this time.. because you're feeling alone on that side.. you'll come back to life when you've got something to LIVE for.
You never knew in your life there was salvation!
And when you find it.. it will be your gateway to heaven.
But take heed my society friend.. 'she' will be watching every little step that you take!

👉 Dimash does it again and again. He surprises us every time. I love his versatility and creativity, his wonderful voice. It doesn't fit into any box and I love that. It never gets boring.
I like the moment in the video when he smiles sensually cheeky at us, his dears, as if to say: 'Look at me and scream and rage.' I'm going to seduce this pretty blonde now... because I can! '
The two voices that come out of the scratchy gramophone are the original recordings of the LAKME flower duet from 1915 with two Russian sopranos (Maria Mikhailova (1864-1943) (soprano, interpreting Lakmé) and Antonina Panina (1870-1941) (mezzo-soprano, interpreting Mallika) - ruclips.net/video/91h-O_80Zq8/видео.html
In the Dimash News it is written:
On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon. (Dimash News)
    * The new video for the song “When I’ve got you” has gained more than 600 thousand views in a few days. Dimash said: “It is impossible to convey the emotions at the moment when you perform a new composition for the first time with words. I can probably only be understood by artists or composers, I can’t explain it in words right now. When I see the feedback, that’s probably the moment when I become one of the happiest people in the world. Because everything I do is only to please my audience”.
Dimash Kudaibergen. Press conference 26.02.24, Istanbul, Turkiye.

Dimash used that edgy Rock voice back in 2017 when he did "Go Go Power Rangers" theme song so not very new.
    Happy to see you back.❤️👍
Much empathy as I am still struggling to recover from burnout myself.🙄
Sadly I cannot afford to take time off for myself.
Anyway, great reaction to this wonderful song.
His newest music video "Smoke" has an interesting twist too.😂
    🥰🥰Greetings from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

Okay, so very weird thing. I had JUST this evening was going to send you a note saying "HEY, WHERE ARE YOU?" because you popped into my head and I hadn't seen your reactions in a very long time, and THEN, THERE you were!!! I am so GLAD that you are back! I love your reactions. PLEASE don't stay away too much longer with Dimash. The next one to blow your mind? EL AMOR EN TI. You will so be amazed at what he accomplished at that Almaty concert, which was INCREDIBLE. Please react to that one next? Plus, GREAT guitar playing! ruclips.net/video/L7PML9UcKwE/видео.html Bought you a coffee! You deserved it! 🤩

Maybe all of us Dimash fans are connected on some top secret spiritual level, and you sensed that I had something in the works. 😂

I really missed your reactions! Glad you decided to react to Dimash even though you don’t have much time. And it was worth it. I really enjoyed your comment!❤ Every song of his is different somehow from all that came before. 😉 Try Smoke next and he‘ll surprise you again. 😊
This song is kinda delicious with many different textures that remind me of so many different styles.
He studied jazz as well, so maybe that’s why this reminds you of scatting. 😊
And I finally figured out what this underlying rhythm reminds me of:
Muddy Waters: Mannish boy. This was driving me crazy 😅😂

Have you listened to Hua Chenyu (pronounced “Watchin’ you”) yet? He is a unique and musical genius in how he write, rearranges and performs songs! Of course, there is no one of Dimash’s vocal universe but HuaHua is exciting to see and listen to as well! Nunchucks, Jacksaw Boy (Singer 2018), Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Gimmer, Nanping Evening Bells, Seven Personalities live performance (patchwork brown coat), Madhouse Perffirmed with black and white outfit) and Us (Singer 2020). This will give you a quick view of just how brilliant and unique HuaHua is! Dimash fans are Dears while HuaHua fans are Martians. Blessings on your channel and enjoy the journey! Aloha from Hawaii!

I'd suggest "Smoke" next. There is a "performance video" version with just dancing, and he has an official MV for it that is like a mini movie. (Like always) He mixes pop with operatic tones. (In the thumbnail he has on a pink suit, the performance video has him in red with dancers)
