What a happy machine ! OM617 looks very suited. If you need more capability off road than this then it probably isn't driveable!

Does the sound insulation around the floor boards work or can you use something like noise canceling headphones ? The newer mogs are alot quieter but they cost too much .

@@eiccaw on that video its Michelin XML 395\85\20, but i used them once, because her are extremely heavy for 404, so Trelleborgs much more better.
Do you use these wheels? Because in other videos I can only see the V-thread agricultural tires being used :)
I'm thinking of XML's of the same size as these, as a replacement for 12.5 tires on stock rims. If you can share some first hand information on these, I would appreciate it :)

Are they any good for a diesel 404? Could it push such a large diameter? Any trimming or cabin lift? Stock rims or wider(if so, how wide)?

Hi. The only good thing with that wheels is as it looks cool. But they are very, extremely heavy. They are for 20 tons mogs, and they need about 4 tons preasure on each, but my mog weighs only 3.5 tons, so they are extremely hard and firm on the road. And if u ride on gravel road it seems that your spine is going to crumble. And also they reduces speed of course. I ride stock rims and no lift, but it was scrapping arcs sometimes.

Хороший трактор. Уже не первый раз сталкиваюсь с тем, что владельцы Унимогов их в итоге продают. Мне не понятна причина. Почему???
Как любая игрушка, наигрался, довел до ума, хочу новый проект, хочется других новых эмоций.
В итоге, всё продают рано или поздно) В нашем клубе есть Унимог почти ветеран - с 2010 года ездит.

diesel was the only way. number u mean 404?
No, sorry. I mean the chassis-number. (It's on the frame to be seen behind the right front wheel.) I ask because your Unimog is one of the very early ones from 1955 or 56. Since that, it should be a sacrilege to make such changes. I have one from late 1955 in original condition.

@@suxelik I can't believe that. Because only 1955 and 1956 ones hat the short wheel-base. And yours has the short wheel-base. And your front-mask ist a very early one.
Do you know where your Unimog is from and how it looked originally. Maybe it's one of the expedition types.
