    I get the impression that Grant was genuinely angry in this video.

    The sick podcast recrutes is a great show! So disappointed about the loss because we had players to win gold which were ignored, some not even invited, what a waste of an opportunity. They have to FIRE that management team, because they have no excuses. Thx for the video.

    I noticed on the Canada Roster that there were no NCAA players. Am I correct? Do you think they choose this team picking the kids outside the NCAA because of the open boarders coming?

    Thank you both of you for being so great, entertaining, cozy, competent, passionate and bringing the interests of recrutes to another level! You guys have one of the best podcasts on hockey! We are lucky to have you and I wish you will keep it on for long… Have a nice new and healthy year! 😉☺🤩

    Michael Hage has 11 goals 9 assists 20 points in 16 games as an NCAA freshman at 18 years old playing against MEN. I wonder how he would fair against 17,18,19 year olds. Hmm...6'1" 190lbs. Oh, and he's not playing with a Celebrini, Hagens, Perreault, Leonard, etc. Alone at the top of his team.
    Next year he better be on the team with all the others that should have also been and should be (this draft class).
    2026 It's GOLD or we riot. 😡

    The loss this early is pretty surprinsing. Even if it's not the best team we could have fielded. Loosing this early is disgracefull for everyone involveld, from the selection comitee, to the coach and the players.

    Canada's 3rd line was McKenna-Catton-Pinelli until that 3rd period. Nedeau, Ritchie, Cowen, Yager and Howe were top 6 all tournament. Imagine if they brought Wood, Hage, Sennecke, and Cristall over Pinelli, Gauthier, Beaudoin and Howe. All except Cristall are 6ft to 6'4 and better offensively.

    Canada is still the best hockey nation... We simply didn't ice the best players. Some players, it isn't our fault (i.e. Bedard, Celebrini, Benson), but to avoid players like Senecke, Yakemchuk and Perekh is simply insane. Losing Schaeffer didn't help either.

    its so frustrating how Hockey Canada is acting!!!! Why was the best team not taken? Enough of this corruption!!! CHL GMs and powerful, connected to NHL scouts getting "their guy" named to the team when a kid on his merit,skill&play is left off....

  • @scottm9010
    @scottm9010 4 дня назад

    “Well, we want the nicest guys”, great quote from Grant! This is a disease that’s infecting Canadian minor hockey right now! The most skilled, competitive, ‘hate to lose’, type A personalities, are being left off of rosters all over Ontario and probably the rest of the country in favour of some woke vision. They’re awarding coaching positions to soft, woke parents, who follow the same principles as their kids nursery schools, who have never been in the trenches , who haven’t a clue what it takes to compete, and that’s the type of players they select. Hating to lose, and taking the game seriously is now toxic. Get used to losing Canada. Because losing isn’t acceptable in the USA and the best European nations.

    did they over value what McKenna and Martone would be able to bring?

    • @bradleyhenry2411
      @bradleyhenry2411 5 дней назад

      McKenna played 3rd line with Catton and Pinelli. Martone got scratched for 2 games and didn't get a single minute with his Oshawa linemate Rehkopf. This team was severely mis-coached.

    I need the ppl who made the call for the players on the team, they need to be put in the forefront and held accountable idgaf, most ppl who watch hockey were confused from the start, this isnt revisionist history, it never made sense...

    Sounds like the players left off this team could form the nucleus of a second Canadian team that could blow the WJC team out of the water. This is a management and coaching failure all the way.

    Did you see the third period, Canada totally dominated the third period. If Canada had played like that for the entire tournament that might of of won gold. I agree better players would have helped but my guess is the coach maybe the problem.

  • @floydrideout318

    Why did they pick so many smaller players. They could have had bigger players.

  • @galkanftw
    @galkanftw 4 дня назад

    We should look at the OBVIOUS people were talking about the selections BEFORE the tournament started so it isn't like sour grapes or anything.
    Geesh I said in the draft that is MTL couldn't get Demidov I would be ok with another defenseman if it was Parehk and he wasn't even on the WJC team lol and I had him top 5 in the draft.
    Having watched th games it was VERY noticeable to me the team had no QB from the points our D actually looked awful the worst D I have ever seen and I been watching the WJC since they began.Aside from the awful defense that seemed afraid to pinch in the forwards were not much better there wa Cowan who could often get you the puck into the zone and setup the first man but after that there was nothing.
    It was like watching the Habs play nobody was shooting I was losing it watching them make stupid pass after stupid pass.A big peeve of mine is that long stretch pass to ONE guy my lord they couldn't mount any opffense as a group how the hell did they think one guy alone was going to break past usually 3 defenders ir wasn't like one guy 1 on 1 they were throwing it into a mess with zero chance of success.

    I can't understand why Andrew Cristall did not make this team, 2nd in points in the western hockey league he is a threat every time he is on the ice. Do we not like offense anymore! Hockey Canada is a joke!

    • @bwest-s1w
      @bwest-s1w 4 дня назад

      Second in points only because he missed several games. On a ppg basis he is top in the country... over the past 1.5 years and it's not close. Over that span he is nearly at 2 ppg. Team Canada had difficulty scoring.

  • @galkanftw
    @galkanftw 4 дня назад

    Oh I forgot to mention the shots that actually did make it to the net holy smokes does anyone AIM their shots anymore everything was right into the goalies chest or pads and there was ALWAYS 2 feet upstairs to shoot at.There were also way too many shots that completely missed the net some weren't even close which tells me they had their head down far too often but having said that when I was a youngster I could hit the top of the net no problem with my eyes closed anywhere within 20 feet.
    The SETUP right away one guy in each corner WTF.....get to the net you idiots your not scoring from the corner just tons and tons of stupidity VERY low hockey IQ.

    Unfathomable. HC should hold a press conference to explain their entire thought process on each roster pick and snub. Things that will not happen...🥱😴
