I have tried to watch other Japan videos and they just don't hold a candle to yours. I love how you take the time to give us the time of the sailing, Google Maps and explain what you are eating. I am getting more familiar with the food and always try to guess how many bowls of rice you will eat. I get sad when a restaurant gives you such a small bowl but happy when they give you refills.
Thanks for showing the longshoremen at work. Their job is dangerous but essential. Thank you for posting videos of your travels through the year. It brings me joy and relaxation to travel with you around beautiful Japan. Happiness and peace to all this holiday season.
I like the style of this guy of making travel videos with easy to read English subtitles. It's like an unintentional ASMR because it is really relaxing and entertaining to watch at the comfort of my bed. I feel like I'm travelling using a VR. 😅
I feel that way too. I find his videos very relaxing - has been helping me sleep lately. Plus it feels like I’m travelling, miss that since covid came along!
My favourite is the food, I like to seeing all the interesting dishes. “I think I’ll eat small”….Solo eats his entire breakfast then pans out to show another yogurt and a beef curry! hahaha!
Looks really nice. I'm just happy there wasn't a theme song playing over and over again ... I still hear it in my head "sunflower"... "sunflower".... lol
I love to see what meals you eat. LOL "i don't know what these are." Glad to see people traveling again. Empty ferries are not as much fun. The beds look fine when its not full, but what if there were snorers? I prefer private rooms. But thanks for sharing what these units look like.
I wonder about folks who snore too! My father, bless his heart, snores louder than a freight train and ear plugs are no match for it. I would feel very sad for someone stuck in a capsule room with someone who snores that badly.
I snore pretty loudly and would have to book a private cabin out of respect for other passengers. Not trying to make all my fellow passengers hate me. Haha
This is the first time I saw so many people on a ferry...Glad to see that this is a popular mode of transport, as it should be, after all. I've watched quite a few travel vlogs & other contents from Japanese & Korean channels; & one thing I always find is that the vloggers never disclose the identity of strangers. They'll either stop videoing or adjust the angle so that strangers are unrecognizable. I love this simple, yet powerful, show of courtesy. Thank you for your culture of respect & understanding. 🙏
When you said it's next to Sunflower Terminal... I remembered the "Sunflower Sunflower" Song. Will most likely dream of it tonight 😉 But thanks for sharing the video :) I always enjoy watching.
When I see Solo Travel-san said that he'll eat small for breakfast, my first thought was "I'm certain he'll still eat BIG" and I was right!😂 Thank you for another enjoyable and calming video!
I'm not surprised the ferry had so many passengers, new stuff attracts lots of interest after all!! It looked really great too. I made curry rice for lunch today, but that one with cheese looked particularly good, maybe I'll try making that one next time I make curry. Thanks for taking us on this ride with you!
Thanks for showing us the leaflet with the public baths at 11:10. I always wondered how they were able to have such big containers of water and slippery surfaces on a moving vessel. I can’t imagine how precarious taking a bath in them must be during rough seas. Pretty eye-opening, thanks for sharing!👍
This ferry seemed really nice. The only thing I didn't like was that they charged you for lockers. Even with a capsule, they should provide a secure place for SOME luggage. You had no complaints about the food, so that's also good. We trust you on that. ;)
It doesn't really need to be secure. Japan's crime rate is really low and conviction rate is close to 100%, and you're on a ship with cctv, if you wake up and find your bag missing it'll likely be found before the passengers are allowed to depart.
@@dumbbellenjoyer Then why do they need lockers at all? "low" and nonexistent are two different things, and I'd rather be able to secure any valuables and not count on them "likely" being found. All of the other ferries had free lockers, some right under the bed.
What a beautiful view of the city! I love taking trips with you “in spirit “ - I get to see places I know I will never get to - thank you for sharing your wonderful videos 👍😊💕
Oh this is from only a few days ago! Very new. Good to see more people are traveling with the improved situation in Japan. The buffet for 1k and 500 is really a good deal. I like how you showed curry rice at the end without mentioning it!
When you mentioned the observatory was at/near the Sunflower ferries, I thought for sure you were going to mention their song and that it got stuck in your head again! :-D
I think this is the most crowded from all of your previous videos so far, that you had to go back and return later for your dinner. I think it's also a good sign that life's getting back on its feet in Japan. As always, wishing everyone stay safe.
I'm absolutely in love with tour videos. With so many months with the covid risk and the limitations for travelling, they are the best if you're feeling a bit lonely and miss japan. Thanks deeply and have a fantastic new year!
Excellent travel media production as always. I love the background sounds of kids squealing and calling out to their moms. Really nice to have family travel. 💕🐰🐶🦔🐷
Hurray! New episode of Solo Travel, new ferry, new capsule bed... It's all coming together! Could you see the hotel you stayed at in the previous video from the tower? The fried things on your plate the first time? Were they kind of grainy? With veggie bits in them? They might have been Hush Puppies, which are corn meal, some veggie bits, wetted long enough to get the corn meal to stick together, and friend... The rattling might have been new ship noises, where things like screws and tie bits haven't found an easy resting point. Or it might've been the hangers above the bed...?
I am so used to your videos of ferries that seem almost empty that seeing queues and crowds appears strange. 😅 (I could never stay in a capsule cabin, I snore too much.)
I think it was almost fully booked because of the weekend. And domestic travel is getting better in Japan, due to lower numbers of infections of Covid-19. Fortunately, there is still no case of the Omicron-variant in Japan. Whereas in Europe it is getting worse.
I have just found your channel, but have been binge watching since Friday.😍 I just love the scenery, food and little tidbits of information about ⛴ . I’ll probably never get to Japan 🇯🇵, but I can live vicariously through you.😘 Thank you for sharing these amazing memories with us. BORAHAE 💜✌🏼
I've seen some claustrophobic coffin-sized capsules before, but these ones were surprisingly roomy and nice! The layout of them reminded me of a high school dormitory which is pretty cozy imo.
Ahhh, we saw that last breakfast shot, Solo-san! ;) This looks like a really nice ship. And the food looked really quite appetizing; I found myself wanting to try some of it, especially those mochi. They looked very interesting.
What a beautiful ferry! The new capsule is more private - it's well designed. The food looked amazing:) the sunrise was unexpected! 🌅 what a sweet treat to end your journey on
Wow! A brand new ferry. How wonderful! Sorry you had to deal with all the rattling. I look forward to seeing the other rooms! And the food looked delicious! Thank you for bringing us along and Merry Christmas 🎄
Your videos is absolutely amazing, and it feels like we're the ones who's traveling, but I would like to ask you to show us just a normal day in japan, just walking in the streets and such things, we would like to live such experiences, and you are good in delivering that in your way. After all, we're happy with anything you post, thank you!!!
The open deck looks so new and shiny, thankyou for sharing it with us eventhough it was cold out there! The little travelling bear with his tiny suitcase was so cute! Merry Christmas!
It's so rare to see one of these videos where there's so many passengers! I bet many of them were ship otakus checking out the brand new ferry, lol. The boat looks so spotless and pristine!

Great video , as always I enjoyed the ferry trip and the capsule experience even if it was a little bit noisy it looked like so cosy , every time i watched your videos i can't wait for the meals, was a great view of Osaka city at the observatory, take care and thanks a lot
Breakfast: I think I'll eat small, lol! More than I'd eat for a big main meal. Good for you! Thanks for another fantastic video and have a happy festive season 🤗
ive been watching your channel for awhile now and im so glad its getting so popular! cant wait for the day it gets to 1 Million! i remember finding your channel by accident and got hooked right away.

Was this the maiden voyage of “Kyoto”? Quite nice. The capsule bed looked comfortable. Priced well for the length of voyage and accommodations. Merry Christmas to you too, Mr. Solo. May the force be with you.
i've started watching your videos when the places you go / stay or the transport you take have always been quiet. barely any people. i've always wondered how you'd do your filming once the crowds started showing up. i like how you respect people enough to not show their faces while you do your filming. keep up the great work!
Another beautiful city view! 🤩 And the Grilled Cheese Curry Rice looks so delicious but you can keep the deep fried fish all to yourself. I could eat the fish cakes but not the little fish looking fish. 😆 Thank you for another super fun trip! 💖
Sad no one was waving this ship off, but it was cool how they lifted the lines. Always thought you ate your dishes from upper right and downward, this video you proved me wrong. You have also notified me that I need to have my good noise canceling headphones when I travel. Noise sensitivity autistic person here. I guess if I wanted to travel these ferries, I would have to give up my lower carb diet to try some of these, especially that cheese curry rice, that looks so yummy.
👍🏼 I would be happy to take this trip! It's a great vessel, and it's always especially interesting when you travel to the Kanmon Strait area! Thank you! 😎✌🏼
Thank you for sharing this wonderful trip. When my daughter and I visited Japan in 2016 we spent our last few days in Osaka. On the last day we caught a train to the harbour and I realise I took a photo of that building with the observation deck you were in at the start of this video. We did enjoy seeing the many ships pass by in this busy harbour.
I like the capsule setup ..the opening at body lengthwise it doesnt look claustrophobic compared to others in most cities. This capsules are cozy and airy.
