      @k.h.a.l.i.l. 2 года назад +6

      everything we do in the dark does not come to the light. God is gracious and covers a lot of our mess actually. "exposing" is more of a human construct than a divine one. short of sexual abuse, there's almost nothing my parents could have done that would make me want to expose/embarass them on a public platform. ppl asked my dad to run for mayor and he was an awful / absent father and i still wouldnt do that. this is a weird generation. i'm sure kirk's son has valid hurts. kids out of wedlock often face rejection when their parent marries and has kids with someone else, especially when the kid doesn't live with the other siblings. and we all know kirk was probably immature as a young father. at the same time, the son's mom has chimed in to say the son is straight tripping and that he's been more than supported. so, i don't think this is about what's done in the dark coming to light. parenting is just not public behavior and the son chose to be foolish.

    Great interview. I rarely hear any interviews of him but this was quick to the point and engaging. I like sims off his music but not a fanatic. Some people seem to think that being a Christian means you automatically become perfect in everything you do and that’s not how it works at all. It’s about a relationship with God through Christ and STRIVING TOWARDS perfection knowing that you’ll never be perfect because no one is and God still loves you regardless. People have to get a grip and stop using their past to justify their judgment of others.

    Kirk Franklin is still extremely self-absorbed. Nobody is giving his son a pass. And although his son may have been wrong and out of line does not mean that he didn’t have a valid point in showing that there are some issues with his dad. Often times when children can’t talk to their parents of course they go talk about their parents. Although it may not be true in all cases in most cases rebellious troubled child doesn’t fall too far from the tree. And some parents are stubborn and unforgiving and unable to look at themselves. Rather it’s easier to blame the child for every fault. This is what I see with Kurt Franklin. A man that does not know humility. A man that refuses to humble himself and repent. A man that is never introspective and never looks at the error of his ways. Instead a man that will point out everybody else’s fault but his own.

Neither a husband leave a wife, or, vice versa, "with no teeth in my mouth." There is NO justification for nor any situation in which domestic violence is right.

      @@aurepaschale7692 Well those of us that were raised old school understand what that means. I am the better for being taught that way. Look at the young people today. Killing each other, promicuous, dressing provocatively...due to the lack of fear of repercussions. I raised 2 sons who towered over me in their teens. They are respectful to this day because I let them know that I would not tolerate any disrespect, by any means necessary. It's easy to "judge" someone by 1 comment, but difficult to look in the mirror 🪞 and see our own short comings....try it.

    • @aurepaschale7692
      @aurepaschale7692 2 года назад

      @@shoogasweet5847 Wow. You just spoiled your entire point with your last paragraph. I'm not going to respond in kind and attack you personally, though the fact that you took a legitimate concern expressed over a description, over a choice of words (as always specifically placed in quotation marks in my earlier comment; AND, which comment was NOT a reply to you) SO personally, says quite a lot. But I won't go there. Just, maybe you need to take your own advice?
      The Bible says: "Spare the rod and spoil the child." I am all for it. When necessary. The tongue is great not only in teaching, in coaching, but also in whipping. Into shape. (NOT verbal abuse.) There may, however, be occasions when the physical "rod", within reason, may be necessary. Nowhere in my comment did I advocate against discipline or physical punishment. Within reason. For me that would be a spanking, with my hand, or, a maximum of three strokes of the "rod" on each hand; or, kneeling for a period of time; or, writing out lines over and over and over. I would not want hit any child on the face, even in a slap. (I don't like even adults slapping each other.) All these are, of course, apart from extra chores, grounding, depriving of tv, computer, play time, outings, etc. This is discipline. This is "the rod." NOT leaving your own flesh and blood, your own child (or, anyone; even professional boxing has RULES!) with "no teeth left in my mouth." That is assault; that is battery; that is abuse; that is domestic violence. That is a CRIME. By the laws of GOD and by the laws of man. No one, not one of us, created a human being. Not even the children we sired from our loins or carried in our wombs. We created no one and own no one. GOD's law decrees, however, that even a slave must be not just compensated but even set free for the loss of a tooth. By violence. A tooth. ONE TOOTH. A SLAVE. Exodus 21: 27. If GOD says that about "a TOOTH", what can we imagine HE has to say about "no TEETH left"? If GOD says that about slaves, what can we thus imagine HIS judgement is concerning children? The Bible declares that "Children are the heritage of the LORD." I think most anyone likes to know and would one day call for an accounting of their inheritance; and/or the inheritance they left to someone. Most everyone wants their heritage preserved and treated with respect.
      I ignore and pass over your last paragraph in your comment and commend your values re respect to elders, promiscuity, promiscuous dressing, etc, etc. "For whom the father loveth, He chasteneth."
      Following is the note I am leaving things on:
      "Preach the word. Be prepared in and out of season. Correct, rebuke, and encourage - with great patience be and careful instruction." 2 Timothy 4: 2

I have alarm phone alarm of times I pray for them. No matter what am doing... 2 lines prayers. THE LORD is faithful. Yes, Kirk cover your children...same here...💜🇬🇧

    We found out that he was a human being making mistakes and fixing them as we live to try to do better. That's love, not exposing you child and keeping them protected. If we talk about our mistakes and flaws all the time who would know the good of people, we live to walk this earth and deserve to be treated as such but make no mistakes about as laying down and not getting up,we over here are survivor of the universe. 🤔✔️ It's a possibility to share when ready meaning that when you are at a good place it's possible you can help to learn and see how living should be, thanks for sharing and I'm happy marriage work.

    No ones gonna talk about how his son accused him of being his molester? Yes people, there are sick parents who do this to their children. Instead of saying his son wants attention maybe let’s be more supportive to people who are sexually abused and victims of assault. This is why many victims don’t report abuse or come out because of people who say they are lying and doing it for attention. Just because he’s a celebrity gospel singer doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of being a molester.
