- Death comes for everyone.
Watch the brand-new trailer for #AHauntingInVenice, only in theaters September 15.
The unsettling supernatural thriller based upon the novel “Hallowe’en Party” by Agatha Christie and directed by and starring Oscar® winner Kenneth Branagh as famed detective Hercule Poirot, will open in theaters nationwide September 15, 2023.
“A Haunting in Venice” is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve, “A Haunting in Venice” is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.
Reuniting the team of filmmakers behind 2017’s “Murder on the Orient Express” and 2022’s “Death on the Nile,” the film is directed by Kenneth Branagh with a screenplay by Oscar® nominee Michael Green (“Logan”) based upon Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party. The producers are Kenneth Branagh, Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg, with Louise Killin, James Prichard, and Mark Gordon serving as executive producers. A brilliant acting ensemble portrays a cast of unforgettable characters, including Kenneth Branagh, Kyle Allen (“Rosaline”), Camille Cottin (“Call My Agent”), Jamie Dornan (“Belfast”), Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), Jude Hill (“Belfast”), Ali Khan (“6 Underground”), Emma Laird (“Mayor of Kingstown”), Kelly Reilly (“Yellowstone”), Riccardo Scamarcio (“Caravaggio’s Shadow”), and recent Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”).
It probably won't be a full on horror movie, but the mere presence of those semi-horror elements makes this one of the most unusual but also interesting ideas I've seen this year. I'm curious how well it'll do after release.
I feel like this is going to go the Sherlock Holmes route with RD Junior, where there was a Satanic cult leader who pretend he was using magic when in actuality it was just scientific tricks….
I’m sending a similar route
Poirot draws heavy influence from Sherlock Holmes, it could only ever have been something along those lines
I can't stop thinking Tina Fey as Lemon lol
@@wyntonmcallister3234 its actually adapting Agatha Christie! She's famous for these types of 'Who did it' type stories.
@@wyntonmcallister3234which Sherlock Holmes tale is this anyway?
The first two movies were superb but this, this was something else. The cinematography, the performance of Poirot, everything. It is one of the most unique and creative Agatha Christie adaptations I've ever seen. Please do not stop making them, I'll watch each and every one.
What’s the first 2 movie?
What are the first two ??

It's heartening to see that Michelle Yeoh is finally getting the recognition she deserves and getting offered more diverse roles than the usual Asian archetypes.
Yes great to see the Malaysian Oscar-Winning Actress Michelle Yeoh
Sadly shes the one who gets murdered at the start of the movie so not much diversity in that practically all white cast
@@noyesyesno8277yeah how sad for you that a movie that takes place in early 20th century Venice isn't filled with shanequas and deshawns...
@emiami458 how sad for you that you're so hateful and racist. They're talking about an Asian actor btw, your pathetic comment towards 'black' names is moot.
@@emiami458that demonic hatred in your heart is going to eat you alive. They were talking about the lovely Michelle Yeoh but you had to take a shot at Black people.
I hope they don’t stop making these movies. I’ll watch every single one of them.
Me too! I love murder mystery genre films. I just wish there was more of a WOW FACTOR during the 3rd act reveal. What book do you think they'll do next? Whataya think about my Haunting in Venice drawings on my channel? Lemme know.

Wut???
I LOVE that they're taking a different spin on this third one. the cinematography looks stunning. and for someone who's usually too scared to watch actual horror movies, this one looks just palatable enough for me to handle. can't wait.
Did you see it? Was it too scary? I don't handle horror movies at all, but I love a good mystery!
@@tiffanywilliams8589just watched it, there were one or two scenes I did find a bit intense and a few jumpscares. There was an overall feeling of unease but I wouldn’t say the movie as a whole was too scary. I recommend!

Bruh they need to market this movie better. The only reason I knew it existed was because I saw a poster of it on my at out of the theater. I wouldn’t have guessed it was a sequel if I hadn’t seen his distance appearance either. I’m excited as hell for this movie though
Then we better promote it our selves as hell. I love these movies
this might be the one with the quality they wanted to achieve since the first one…a unique take on a poirot story, well done Kenneth, love that that man doesn’t give up
This is definitely different then each of the previous films. But I can’t wait to see Hercule solve this one.
There are other films??!!
@@OceanIgs is that a joke.
@@OceanIgs there is two other films, but they are more of a murder mystery, not a horror story.
There are far more than just two other films.
One of my favorite is Witness for the Prosecution Poirot isn't in that one but if you like black and white movies it is one of the best.
The 1974 version of Murder on the Orient is also quite good. There are around 50 films in total. The first from 1928 so almost 100 years ago.
This is the 4th movie since 2017 remake of Murder on the Orient Express, Crooked House was also released in 2017. Last year 2022, a remake of Murder on the Nile was released and now one of Poirots last detective stories Halloween Party has been released right before Halloween.
@@bethanywright1756 yea ok. I meant with Kenneth as Hercule.
If Michelle Yeoh is in it, it's automatically the best movie of the year
Yes glad to see the Malaysian Actress Legend Michelle Yeoh
Just a small role. She gets murdered at the start
@@noyesyesno8277 stop spreading misinformation you are reported.
Hercule is up for a new challenge that will test his resolve, beliefs, and sanity. However, he has one thing going for him. Only the living would kill someone to cover something up.
I’m simply going to see this just because Tina Fey is in this! Love Her! The entire cast is amazing but I love her and to see her take on a role like this excites me. She looks amazing!
Has she ever been in a thriller?
Your not black you don't deserve to watch her movies!
So very excited for this! I hope they make 10 Poirot movies. They are true cinematic masterpieces!! I don’t understand why it’s not more popular!
Because some people prefer the older Adaptations of these Books/ Movies. Personally i like the new ones too and wish they make more of them
@@Aldiraider Perhaps they prefer more FAITHFUL adaptations. This really shouldn't even use Agatha Christie's name, it's such a mishmash. Kenneth Branagh should be ashamed of what he's done to the legacy of Agatha Christie and one of her greatest characters, Hercule Poirot.
Now this is unique and original. I love when a story has a genre switch. The first 2 movies were good, but this one looks amazing.
hello, which ones are the first 2 movies please?
That little boy in this movie deserves an Oscar for supporting actor . He acted so well👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
Yes! Another Agatha Christie movie with Hercule Poirot and another fantastic cast. Can’t wait to see it. ❤
I saw this trailer in an IMAX theater and it was so loud, it sent chills down my spine.
A Haunting in Venice wasn’t really what I was expecting, but it kept me interested throughout most of it with it’s interesting shots, all-star cast, and a Knives Out style story.
I cannot express how much I love Branagh’s work. I cannot wait!❤❤❤
Tina Fey screaming in 1:05 this is really different from all her works and I love that for her.
I genuinely believe that all Agatha Christie books should be adapted, especially the Hercule Poirot ones. This looks awesome, CANNOT WAIT!
All of the Hercules Poirot books have been adapted including the short stories all starring David Suchet.
@@carlmelton2126 oh I did not know that, thank you

Saw this today. Can confirm it was excellent. The best of the three Brannaugh films for Poirot!
Just watched it ..amazing plot with the little horror touch took the movie to the next level...I like how the direction and storytelling was straight, no boring, and especially sound effects was top notch..a satisfying, thrilling horror movie to watch . And of course Sir Kenneth Branagh 👏🏽a brilliant piece of acting from him ....

I'm glad that Tina Fey landed this role, she was beyond great in WTF!
Is that the detective from the Orient Express?
HERCULE POIROT IS BACK FOR THE THIRD TIME❤️🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow, bold genre change for Kenneth Branagh, definitely will check it out.
This is supposedly an adaptation of Halloween Party, but I dont see any resemblance to that story.
So excited for a third mysterious, detective thriller. Love that Poirut is picking up and hope they don't stop from here.
First time I went for a movie without being planned.. Don’t know the name of any character. But it’s just a mind blowing movie. I enjoyed a lot….Story screen play acting superb.. moreover it’s a must watch movie who are interested in crime, thriller, suspense…
the first movie was mindblowing, second was beatiful landscape sadly kinda boring, but this is so thrilling and unusual from other detective movie.
and "every murderer is somebody old friend" was spot on.
I always love detectives movies.. and can’t wait to see Poirot once again solving the mystery. And i think it’s more thrilling than 2 its previous movies. Keep going Poirot!
YES MORE KENNETH BRANAGH AS HERCULE POIROT
This looks awesome!!! Mystery/thriller and added supernatural/elements into the mix!!!! I love the unique angle of this film.... The last two films were nice.... I hope that this film also won't disappoint
For the entire length of the film, I have to pretend that Tina Fey is a serious actor. Oh dear!
Love it. I hope they never stop making these.
Oh snap! I was like, is that Hercule Pioirot? I’ve seen the poster but I didn’t know it was from that Detective! I liked the previous movie. Can’t wait!!!
These movies are so good! I really hope they don’t stop making them 😭 or start making them poorly
This is based on Agatha Christie's book Hallowe'en Party. Hopefully this will be good. Great cast!
The Agatha magic is more in the actual book ❤
Looking forward to this. The second film may have not been as good as the first (and suffered form some really bad CG environments), but both films have been visually extraordinary when it comes to camera movement and shot composition (though, again, the first film moreso than the second, but it's still in there for the second).
They do an excellent job of keeping confined environments really interesting and dynamic to look at (it could have easily been restricted to more static cameras and talking heads in different hands). You can tell the DP and cameraman are having fun with these films getting to do some of those shots.
After seeing it in the cinema, I think it is worth.
Dude i feel this franchise needs better marketing. I have watched the first 2 n still didn't knew when this one came in theatre n only found it by chance on ott.
Mystery/ detective genre needs better marketing to come to mainstream. Its sad that such good movies earn so little on box office
This such a fantastic movie, loved seeing it in theatres!
The first two movies were great in my opinion, but this one looks so interesting and unique - such a cool switch from the previous two films vibes. Very excited to see what this is like
Second was so trashy bffrr

Looking forward to this movie so much 😍. I have loved all the previous ones and are also a huge fan of all past Hercule Poirot series and movies so glad they keep doing sequels!
I'm really curious about this one. They said it will still take inspiration from a novel, but almost all elements of that novel, except the spooky atmosphere are gone!
It seems the murder will be veeeeerry different! Ariadne is fantastic casting, amazing actress! Hope they'll keep some of the original characters humor in there too!
they even said "based on"
I was thinking the same thing! Ariadne Oliver and the idea of drowning are the only connections I see to the book. If you want to create a new story based on Poirot that is one thing, but I don't see how it is based on Halloween Party.
@@jessicaeubank4332 Exactly.
Say what you will about wether or not these are good adaptations, but you can't deny Branagh has an eye for great visuals. This looks like pure, Halloween eye candy at the very least.
I like that the storytelling is not boring and especially the sound effects are first..

Of course, everything will get a rational explanation at the ened of a movie. However, I do like this cinematography, this approach and the suspense. Very different from the first 2.
Beda bgt sama novelnya, tapi aku sukaaa. Keneth branagh is a genius.

they turned this into a stylish horror whodunnit with creepy processed michelle yeoh? yeah alright I'll watch
The cast alone will make this worth watching. Two thumbs up.
As long as you keep to the source material and keep the quality up, I will pay to watch every single one of these you make until you are sick of making them.
wow... how many movie acting role that Michelle Yeoh got in a year... she is really a real life everything everywhere all at once...

One of the best Poirot movies in a long, long time,i was positively shocked!!
I dont know how I feel about an adaptation of Halloween Party with a supernatural twist. Like I’m a huge fan of Suchet’s Poirot portrayal but also I love the liberties that this director and film are taking with the Poirot namesake and novellas. I just hope it’s doesn’t try to be a horror movie - more suspense please :)
After watching this I want Michelle Yeoh to do a full on supernatural horror movie. I also like the rest of the cast, especially Kelly Reilly and Jamie Dornan. Nice to see Camille Cottin (I watched Call My Agent). And I always forget that Kenneth Branagh is Poirot even though I watched him in other movies, he's good. 😅

That fact you sold this as a horror movie is sickening. This isn’t some cheap knock off, this is Agatha Christie. Shameful
This looks way better than the other 2. I like the idea of placing an already established character into a horror element.
Excited to see this, I didn’t want to see a horror movie but I wanted suspenseful dark mystery so this is perfect

Watched it. Hated Tina Fey's character, with her obnoxious attitude and huge ego. Don't know why there's always that character who misses the point and chose to throw snide remark towards the opposite gender instead of paying attention to make them feel smart. I hate that her smugness didn't get call out until the end. She's too busy talking about other people's ego when she's got a huge one.
Exactly. Back then a woman knew better than to back sass. This is more woke revisionist nonsense.
