John F. Kennedy was notable for being the youngest person to ever be elected the President of the United States when he took the oath of office in 1961, thus becoming the 35th person to ever hold the title of. Throughout his brief presidency, he brought a ton of fresh, new energy to the White House. He was instrumental in creating the Peace Corps and is credited with having helped prevent World War III by successfully deescalating the Cuban Missile Crisis.
While JFK is widely known for his many accomplishments - as well as his untimely death on November 22, 1963 - the 35th president's love life is also a topic of much speculation and retrospective dissection. Although he meticulously crafted his public image as that of a devoted family man, JFK was quite possibly the most prolific presidential philander in United States history. This was a guy who literally said that he couldn't go more than a couple of days without sleeping with someone new before he would start suffering from a headache.
Kennedy was involved with many, many women, ranging from blonde bombshell Hollywood types like Marilyn Monroe to White House interns with unsettling ties to the mafia and the Soviets. Although he was famously married to the glamorous and beautiful brunette Jackie Kennedy, John had a predilection for blondes.
Jackie wasn't completely clueless about her husband's infidelity. She was after all, a very intelligent woman. She knew all about his numerous trysts, but she rationalized them by telling herself that John would always ultimately come back to her. It was fairly commonplace at the time for elite men to have affairs, so she probably just thought it was something that someone of her status had to put up with.
JFK's womanizing was even organized. Notoriously he enlisted the services of one, Dave Powers, a special assistant whose primary duty was to locate beautiful women that were willing to hook up with the President. John would even use the Secret Service to sneak women in and out of the White House. Talk about abuses of power privilege!
If you find all of this as fascinating as we do, watch this video in full to learn about the countless women that whom the late President had affairs with.

Yet the women took their husbands affairs as it was nothing. Even Ethel. Robert dated a lot of women, so did their younger brother Ted. Until the scandals went badly. Mary Kucpetchi.

According to my late Father, who was a New York City Policeman in the early 1960's. While on patrol in Central Park he saw Bobby Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe in an open carriage going through the park. He said Marilyn was all over Bobby and he wasn't making much of an effort to make her stop.
Later at the end of his shift he submitted the sighting in his end of duty report. He was quickly summoned into his supervisor office. His report was quickly destroyed. He was told to re-write report. Omitting what he saw with Marilyn Monroe and Bobby Kennedy, and to never speak or write about it again.
He told me this in the mid-1990's after he retired from the NYPD. It was about this time there was a flood of tell all books on the market. He was slightly amused by the whole thing. He wonder why everyone was so surprised by all the goings on the Kennedys and their extra marital affairs. He said "... it's not like they were making any effort to be discreet with what they were doing".

@@brianwalsh1401 Yes, even though technically not illegal. It was still the early 1960's. The Hay's commission was still in control of the content of motion pictures. The American public still expected their celebrities and politicians to be pure as the wind driven snow.
It was in my lifetime three of these things were done away with. The Hay's commission was dismantled 1968. Ronald Reagan, first divorce American President elected in 1980. Bill Clinton, first President to be open about his extra marital affairs 1992. In 1960 the religion of a President was still an issue. In my family (even though we as a whole voted Republican) J.F.K. was the first Irish-Catholic President and highly venerated in my parents home. So yeah it was a big deal in the early 1960's.

Raye Raskin, aside from agreeing with some of his policies, I find Donald Trump hard to take. But in politics it seems that nothing is off limits. But it's hard to feel any sympathy for someone when it's evident they are lying as in the Stormy Daniels case with Trump or the other women who said he groped them, or some of the lewd comments that he made about women. It seems that the only women who have value are the women he thinks are valuable, and the others he can treat disrespectfully. The same is true of Bill Clinton who looked straight at the camera and said,"I did not have a sexual relationship with that woman." As far as the January 6 assault on the Capitol, I think Trump should have been careful to watch his rhetoric since what he says could be construed by some as a signal to proceed with an assault that could and did have a devastating effect.

From what I read, he could do it almost always while laying on his (usually sore) back, with the lady on the upside instead of her on her back. I also iread his drug use was also because of his back (and Addison's disease), so that also could have contributed to his constant desire to have a woman in bed with him. He once famously said to P.M. Harold MacMillan, paraphrasing, "If I don't have sex frequently, I get headaches." There were other presidents who had many affairs, such as F.D. Roosevelt, and Eisenhower with his army secretary. Those men perceived in having a lot of power, always attract women, so it is not unusual for almost all presidents to not be faithful to their wives. The press usually covered-up for a president's personal life back in those days, as long as it did not affect public policy. That changed by the late-'60s, with the changing times.

Separating the man from his human weaknesses: these are also the facts, and this is also history! John Kennedy served in World War ll, ran for Congress at age twenty-nine while still recovering from his war injuries and won, serving from 1947-1953, he was elected to the Senate and served from 1953-1960 when he became our 35th President. Early in his presidency he had one major setback, the Bay of Pigs, which was encouraged by both the military and the CIA, and which he took full responsibility for, and which fiasco caused him to never again regard the CIA. The Cuban Missile Crisis, a thirteen day standoff between the U S. and the Soviet Union and which someone referred to in their comments as just the Soviet Union "flexing their muscles" was much more than that! Krustchev vowing to defend the Soviet Union by the use of nuclear weapons had begun the shipment of nuclear ballistic missiles to Cuba, and in 1962 an American U-2 spy plane secretly photographed nuclear missile sites being built in Cuba, on October 14, 1962, the presence of a ballistic missile on a launching pad had been reported, such missile being only ninety miles from U.S. shores and being able to reach it in minutes! On October 22, 1962 Kennedy announced that he had ordered a naval quarantine around Cuba preventing Soviet ships if carrying nuclear warheads from reaching Cuba. Kruschev eventually backed down with the agreement that the U S. would not invade Cuba and in a later agreement to remove U. S. Missiles from Turkey. Again, separating the man from his human weakness, John Kennedy served his Country during "war and peace" and many of these comments made here come from people who were not born yet and never experienced his presidency and who have "never served their Country in any way!" I lived through the election, presidency and assassination of John Kennedy and I can assure you that his election was a time of hope and promise for the Country and one which we will never see again!

There are similarities between JFK and MLK. Many people are unaware the southern baptist preacher was once engaged and living with his white girlfriend. He also had several affairs.
This is what happens when parents choose the mate.
Joseph P wanted Jackie Bouvier to marry JFK because of her father's wealth, and Jackie's elegance as a future First Lady.
MLK wanted Jr. to drop his white fiance, because the southern black baptists would not accept him as their leader. Plus, it would not be considered a legal marriage in the Jim Crow south. All barriers to the plan that MLK start the civil rights movement.

Numerous books on the Kennedy family detail all these affairs. I have an interesting tale. I had a friend in the travel business in Hawaii. Somehow he had an office in a building where the entertainer "Don Ho" also had an office. He had to discuss some business with Mr. Ho, so he popped by his office. There on the sofa underneath Mr. Ho, naked, was Jackie Kennedy. I told my friend he was crazy. He stuck to his story. Last night I was looking at the Wikipedia page of Doris Duke, it mentioned Jackie Kennedy as being a close pal of Duke's. You know, with the large home in Honolulu, private planes, ect....... BTW If you want REAL entertainment, Doris Duke's life will cure all boredom.

I'm not sure of the circumstances, but JFK couldn't stop the invasion. What JFK did was pull air support for the op by ordering aircraft carriers to stand down. Afterward, JFK called CIA director Allen Dulles and deputy director Charles Cabell on the carpet. He reminded Dulles that he didn't want the op to go through, but Dulles did nothing to stop it. He didn't approve Dulles' hiring mercenaries as guides for U.S. troops as they knew Havana better than the soldiers. He fired Dulles and told him he "was going to splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter them to the winds." He then turned his attention to Cabell. He told Cabell he wasn't going to fire him, but he wanted his resignation on his desk in the morning.

According to Taraborrelli, after speaking to multiple sources, Jackie told family members that there was a 'haunting quality to Marilyn's voice that really stuck with her. ' In April 1962, Monroe called and asked, 'Is Jack home?' to which Kennedy said he wasn't, and then asked who was calling.

As JFK seemingly had so many affairs, is it known if Jaquie had some flings of her own during this time?
There is love, and there is acceptance, (possibly both at the same time). Status and money must have helped, but it certainly couldn't have made her happy when she found out about her husband's next up and coming bed-mate. This is not a good look for JFK.

A very minor thing. T.R. was 42 (b. Oct. 27, 1858), when he became president on Sep. 14, 1901 He died at only 60 on Jan. 6, 1919, thinking of running again in 1920! McKinley lasted 8 days after the shooting (Sep. 6), so how would that have gone in 1963, if Kennedy had been alive but unconscious, or on a machine for breathing for 8 days? The country would have been in turmoil, before the 25th Amendment (1967) passed because of Kennedy's murder.

I've read about JFK's affair with Mary Pinchot Myer. In a nutshell, it's said he was in love with her, & would have divorced Jackie & married her! Mary was divorced from one Cord Meyer, who had been the Director of the CIA! Someone assassinated her with a bullet in her head as she jogged along the Potomac River towpath the year after JFK was killed - also with a bullet to his head! They arrested a black man & the case went 2 trial but was acquitted! Whenever Jackie was away, Mary would come 2 the White House 2 spend a romantic evening w/JFK. His secret service was on the watch out for Jackie coming home, & would warn the President!
