Ucat or bmat is needed for undergraduate medicine except Buckingham uni which is the only private uni in the UK teaching medicine however its private so its fees are significantly higher and not funded by student finance. For graduate entry med most unis do ask for ucat. Some I think ask for bmat but check their entry requirements
