Sure hope you have 38 parts to this series. It could get pretty deep I reckon. I like the functionality for cabinets with doors, drawers, shelves, pulls, linebore, different laminates, core materials.....
you set "MARK" to appear and disappear by clicking,.. can you make it by the same clicking, to disappear Mark, and appear someone(another component) as replacing Mark, then click back Mark and disappear the other?? (2 components interchanged by click)
Parametric modelling in SketchUP, how cool is that?! I found this video very useful, but I did lost Mark a few times (by simply using another function after make it disappear) and I wonder how can it be found other than press "undo". Cheers
Salut, merci pour ces super vidéos, mais là j'ai un problème. J'enregistre le pantalon de Marc comme composant, il est enregistré dans la liste des composants, mais quand je clic dessus, il n'apparait pas comme composant dans son cadre bleu???
I was not able to find the color pallette. Where is it hidden or how do I set it up? Also I noticed your tool bar is quite different than mine. Trying to add components to mimic yours.
I am running Pro 2020. I have created a component then entered the component to select the face inside the component that I want to change color on. I created a component and named it panel but it did not keep that as a sub component. what am I doing wrong?
When you create the subcomponent and you're in the "create component" dialog box, be sure that the box called "Replace Selection with Component" is checked.
@@carlpetitt2241 I tried half a dozen times or so and nothing worked! Figured I'd go through the comments to see if others had this problem and sure enough! Thank you
Hi Aaron! There is a video about a dynamic window with download link on my channel. Everyone can download it and check out what this dynamic component feature is capable of.
2:42 Hidden Gosh, I wish you'd zoom in... 👵👓🔎 Unfortunately, after I click to hide the door, the finger cursor doesn't recognize that the door is hiding and to bring it back. 😣 I have to "edit, undo".
I finally found it! ANIMATE("ROTY"0,180) But it doesn't work! It only lays there and flaps from 180 to 90 and back to 180 on the 2nd click. It won't go back to 0! 😭😭😭
There is something about the Y-Axis that doesn't like to complete a return rotation. If I build the thing upright to rotate along the Z like a normal door, then I just tip it over to lay down flat, it will work. But if I build the thing flat on the ground to rotate on the Y like a cardboard box, then I flip it upright, it still won't work. Weird!!!
It's been a month and I'm learning alot. For instance, if I build a thing laying along the Green Axis, then I put it into the position I want it in - along the Red Axis - it's all messed up. Clicking results in the thing flipping completely out and away in some crazy direction. So, I have to build it in the same direction as where it will eventually be placed. If there's a fix for this, it'd be great to find out. Have a happy! ☕ 6:53 The way to get the color to change!
So, I followed the "Hidden" thing exactly, and it disappeared correctly, but as soon as I moved my cursor off the same place I clicked to hide it, it lost the component and couldn't bring it back. I think today, I need to actually log in and check out the Forums...
Hello friend, i've been watching your videos and i had a question. I have a part and i wanted to resize holes in the part without having to remodel it, is it possible ? How to do this task ?
I tried to do this with 3 subcomponents. 1 for the hole surface, 2 for the surfaces circles (with the cut-surface option). It's complicated but not impossible. The problem is when you make the section, because the system don't recognize the fill.
The answer of Carl Petitt (see above) solved the same problem for me :-) [Carl Petitt , When you create the subcomponent and you're in the "create component" dialog box, be sure that the box called "Replace Selection with Component" is checked.]

I'd be interested in doing a sash window dynamic component. Or something similar. Thanks for these videos.

I know this is late, but "Replace selection with component" needs to be checked.

Aaron has a Mac. If you're on a PC, it won't look the same. We don't get the pretty colored pencils.
😕

I have the same issue. I made a subcomponent and afterwards it doesn't show in the attributes window.

How to change pants from colour to texture?
Thank you so much.
Please more!
I also can not figure out how to make the colors change as I do not seem to have a default color option

nevermind. .. I am feeble minded today . . .LOL
Followed tutorial closely but getting error message: Invalid entity to animate: (“hidden”) Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Same here, a bit frustrating TBH.
Are you on a Mac? Do you have Smart Quotes enabled?
@@AaronMakingStuff Hmm, I'll check...

So, now I'm back tryin' to figure out how to use the finger cursor to rotate something, but apparently rotation is not a "behavior"?????

please show us about how to animate

按上述教程操作了,但是还是没法实现onclick 的功能,表示很困惑。
请确保你输入函数时的输入法状态是英文状态,有些中文符号和英文符号看起来相似,但计算机读取的数据却完全不同。

I didn’t have a Mark. I did have a Laura. But, these actions did not work with her. Very frustrating.

Nice! but I do not see the benefit of this function. Anyway waiting for the part 4! :D
