    Roger sang the song in Swedish in the Swedish audition, but in Eurovision he sang it in English. Roger has Sami ancestry and often performs in clothes inspired by that culture. The Sami are a people who live in northern Sweden, but also in an area that stretches across northern Norway, Finland and Russia. They have their own culture, language and flag. Another person who is also Sami is Jon Henrik Fjällgren. You should react to "Daniels jojk talent Sverige 2014".

    He's part sapmi, which is the natives that lived in Sweden before Sweden became Sweden. I for example am one! Glade that u reacted to this song. It's my childhood!

    She's right. Roger Pontare is Sami which is Sweden's indigenous people. Nothing to do with vikings or pagans.
