His switches to first person was for the benefit of his girlfriend who was present. This a covid arrangement with the other four doing their parts from home.
I like how the guys switch up who sings lead. So this was obviously an Austin lead...for more check out Crazy where he sings in the same key at Patsy Cline. And yes, check out his channel by all means but with the "My Maria" with Tim, listen all the way to the end....then you can hear Tim's speaking voice.😊
Thank you for your reaction. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Austin has a fantastic voice, so beautiful and expressive! These guys make you forget that the song has no instruments. Adam's beatboxing and the bass line are perfect. Another good reaction, thanks!
Home Free just dropped the BEST THING EVER!!!! Brothers in Arms, I thought the harmonies could not get better than they were in Helplessly Hoping, but they DID!!!
This reaction is titled " When A Voice Teacher Says "What The Hek What The Hek?? Biscuits"🤣 Your greatly entertaining to me. Austin he does always amaze us Home Fries, with those vocals of his and his expressions always put the feeling into it as well.
They just put out a new video that explores the opposite end of Home Free's range. You'll be completely blown away by their rendition of "Brothers in Arms."
I loved your facial reaction when he just kept going higher and higher!! Be sure to listen to Home Free singing “Oh Holy Night” you love Austin’s vocal gymnastics at the end when he goes up to full falsetto at the very end!! He’s great singing “Unchained Melody! Listen to Austin and Tim singing “My Maria”!! Tim singing higher than Austin!! Nice reaction ,!
Greetings from a danish fry / new sub thank you for a great reaction it´s hard to believe but Tim spent 3 - 4 years to convice Austin to do this cover after releasing it Tim said with a naughty smile -- lets see in 9 months how many babies Austin just helped into the world . Looking forward to your next reaction
LOVED your reaction Christopher. Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. This was done during Covid so I liked the tv’s, so clever. Home Free did so many songs during Covid and it really helped me endure lock down. They have some funny ones from last year. Quarantine, Sea Shanty Medley, Sunday Best, they’re fun. Or if you want incredible harmonies try Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, How Great Thou Art, One Man Band, Folsom Prison Blues. Anything is good and they don’t mind being silly.
Just stubbed for your great reaction to our Austin Brown of Home Free you need to check out his channel for his version of Unchained Melody and for his cover of At Last in the same key as Etta James. And also you should check out Home free cover of Crazy.
Austin has always been my favorite because of what he can do with his chest voice, his breath control, etc. He can hold notes as long as anyone and does at times in live shows where the guys don't come in and he looks back and forth at them and uses his arms like come on guys! It's so funny. Have you listened to some of his solo work this year? Incredible stuff. And how about Home Free live with Austin showing off his classical training on Les Miserables, Bring Him Home? Oh man!!! Hope you've had a chance to hear him do that one. Take care!
I appreciate his background in music, as I myself have the same background. Loveeee the control he has. I definitely have “Bring Him Home” on the list :)
You are so much fun to watch while reacting. I love that you use "Biscuits", just means you really like that a song, it's as good a your Mama's biscuits. It beats that I say "Holy Moly", but just to myself. There are so many songs to do from Home Free and none will disappoint. I will just leave one for now...Good Ol' Boy Good Time...it's fun. Thanks
Yes that's a great one and you will see a lot of great South Georgia landscape that you probably are aware of or have seen right? Didn't I hear you say one time that you are a Georgia boy? Correct me if wrong! Austin is from Tifton, Ga.
Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this beautiful song. He has an absolutely amazing voice, a 4 octave range. He had his beautiful lady in the studio while he was singing this.
Austin has one set of pipes 🥰🙃‼️🔥. One thing he does 6 days a week…..meditates & breathing exercises…..it shows in his singing 🙃🔥‼️🥰. He takes care of himself ….. & boy, it shows 🥰🔥‼️ And, it didn’t hurt that his lovely lady was in the studio while he was singing it…(Amberly). Want to see her, go to his channel & catch “TAKE THE NIGHT OFF”…. It’s too cute !!!! He wrote it…& he’s got some Great solos on his channel 🙃🥰🔥‼️
Thank you for your great reaction, so informative and fun to watch. Home Free guys released Brothers in Arms yesterday and it's five part harmony perfection, hauntingly beautiful
I listen to a lot of reactions, but rarely subscribe because most of them are no more than, "Ooohhh, that was so good." Not having a musical background, I want to know why it's good. And you tell me. @@creativecrewfam hey guy, I'm glad I found your channel. It looks like you really enjoy your work, and so do I. I've got a question, in this video you are wearing a white and green type of sweatshirt. It looks great on you. Where did you get it, or brand name? I have a close friend that wears 4xl-6xl shirt's depending brand name, and would like to get him one, or something similar. Thanks in advance.
Great song ... a little bit of history on the band if I remember correctly Austin ( the lead singer in this one) was a singer one a cruise line, Tim ( the bass) was a substitute school teacher, Rob ( the one with the full beard ) was a bar tender) the other 2 I'm not sure about but I think they all have found their true calling 👼🤗 also Austin's girlfriend was standing off camera for inspiration 😉
Great reaction. Good to get a tenor reaction & someone who knows something about singing ( I don't but I'm learning all the time) Along With Bass Singer reacts, who gives me great info & appreciation for these guys. It makes it so much more enjoyable for me. Austin is awesome. & the background harmonies divine.
I've always loved Michael Boltons rendition of this song but when I heard home free do this cover it blew me away I'm really love their version even more ...
New sub here, here for the Home Free reactions first and foremost! Austin's a beast. The genuine warmth and soul deep, unconditional love be brings forth here is due to his muse - the gorgeous, funny, smart and amazing Amberly - his girlfriend. It floors everyone. Since I'm new here I haven't yet checked out your playlist, but just in case you haven't yet reacted to any of Austin's solo stuff he's got a whole bunch of both covers and originals on his solo channel. The covers are simply performed while the originals are more produced. All of them fantastic on their own way. His cover of Tears in Heaven or Danny Boy might just move it tears, while Signed, Sealed, Delivered will make you smile and get up and dance. I would see your reactions to some of them. As for Home Free, you can't go wrong, and their latest release, their cover of Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms might hit you on the feels in a different way. Thanks for the reaction! 🥰🙏
It's easy to overlook the exceptional support given by the rest of HF, particularly when you consider that (because of Covid) everyone's part was recorded individually. Adam Rupp does some very creative work here as well.
This may be my favorite reaction ever! After seeing your reaction to the very beginning of the song I was just sitting here with a huge grin on my face saying, "just wait..." lol. Great reaction.. It was interesting how you were breaking it down... I've been a Home Fry since they won the Sing-Off... I sub for anyone who reacts to Home Free.
Austin was a little on the shy side when they were on the Sing Off and the judges commented that he was a little hesitant to really go for the high notes. All of them have a three or four octave range. Tim has a five octave range. You need to watch their version of Ring of Fire from the show to see Tim's range, and Pretty Woman which shows Austin. Make sure you watch the ones from the Sing Off, which means they were singing before a live audience with no production or layering going on in the back ground.
@@creativecrewfam Thank you for replying. I did you to your account and found the part 1/2 and was glad you were able to see them live without any production.
Just started watching your channel and I love how you explain every note they are singing .love this group so much they are amazing your In awe watching them Can you do a little elvis reactions id love to hear you explain his singing to us Can you react to elvis trying to get to you from 68 come back special
It is good to hear a tenor analyze the vocal placement of another tenor. Women especially can't distinguish between chest, mix, head and falsetto. It is a matter of color that reallly gives it away and it can be subtle since a tenor can do the same note in all four different techniques. Thanks for the analysis.
Austin Brown and Tim Foust have their own personal channels a must check out. Tim and Austin just released not long ago a video of them performing Brooks and Done cover of My Merriea.
Hello sir, I'm a new viewer of ur channel just watching this after ur reaction to Endlessly Hoping. I'm a big fan of Home Free as well. Ty for your analysis and spot on comments. Enjoyed seeing ur emotional connection also. I reviewed ut list of reactions. I know u get a lot of requests but are you interested in reacting to a singer that has a range of over 6 octaves? Highest recorded note of a D8? Yes one note off the piano. This singer at the age of 5 years old was found to have perfect pitch and was accepted into his country's top music academy. He now sings in 12 languages and speaks 4 fluently. He will utterly amaze you and is considering by many to be the world's most talented singer. His name is Dimash Kudaibergen. Simply search Dimash then the song titles as his videos have millions of views. Recommend u start with a live 2017 performance of S.O.S. in the largest viewed talent show in the world from China called I Am Singer which is a competition of professional Chinese singers from different genres that compete for the title of Chinese singer of the year. Dimash was a first for the show as a special invitee unknown from Kazakhstan. This was his breakout to worldwide acclaim. He opened the contest with S.O.S. one of the hardest French songs to sing ever composed. Please react. Ty. The next to follow...Sinful Passion from which u will be even more amazed and witness a performance of talent you have never seen. Trust me. Subscribed.
Great reaction/review! They also do a great cover of Crazy that you will probably like. Keep on doing the Home Free reactions. Since you seem to understand tenors really well, do you have the bandwidth for another artist? If so, then try Dimash Kudaibergen (sometimes Qudaibergen). A good intro song is "SOS d'un terrien en detresse" (a cry for help from an earthling in distress) and he has a recent digital concert performance, so we're talking live, like most of his work : ruclips.net/video/AUARjexCTlQ/видео.html . It is in French, so turn on the captions which seem to come up in English by default. If you haven't heard his work, it can be shocking the first time.
I can't remember if I've commented on this video before - and I'm too lazy to page through all the comments, so.... I love your reaction to this. And the technical explanations you added. Is technical even the right term? I never liked the Percy Sledge original or the Michael Bolton cover. Still don't like the song much, but I've got to admire all the talent on display. Not just Austin, but Adam's vocal percussion and the backing vocals. Kudos to all the guys for doing this fabulous job at separate sites during quarantine. Not to mention the producer and the video person who had to stitch it all together seamlessly. I think there might have to be a whole pan of biscuits awarded here. With butter and honey. And at least a couple for you. Great video.
P.S For perfect 5 part harmonies check out their cover of Crosby , Stills and Nash Helplessly hoping
What are you doing ? That is not fair to do to him he will need the AC on and someone there to catch him.
Edit: but in saying that I agree 100%.
It's true, Chris, there's no way around it... You have to do this one... No, really... You just have to!
In the audience member video of the song "Honey I'm Good", Austin hits (and carries) a note that's astonishing.
the best part of home free is the clarity of the words and how every song they do gives emotion and meaning to the lyrics it is a no mumbling zone

Thank you!!
