- Time to keep the dogs out of the shed. The list of things they have removed from my toolbox and deposited around the backyard is long. They seem to have a love for destroying ear muffs. Turned into may useless pieces.

lol. #1 great job. #2 generator. #3 skill saw & meter saw. #4 air compressor and nail guns. #5 floor insulation. love it.
Slowly building up my tool kit. Now have saws and brad gun. I think I will need to pull the roof off next spring and put in sisalation. That was my biggest oversight. Live and Learn.

Nice looking cabin you do good work. Now its time to carve you a corn cob pipe and grab your banjer and sit on the porch with your hound dog and play some tunes. LOL=) I need to build me a new shed too my old one is just about to fall down.

I love this build and the method you used. I am moving south away from the cold when I retire and this is the idea that I have on my mind. I know it will be awesome if I stick to the plan.
Sounds great! This is me planning for my retirement where I want to build something similar, a long way from anywhere.

It looks nice, I don't know what the climate is like where you're at, but where I'm at, you'd have to compete with the bugs for living space in a build like that.
A few flies in summer and a few mosquitoes other times but nothing to bothersome. I do not think I would like to live in an area where you have to compete with bugs. My dogs are bad enough.
It is hard to hide experience or inexperience.Door frame up early in the build .Gutters ,down pipes,water tank and nearly off grid
Gutter is in and running to the frog pond next to that cabin. Next project on the list is to get a liner for the pond.

why did you used the metal sheets indoor also? How much material cost all together? I like your construction...
Thanks. Metal sheets inside purely because I like the look. All up including Solar around $4K Aus.

Was build during weekends and evenings after work over 3 months. total cost about $4K Aus including the solar.
I did some rough calculations and came up with about 400 hours of work time.
Why didnt you make that door open out so it doesnt take room up in the small inside space? I can never figure out why people do that. Nice work you are doing, its cute.

Thanks, North of 50 but not too much. Always have a few projects on the go to keep mind and body exercised.
From start to finish, how long did it take to complete this shed?
3 months working weekends and evenings after work.
2 months for what you see in this video. The final cladding and internals took another month of weekends.

Ci sono voluti 3 mesi di fine settimana e serate dopo il lavoro per completare la costruzione. Costo totale circa $ 4000 dollari australiani.

Looks great but why the double siding wasted materials and time ?
Thanks, Looks mostly. Didn't want the overlap to look like a fence. Timbers where green when attached so shrink quite a bit leaving a gap between boards.

Uffff en el vídeo anterior (36mnts) hizo una casa y en este (52 mnts) apenas puso una puerta , igual al primero un 10
LOL.
La construcción de la choza fue muy simple. La instalación de la puerta fue un asunto mucho más complicado. Tiene que caber dentro del marco y demás.

I really like the work that you’re doing but I’ve got to ask a question to most all of the off grid cabin builders. Why is it that almost none of you set up a table or sawhorses to work off of. It would be so much easier on your knees and back. Even the pioneers you saw horses.
Just building up my tool collection. Saw horses are on the list. And a drop saw bench.
Can someone tell me why the front of the house is .lower then the back? Why isn't even?
