Growing up in the 70's & 80's, we didn't have AC in the house. So for me Crock-Pot season is all year long. We used it all summer because we didn't want to heat up the house with the oven.
I just made the Mississippi Pot Roast for the first time ever a few weeks ago, and I made a big one with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots as sides. It was DELICIOUS! But for the leftovers we made French Dips on steak rolls for dinner another night, with provolone cheese and sautéed mushrooms and onions, with the warm broth as dip sauce. My 22 year old son never spoke a single word while he was eating! This is gonna be on regular rotation at our house!
A funny story about the Mississippi roast: a couple of years ago when I was living in an apartment and making this for dinner, I got a knock on the door from a maintenance guy. He said he could smell it outside and it smelled too delicious and had to know what it was. I shared the recipe and gave him a spare packet of Au Jus mix. It made my day.
I love everything i have made from ypu- so, JESSICA!!! Ypu know you aren’t supposed to put potatos in to boiling water! Folks, ALWAYS start w non hot water! 😘😊
Truth...i've been using my slow cookers a lot this summer, just to keep the kitchen cooler and avoid kitchen mess. I am so ready for fall and these recipes look real good!
YES, I used to love canned peas, but my mom creamed them! They were delicious, but now that I’m grown, I prefer peas frozen. They taste like home grown!
I buy a full size Roast and divide it up and freeze leftovers. Then on a night when I don’t feel like cooking I have my own homemade TV dinner. It helps stretch my food budget and it saves on food waste.
When you come out with your cookbook please add crockpot recipes. Can't wait to try these recipes. Everything sounds so delicious. I'm over here drooling by just looking at the thumbnail picture.
Crock aPot Chuck Roast us the Best! I put mine on a layer of sliced onions top with fresh Mushrooms and pour over a can of Cream of Mushroom Soup, thinned out with a little milk. You want it pourable, but not too liquify or think. I serve it for Christmas dinner with Mashed Pitatoes and a Green Vegetable! So good.
Just a suggestion, it is just me and my son at home so I cook for two as well. I also half recipes But a lot of food like pot roast or soups that have been cooked already can be frozen. I always make a whole pot roast and I freeze the other half juice and all. They are just as good the next time you eat it, I will use a Ziploc freezer bag or I have a vacuum sealer.
So I've been watching this video for a couple of weeks bc we were getting ready for vacation. I bought everything ready to make it when we got home. Today was day one at home and we made the creamy chicken and rice. It was to die for! Seriously we couldn't get enough. Even our furbaby (8 months old) couldn't get enough. Definitely making this again and again! Thank you both so much. You're my kind of beautiful people ❤️
I like it when you “👀” eye 🏀ball the ingredients ➕plus put your own 💃🏼spin on a recipe. And if you don’t have everything it’s call for you use whatever substitution ingredient you have on 🤚🏽 hand. I’m here for that 👌🏾🤣
Cannot wait to try these recipes! Let me rephrase that, I cannot wait to make them! World's picky-est eater here, but my husband will love them! I've made the Mississippi Chicken & he liked it better than Mississippi Pot Roast & he loved the Roast Beef Sandwiches! Tip...when you're shopping for a Roast for just the two of you, ask them in the Meat Dept. to cut it in half or thirds, I don't eat it, so it's hard to find one tiny one! They will wrap them separately & then all together with the price, freeze the rest! Every store I have asked has done this for me. Love your channel!!
I made the Creamy Slow Chicken for me and my husband. He is a picky eater, so I was hesitant, but I made it. It was so HELLA good. My husband loved it! Both of you are the cutest couple. May God Bless.😍🤩
If the roast is large, just cut it in half and freeze the other half. I find that is usually cheaper and you have an extra roast for another dinner! Love these recipes! Thank you! 🥰🙏😎💕
I loved canned peas with mashed potatoes. I've never seen anyone cook them like I do. I cook them with butter, Brown sugar and minced up onion. So freaking good!
When I come home and just need to relax and unwind I love to turn y’all on! It’s so easy to watch you two ❤! Thanks for being you and sharing your story!
All of these recipes look so good! And I LOVE the little green peas! My mother used to tell me that I was the only child in the world that loved them! I was the only one in the house that would eat them. 🙂
My late grandmother use to put her leftover beef and chicken broth into an ice tray freeze then pop them out and put them in a labeled bag then put them back into the freezer.
That Mississippi Chicken Recipe ya’ll put out is the best crockpot chicken I’ve ever had in my life .10/10 ! My pregnant wife and I came home starving, and it 100% satisfied both my wifey and the baby’s hunger! If ya’ll that follow her haven’t tried it go out and getcha some!
My girls & 16 month old granddaughter LOVE the chicken & rice recipe. I change it up every single time though. The cheddar broccoli rice mix with 1 can broccoli cheese/cream of broccoli/cream of chicken w/ herbs (any combo you like) is probably our favorite. I’ve also used 1 pack garlic & herb with 1 pack chicken broccoli plus any combo of soups. You get my point. It makes the flavor incredible & slightly different each time!!
I love peas, but they have to be the frozen ones, with some butter and salt. All of these recipes look sooo good! I cannot wait to try these all! Thank you so much for sharing 😁❤
I’m really looking forward to trying these recipes! I think your mom’s white chicken chili would be really good in a bread bowl or on a baked potato. Thanks for these great recipes!
I love all these recipes and I love using my crockpot over the summer when we are so busy and it’s too hot to cook! And I forgot about that chicken chili recipe! It was a recipe from Rachel Ray YEARS ago. It’s so simple yet so delicious and I always forget about it. Thanks for some delicious ideas. 😊
You're a testament to young couples. Love the way you all treat each other. And thoroughly enjoyed 👀 your Fam.❤❤❤❤❤ Thxs for allowing us in you lives. Blessings to the Bunkeys.
I love all of these recipes!! And I LOVE LaSeuer tiny peas 🫛 so good. I make them like my MIL always made them, she was a fabulous cook from Louisiana!
I am so with you on the mississippi chicken. So good. We have been working outside at my moms house every afternoon. I love coming home to dinner. We even use the small crockpots for sides.
Love this video of your 7 favorite crockpot recipes! I'm always looking for more things to do in the crockpot, and you've given me so many more! Thank you! We pretty much only do chicken so, these will be great! Love you guys! And also watch Mandy & Steven (& Cole!) too! Help doing what you do! You're awesome! ♥️
That looks so good, Jessica, take a can of please put it in your pot. Do not drain it, take a little flower and a little milk and mix it up and pour it in there and just keep stirring it. And it will thicken and peas are good that way. They're called cream peas love you guys❤❤
I made that chicken and rice in the crockpot. My husband loved it, I wasn't a huge fan. But, I will definitely make it again for him. All these look delicious 😋 As always, sending you much love from Wisconsin ❤
I absolutely LOVE can peas i can eat them straight out of the can even cold. My mom always made tuna casserole when i was little and she would have the cream mushroom soup, peas, and tuna all mixed waiting for pasta to he done cooking. She would come in kitchen and catch me eating the peas out of it stone cold all the time. Im now 53 and i still do it. Just found your channel and i hit the subscribe and all notifications button cause i love to find new recipes to try! ❤
Jessica Oh my. I love my crockpot and these recipes are amazing. Especially like the chicken pasta and broccoli. I will need to try to make your mom’s chicken chili this fall once it gets cooler. Right now it is still 90 in south central Pennsylvania. Love your channel. Hello Daisy.
Those Chicken crock pot recipes look delicious! It is still too warm up here in SE MI to use the Crock Pot, but when it cools off up here, they will be on my list for this Fall. Love you two.❤️
In hot weather, I set my crock pot in my garage, in the down stairs family room, or on the patio. That keeps the extra heat outside. Works like a charm.
Hi! Just recently found your channel. I made the rigatoni recipe on Monday and tonight I’m making the chicken and rice… I can’t wait!! I used the smoked Gouda in the pasta one and it was AMAZING! ♥️ 🎉

I love the baby LeSeur canned peas. Especially with mashed potatoes and gravy. Loving your recipes and y’all laughing. Thank you!
Mom used to 'pay extra', for LeSeur, back in the day. She swore by LeSeur green peas and also, their asparagus.
@@rokigirl2590 LeSeur canned petite peas is what I was raised on, too! I didn't get much fresh veggies.
