Thats called the shit mode, aka lfm mode which turns off all the dsp and making it sound like a 5 dollar speaker.

Actually it adds to the max volume for outdoors and sounds more balanced at max volume. So better for outdoors if loudness is what’s needed.

If lfm mode is enabled on battery that doesnt mean its playing 50w max. Its still max 30w. I have tested this because of you have lfm enabled and plug in the power cord then it goes louder.
