    What a steal - congratulations! The PSL is one of the most enjoyable firearms I’ve owned.
    Quick tip: Don’t despair if it seems inaccurate the first time you take it out. Many PSL’s are ammo sensitive - and it’s all about finding one round that yours really likes. Mine is a tack driver with Wolf 148’s, but it has trouble hitting the broad side of a barn with many other rounds.

      @@Triangle26 thanks! I was super stoked to score it at that price. Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely keep that in mind, I still need to put in my KNS piston. BTW, have you had any experience with the 20rd mags Atlantic sells for them?

      If you have a pinned muzzle device look down the barrel with a light at the crown. When they changed the process from threaded to pinned for production cost savings they made a mistake. That will drastically affect accuracy.

    • @colbyrichardson1816
      @colbyrichardson1816 26 дней назад

      @@creighobbs2716so your saying threaded is more accurate ?

    • @creighobbs2716
      @creighobbs2716 22 дня назад

      @@colbyrichardson1816 not due to threads but because of the machining process at the end of the barrel to thread it. When they stopped threading the barrels to save cost and started pressing and pinning the muzzle device the end of the barrels are left rough cut only. This is a process error. The barrel is not finished on the end often referred to as a crown. When a projectile leaves a rough cut barrel the last contact is irregular and jagged greatly affecting accuracy. A crowned barrel has a finished concentric surface that increases consistent repeatability and accuracy.

    Outstanding deal! Welcome to the club.
    Do yourself two huge favors, sounds like you know about the first one.
    #1 get a KNS adjustable gas piston kit so the gun doesn't beat itself to death. They are horribly over gassed even with light weight projectiles.
    #2 you have a pinned muzzle device. When they changed the process from the threaded muzzle device they screwed up and did not put a crown on them. Look down your barrel with a light and it will look like it got cut off on a chop saw. This drastically affects accuracy.
    These two easily fixed things are probably why it was marked so low. Most people don't understand these guns nor are they willing to put extra money into a $2,000.00 + gun to fix them. So good on you man!
    Current century arms PSL are new production not kits. Everything should match unless it's been damaged or repaired. That also explains the lack of cosmoline on your gun.
    Glad you know about Rob Ski he's a wealth of information.

    Mine was a tack driver for the first three shots. Then as the barrel got warm then hot the POI walked all over. The super thin barrel is the reason. BUT as a rifle for a scout, where you carry a lot and shoot seldom, it is perfect. Mine came with w 5 round as well as a ten round mags that were serialed to the gun.

    The pitting is usually not a huge deal clean it up with a smallwire wheel and hit it with high heat black paint. Then use a heat gun on low setting to get the paint to set.
    P.s. if you haven't figured it out yet the steel plate on the butstock is spring loaded two springs one on top 1 on bottom to help with recoil.
