    Thanks for your input. When I first started my plant based journey, I forced myself to just eat whole foods. I made myself eat fruits, sweet potatoes, whole grains, etc. Soon I started craving those foods and stopped craving junk food like chips which I used to eat mindlessly. I even noticed foods that are particularly chemically tasting, or too sweet or salty, but fatty foods still taste good to me. I went on a plant based lifestyle change because loved ones around were struggling with food related illnesses like heart attacks, diabetes, cancers, high blood pressure and stokes. Trying to change my own health future.

      I’ve been eating 95% carnivore for almost a year now. It’s improved my health a lot. So many diseases are caused by too much carbage in our diets, including heart attacks, obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, etc. The humans that live the longest eat the most meat. Look at the stats for the residents of Hong Kong. 👍 Meat heals! P.S. I began my diet when I got a scare about possible kidney stones.- 80% of kidney stones are calcium oxalate stones. I’d been eating lots and lots of almond butter for years, and almonds (and spinach, and so much other plant “foods”) are loaded with oxalate. My arthritic knuckles quit hurting 2 months in to the diet. My teeth are no longer sensitive to cold. Just 2 of the many improvements in my health! 😍

    I've watched how my obese relatives eat dinner and how my normal weight relatives eat dinner and there is a stark difference between them. The normal weight relatives take much smaller portions on their plates and very slowly eat it and then don't go back for seconds. They spend more time talking to each other during dinner than they do eating. If they do have dessert it is usually just a very thin slice and they have something like coffee or hot tea with it and spend more time sipping the hot beverage than eating. The obese relatives tend to wolf down their food and go for seconds and thirds.

    I think it’s also important to consider what kind of fat, what kind of sugar, what kind of salt. Do you want food steeped in processed seed oils, fructose or maybe lactose, with a large pinch of sea salt with microplastics? Part of the problem is government that pushes McDonald’s to discontinue to cook their fries in beef tallow and instead use seed oil or bean oil. The government also doesn’t do a good job of ensuring dangerous additives are not used.

    I really liked your commentary, and have too many reactions to fit in a RUclips comment. Anybody not familiar withTera Fazzino's work should check it out. She coined the term "hyper palatable" which applies to foods that have any two of: high sugar, high salt, high fat. The problem with the A-B testing methodology is it measures very short-term outcomes, which are heavily influenced by the subjects' prior experience. So they can't properly measure tastes that can be acquired, or, of course health outcomes. If salt gives short-term gratification, it'll be dumped into the food products. If it causes dependency on the product, that's a plus (for the seller). I'll close with a personal observation: Y&S Twizzlers and JuJube candies are almost the same (half sucrose and half modified starch). But the Twizzlers are laced with salt, and I can't stop eating them. On the other hand, the JuJube candies will sate me. I'm not saying they are healthy, but when I'm hungry, they are satisfying. The Twizzlers just make me want more.

    I've been studying mood disorders from nutrient deficiencies in people eating plants especially for vegans. The vegans are showing clear classic symptoms of vitamin B12 and magnesium deficiencies. Turns out all those dark leafy greens don't have bioavailable nutrients without first going through a ruminant four-chambered stomach animal capable of breaking down fiber and other plant matter. Thyroid problems are commonly caused by stress events or traumas and typically get worse with nutritional deficiencies or when adding nightshade vegetables to your diet. A sure sign of Hashimoto's is a short fuse. I tried a number of diets to fix my Hashimoto's, including vegan, before I knew better. Vegan was the worst diet for all of my chronic illnesses. There were about a dozen... I got pretty sick. The doctor's advice only made me sicker, so that took me on a 15-year health journey. I took pre/probiotics, ate organic fermented sauerkraut, vitamin D3 and K2 together, unfortified nutritional yeast for B vitamins, and a number of other tricks. And I'm aware of the 98% of synthetic vitamins on the market, so I bought quality non-synthetic supplements. I found out they put synthetic vitamin C and B12 in a bunch of different things, and our bodies don't recognize it. Synthetic vitamin C is called ascorbic acid. Sugar, carbs, and synthetic vitamin C all compete with real vitamin C. Not having real vitamin C to regulate nutrients in our system means everything goes out of whack. Synthetic B12 is called cyanocobalamin. Cyanocobalamin breaks down as cyanide in the blood. Yeah I tried vegan right... Not sustainable at all. I had ADHD until I was 40, or so I thought. I was just starving my whole life. Carnivore turned everything around and now I'm healthier than I've ever been in my life! Fat, protein, essential amino acids... Everything you need, nothing you don't. None of the sugar or carbs to cause insulin resistance, inflammation, and cell damage, leading to cancer. Low glycemic, keto, carnivore, hi fat, diets allow you to burn ketones, which are our brains preferred fuel type. Fat is very important to utilize our fat soluble vitamins. This will both remove brain fog and increase cognitive and regenerative brain functions. Removing the anti-nutrients that are in plants from your diet will also result in an increase in available nutrients for the brain and body by default. Inflammation caused by planet toxins will also dissipate, reducing joint pain. Arthritis, carpal tunnel, tendonitis... You can thank mostly plants and seed oils for that. Lectins in Plants cause gastrointestinal bloat and leaky gut, resulting in vitamin C loss. Vitamin C is important for immune function and transporting vital nutrients throughout the body. It's pretty clear to me what our appropriate ancestral evolved diet is. Corporations like big pharma and Monsanto need to be held responsible for all of the sickness and death caused by their doctored studies. If they want to sell their products of course they're going to lie. But that's not even the half of it. I think the reason they're spraying more poisonous estrogenic pesticides all over our food in alarming and ever-increasing amounts is part of population control. The manipulative brainwashing, especially to the younger generation and especially in schools is a massive part of the problem. The 90% of crap on store shelves that's not real edible food is precisely why everyone's getting fat, sick, and dead. These greedy corporations are paying corrupt officials to shut down or make up shady laws to get small farms shut down, so that they can have 100% of our food market. When that happens, they will set their own price, and most of us will starve. And if we can afford the new price of food, we won't live long on plant burgers, and GMO apples! Clean Regenerative Farms is the only way to fix it. Here's a fun fact for you. The people pushing all the doctored studies supporting vegan are the same people that own the industrialized, inhumane, unsanitary, slaughterhouses. Industrial cows are fed cheap, estrogenic, pesticide covered, wheat, corn, and soy which is an inappropriate diet. Our young girls and boys would know their gender if they weren't drinking estrogenic pesticide, birth control, and hormone contaminated water! The inappropriate diet fed to Industrial cows causes gastrointestinal bloat in the cow. Then the cow gets sick, and they have to inject it with antibiotics. But we're not done yet. These greedy corporations want more bang for their buck. So they also inject them with hormones to increase their size. To make matters even worse, because these animals weren't fed grass and weeds... The meat that they produce has very little nutrients, including vitamin K2. This inferior meat is higher in omega-6's often causing an omega-3 to omega-6 imbalance, resulting in inflammation. Vitamin K2 is hard to find in many other foods besides grass-fed beef and pastor raised eggs. Yet another important reason to eat meat. I just keep coming up with more reasons to eat meat... There's at least a dozen more! I'd bet my life that carnivore's more sustainable for people and better for the environment.

Like creatine tyrosine taurine Carnitine biotene retinol zink iron selenium and much much more. • @mylanverhagen3209
      @mylanverhagen3209 6 месяцев назад +12

      @@ScheveSneeuwSchuifSchepthis is completely false, most of the nutrients find in plants are in the less bioavailable form, like beta carotene (that has to metabolite into retinol and only does that at like 5-10%). Alot of people have genetic mutations where they even cant metabolite some plant vitamins into the form we use (around 70% of people has at least one of these mutations) meat isn’t inflammatory at all. Thats why most people (me also) can put anti inflammatory disease in complete remission by going carnivore. Also our body can digest meat better then any food thus increasing bioavailable even more while plant food have anti nutrients like oxalates and lectins that block absorption. Dont bullshit me that veganism is healthier then eating meat. There is a reason why vegan children develop stunting in growth, brain development, higher rates of mental/brain disorders and delayed puberty

      @@hiraijo1582 It is clear to me that the opinions we hold are opposing eachother though still I honestly wonder what the reasoning behind your opinion is. Why would the food industry want us to believe that a whole food plant-based diet is the best option? Most of the products they are selling are heaviliy processed and/or contain animal-derived products. Processed foods are extremely cheap to fabricate on a large scale, making the profit margins larger. The meat and dairy industry is internationally heavily subsidized though meat and dairy products are most often more expensive than whole food plant-based alternatives, making animal based products more profitable as well. What would be the economic incentive for the food industry to promote such a diet? Because I can see none.

    • @ScheveSneeuwSchuifSchep
      @ScheveSneeuwSchuifSchep 6 месяцев назад

      @@mylanverhagen3209 Most nutrients in plants are indeed taken up by the body less efficiently. It must also be said that these nutrients, such as beta-carotene, come with less fats (both saturated and unsaturated) when you get them from a plant source. This is a good thing as most people consume consume way too much fat even though we only need about 50 grams of fat a day to meet our dietary requirements. Excessive fat consumption has also been linked to increased stroke risk, cardiovascular disease and breast cancer. Excessive meat consumption (more than 60 grams of meat a day) has been linked to the same health risks I just mentioned and also increased risks of developing colon and prostate cancer.
      Some plants do indeed contain certain compounds categorized as antinutrients, in case of oxalates it is important to mind your intake of beetroot and certain types of leafy greens such as arugala/rocket as they are high in oxalate. A high intake of dietary oxalates has been linked to increased risk of developing kidney stones. Most plants however are safe to eat without you having to worry about oxalates. Lectins and phytates are compounds that bind other nutrients in the gut, this can increase the risk of developing certain nutrient defficiencies when you consume a high amount of these compounds with every meal. It must also be said that the regular consumption of lectins and phytates have been linked to significant reductions in the likelihood of developing breast cancer and colon cancer.
      You state that many people have mutations that increase their risk of developing certain nutritional defficiencies the percentages you state seem to be of an unlikely number. What you are saying about vegan children is also not something that I have heard about often and if it were to happen often I would expect it to be in the media everywhere. Could you back up these statements/claims with reputable trustworthy sources?
      I am glad to hear that you have found a way to mitigate the symptoms of your inflammatory disease though most statements you make are completely contradicting the available scientific literature. I am willing to change my mind if you can provide some sources of trustworthy information.

Therefore I think it's 'six of one and half a dozen of the other' in the game of you warning us away from the processed foods and then promoting Veganism. no, similarly how there is no such thing as not processed ground beef, the act of grounding it was processing itself. similarly you can create your own plant based alternative from whole foods by just grounding them up

      @@mylanverhagen3209 unfortunately "meat is healthy" is too much of a blank statement to be true. can meat be healthy? yes, is it always? of course not. ultra processed forms of it are not very healthy. even a majority of lesser pocessed meats in chain grocery stores are not always the healthiest when considering hormonal supplements and gmo/herbicide/pesticide/fertlized soy and corn feed given to the animals. not to mention the sheer amount and frequency that people are eating meat does not align with humans historically. the majority of people are eating low quality meat, and too much of it too often. that is not healthy

    Fat would be fine if embedded in its natural food matrix. Especially the ultra processed foods always make use of the highly doubtful seed oils (sunflower, rapseed etc.) which are considered to be really bad for your health ,(its also in all kinds of plant drinks). The are oxidyst by definition because of their high polyunsatursted fatty acid profile. Look for e.g. for videos of Chris Knoppe or Dr. Paul Mason (and alot of others).

    • @Emmpra
      @Emmpra 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@avocadomegs4189 It is genuinely difficult to just pick a few studies, and honestly a few would not mean much. Just by typing it into google or a journal database “diet and cardiovascular disease” you will find that the overwhelming majority of studies support an overwhelmingly plant based diet. Provided, if you are also a scientist, I will go out of my way to provide you with decent publications otherwise it is a waste of my time as most people either don’t know how to read them or do not even bother. As to who funded the research, that is always a very good question. There currently are not any major plant based donors in research. Generally the animal agricultural companies are extremely powerful entities that fund research, academia, the American Heart Association, and I believe even the WHO. If anything, research supporting plant based diets would be suppressed financially as it harms government subsidized agricultural giants.
      Some references: Dr. Valter Longo’s research on Blue Zones (people living over a hundred in overall good health). He has also demonstrated that animal protein spikes IgF1 that is essential in tumor growth. You can also refer to Dr. Campbell’s The China Study. They have both written books on the topics of their studies and are well regarded researchers in their fields. . I believe that they are decent reads even if one is not a scientist. Additionally, the WHO has identified processed meats as a Class 1A carcinogen (meaning that it will cause cancer). This is the same category as cigarettes and arsenic. Red meat has been classified as a Class 2A carcinogen. If you really want to learn the inns and outs of cancer, then I recommend Dr. Weinberg’s Genetics of cancer. Even if we take it back to basic biology, anatomically humans are frugivores. We can survive on a variety but we cannot thrive. Honestly, I have never found a single well designed study to demonstrate that consumption of animal products yields superior health outcomes when compared to limiting or just simply abstaining from consumption of animal products.
      Also, science, especially biology cannot prove anything. Unlike those in physics, we don’t even have laws. We can demonstrate the effects of one group versus another or observe populations for example. From that we just collect measurements and draw conclusions to the best of our ability. The conclusions that I have drawn have been from the overwhelming majority of studies that I have been reading for over 15 years now.

My only advice is to transition after a pace you are comfortable with, but keep the end goal in mind, keep eliminating foods as you go. I found it was only after eliminating all vegetables that I felt the health benefits, but still drinking tea! The author speaks some half truth. However, there's more to this story. In the first instance, most of these foods are highly processed plant materials. Plant material being a dirt cheap input. So, in addition, you are exposed to plant toxins and antinutrients. Oats, for example, contain oxlylates and antiprotyolitic enzymes that block the absorption of amino acids in humans. Plant based diets lack essential nutrients such as vitamin B12 and DHA. An essential nutrient is by definition one without which you will die. A diet devoid of essential nutrients therefore cannot possibly be one appropriate for a species, and any advice to this effect is dangerous and contraindicated.
