Wow, this is really nice! Congratulations. I watched a review of one of these by a RV dealer. He showed the bathroom door but didn't even show the bathroom. You gave a great tour. Thanks for posting.
Great videos. I love how you showed where everything goes on the storage spaces! You explained all the systems very well and in detail- best video I’ve seen including dealers. Thanks so much for doing this video Tim and Kelly
Thanks Sam. We do like the layout. It is a little tight in the galley area. We managed on our maiden trip and it's something we now do a little dance to make it work when we both want to be moving. LOL
You two did an awesome job with this video. Please keep us posted on your adventures in your new van…I love it and can’t wait to own one sometime soon!!
Is there any disadvantage of not having propane? How about recharging batteries by idling? I really like the Sprinter Chasis but worried about needing to recharge if not driving.
Hey! I've been looking for about a week for the bed dimensions on this RV, and can't find them. You mentioned you think it's 84" in length by 65" in width. Were you able to confirm those are the dimensions? I'm ordering bedding for mine that I will be picking up in a few weeks and it's been sooooo difficuly deciding the size to buy without knowing the dimensions of the bed.
We just use a folded queen 1.75 inch egg crate foam to cover the sofa part of the bed to alieviate the crack betweek the back and bottom of the bed. We then use two king sheets folded for each side (twin bed configuration) and two twin duvets. We do not make the bed into a king. We leave our lagun table up in that space. That way, we have a place for night water and to put our phones...and we do not have to take the table up and down. We find it very comfortable. We do like a firm bed though.
Merry Christmas to all! Hey Tim, I'd like to echo what many others have already said; You guys did a great job with the video, and I hope you make others as you spend more time on this fantastic rig. I have an important question for which I've not found much or any valid input. Can you please share your experience with the bed; As, for example, how comfortable it feels during a whole night's sleep. Based on the videos I've found, it looks like there are significant height differences between the different cushions when the seat is set up as a bed, and that's a big concern to us. Also, is it hard to get out when it is entirely in place, meaning the entire bed set up with all the provided the cushions? Thanks in advance
We have no idea yet. We've yet to have an AC unit that will cool. We are taking it back to the factory in two weeks to have it serviced. Our local dealer was not able to get it to cool using MAD's directions.
@@TimGamble Awesome video. You should become a professional media TV presenter! I didn't pick up any mention of the aircon not working properly in this video. Could the issue be the dark colour of the van (which absorbs more heat and would therefore be hotter) Lots of "van lifers" get a white coloured van, but personally I really like this darker colour that you have and am thinking of getting a darker van myself. My main hesitation is how much hotter it might make the van and how much harder the aircon would have to work. I would value your thoughts on that please. Have you done a review of your new van?
Any idea if they changed the AC unit for the 2022 MD2 Ford model? Based on your issues, it makes sense for them to change the way it is installed to address issues. Thanks.
Love your rig. I am considering the shorty 144. As a traveling male couple, how do you find acceptance in campgrounds, etc. ? I want to hit the road. My partner is reluctant.
We really haven’t had any issues in the 30 years we’ve been on the road. We do find curious people that always want to see inside so I guess they can go back and discuss our sleep arrangements around the campfire. (Just kidding) Personally we haven’t been bothered. Campers in general are all happy, easy going people. We aren’t demonstrative in public, it isn’t our thing, maybe that helps. We are just out living our best lives and having a good time. We aren’t trying to convince people we belong, we belong because we are there. Simple.
Beautiful rig! I really enjoyed your video so much. It was a pleasure to see y'all and your van 😊 God bless and y'all stay safe. Btw I noticed from your van tags that y'all are in North Carolina. That's my home. I live in Mebane. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that in. lol
We just tumbled across your Tube. Very informative! We are about to dive into a similar coach. A little reluctant about black though. Wish us well 😅. Any issues with your MH we should be on the loom out for?
We traded the van not soon after we did this video. We were unable to get the air conditioning to work or to cool the vehicle off. I would never recommend a black vehicle. There is info out that the premier air has been improved, but I still see complaints about it online.
Thank you. We plan on doing a video in the next couple of weeks. We are taking our unit back to the factory in Elkhart for some repairs. We'll let everyone know how those go. Than you for watching.
Awesome rig! Thank you for the detailed review. You have it optioned exactly the way I would if I ordered one. 👍👍 I would appreciate your RV dealer’s info and the unit price as optioned if you’re OK with disclosing that. Thanks again.
The list price was $221K and our dealer was RV One Superstore in Charlotte, NC. We did not pay that price, but ours was a special circumstance. We had purchased an extremely flawed Ethos 20T unit from them that could not seem to be repaird. They graciously worked out a deal that gave us our money back and we purchased this ACP. We chose it because it was the only Class B on the lot. Having said that, this is exactly how we would have optioned it but maybe without the high gloss wood finish.
Really nice RV. One question, so I like the induction stove top, but I'm concerned there's no backsplash, just the pull down black curtain. I could see that getting grease and/or the wall/window.
Tim, this is exactly the same model I am looking for. GREAT presentation...without any sales pitch! 1. How much you paid for it and where did you buy it from? 2. Would you buy this again?
Thank you. 1. Not going to get into pricing. We bought just as the market picked up. Our pricing then, isn’t anything like now. You couldn’t get close to what we paid. We bought at RV One in Concord, NC. 2. We got rid of it about 3 months after buying it. The A/C unit would not cool the rig at all. No solution was ever found to my knowledge even today. Join some Facebook groups, you’ll hear stories of struggles with trying to enjoy it when it’s over 80 inside and humid! We personally would never make this mistake again. We have another video explaining the A/C issues.
You did a great video on your van. I really like the color of your van and the interior colors. I would like to ask you about the power of the engine. Do you feel like the motor has enough ability to drive the van? In Addition, what van dealership did you buy your van from?
Honestly, we didn’t keep the van long enough to find out what the motor would or wouldn’t do for us. We struggled from day with with not having working ac in the rear, that was a killer for the van for us here in the south. Since there was not a known fix for all our cooling issues at the time, we traded for a B+ RV that has served us well since them. We did purchase our van at RV One in Concord, NC.
Fuel mileage is 15-18 MPG. We are still under 2500 miles on our unit so we believe that will improve with time. We do a good bit of around town driving and that isn't good for high mileage numbers. Yes, I do believe theyt do a 140 version.
This looks really nice wonder why MD2 not MD4? Wonder how it handle on off pavement with the 4x4. U mind how much it cost u out the door? I currently own a Thor tellaro 20AT but been brainwashed by RUclips video of AP and Midwest RV really dig into very nice quality. Thanks for the video!
As for pricing...I prefer not to say, ours was a unique situation because they had to buy back a defective Ethos 20T and they made up for the headache. Having said that, demand is extremely high so you should expect to pay near MSRP. We chose the MD4 because it was avaiible and because we are a couple with no children and are glad to have the extra storage the MD2 provides. We have not been off road...I do not believe we will use this feature much on the east coast.
the 4x4 is extremely capable with decent tires and a good driver. taken my ext 170 2019 on some gnarly jeep terrain with rock crawling, small drops, and extremely rough, rocky terrain and it did well... its a massive vehicle so learning to drive it on a variety of terrain helps.
@@liaodesign it handles well with some all weather tires. Haven't needed chains yet. I do keep it in 4x4 most of the deep winter because there is so much snow.
You may not be professional video makers but you did a better job than most of the professionals.
Thank you.
Wow, this is really nice! Congratulations. I watched a review of one of these by a RV dealer. He showed the bathroom door but didn't even show the bathroom. You gave a great tour. Thanks for posting.
A most excellent presentation of your RV. You covered all the bases. Thank you.
Love the walkthrough! What a ride. No propane at all. Wow.
We love that as well. We weren't looking for a lithium package to begin with, but we are sure glad to have that convenience now.
and it's a $20K upcharge
Great videos. I love how you showed where everything goes on the storage spaces! You explained all the systems very well and in detail- best video I’ve seen including dealers. Thanks so much for doing this video Tim and Kelly
Thank you. We struggled finding videos when we were making the decision to buy. We are glad this was helpful to you.
Seen a couple of reviews of this coach mainly from salespeople and this is the best one!
Thank you. More to come.
Excellent video of this class B. Good detail and explanation of features. Thank you 😊
Fantastic van guys, literally go anywhere anytime in this absolute beast. Enjoy from the UK Vanlifers 👌
Great job! Such a nice looking rig!
Thanks guys. We feel very lucky to have it. It is a Beast! LOL

Nice coach. Best walk through from an owners perspective that I've seen
Thank you.
Great review! I've been watching videos all week 😆. This was nice to see from users.
Thank you for the tour of your coach. It was informative and to the point. Nice job :)

I’m sorry I no longer have this unit. I do not have the exact bed dimensions. You might give MAD a call.
Great video!
How about linens to sleep on that bed? I think I would want a permanent bed. What is your experience? Any issues with that convertible bed?
