You just don’t boo someone that died, especially the widow.
Despite what it has turned out, he still assembled a team that became iconic throughout the world.
So only the positive interactions are ok, just because he died? What those people did to that poor woman is classless, but you're not making sense, either.
Agreed. Even if he’s not your favorite person, you don’t hold a grudge after the man dies, especially when he accomplished so much for you.
I wouldn’t even care as much if Jerry was there to receive those boos. Punishing the widow for your distain for her husband is classless.
why was he booed tho, sorry i don't know the story
These are people not gods... Stop worshiping them
@@akshatkaushal861 the jist is he and MJ beef’d over who had a bigger hand in building the dynasty. The team felt like they could’ve won a 7th and was bitter Krause broke it up, but they also don’t give him credit for building the team. MJ has been petty about it ever since, and the entire city followed MJ.
But the dude has been dead since ‘17, and MJ was still throwing shots at him like in the last dance doc. So the fact that the fans were booing his widow because they are bitter about Krause is kinda disgusting. Basically didn’t show any appreciation for Krause’s contribution in front of his widow. And as his widow, she knows that his dedication to the Bulls was his life’s work and passion. She basically saw her late husband’s life work not be acknowledged at all. Anyone who wins you 6 chip, you can’t be like that to them.
The only time that we get recognized is by this negativity. Good job Chicago for ruining a night that was supposed to been about celebration.
A swear Chicago never gets recognized for anything good, if we are in the news it’s for something negative. It never fails.
It's Krause. He was the one always seeking recognition for himself and the "organization". If he hadn't insisted he could build the Bulls into champions again - without the coaches and (many) star players!, they would not have broken up and exposed his total lack of acumen and competence.
@@williestyle35 You weren't in the front of the line when they handed out the brains, weren't you?
@@Broodkast8 lol
Whatever. To hell with kruase and his wife. He he ruined a dynasty and destroyed the joy of thousands of bulls fans. Fans have every right to boo.
Disgusting that Miles Bridges gets an ovation upon his return, but this elderly widow receives boos. Just sad.
Exactly even though it’s not right what bulls fans did
Sad his wife had to sit and deal with that. I would have personally preferred them to sit in silence. But I’m just a fan
She actually got cheers it was her husband who got boos but still not classy
They weren’t booing her, she was just collateral damage, very sad for her she did nothing wrong, too bad jerry krause wasn’t alive to hear the boos himself
@@trumptouchesivanka thank you we really need to kill this false narrative media is trying to grow about what happened. It’s still bad but people should address what ACTUALLY happened which is fans were booing the husband and not the wife. Because what people don’t know and don’t care for because it’s the internet is that fans actually cheered for her. Fans here can be distasteful but we are the best fans in basketball for a reason. We ain’t going to do good wife dirty that’s for sure. People don’t know we are x100 more generous than all the other fans in the NBA. We literally hold up Kirk hinrich on a pedestal and he was a role player. We celebrate Thad young and he ain’t been here in like almost half a decade
One of the most disgusting displays of disrespect ive ever seen. Absolutely evil and shameful to make a widow cry. Anyone that booed should feel like absolute trash.
boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The fault lies with the Bulls organization which should have known Jerry's name would invoke booing and they should have first shown Thelma Krause on the video screen before announcing her husband's name then booing would never have happened. The crowd began cheering when Thelma was shown on the video screen.

@@jemelmoore7329 Agreed, well said & very powerful especially during Covid. However some thoughtful people said the depiction of Krause as the villian was unfair, helped me put it into perspective at the time. Always two sides to every story IMHO. Regardless in a celebratory service, I personally would have never booed him, but that's me.
The Last Dance doc definitely painted a negative picture of Jerry Krause. He was as much responsible for those rings as the roster was.
It was something for us all to watch when we were trapped in our houses but looking back that was an MJ puff piece and made everyone else look like bums
Krause's own behavior paints a bad picture of him, doofus.
MJ painted a negative picture of Jerry Krause.
Jordan had a certain mustache for a reason
He also broke up the team after 98. 2 truths.
I grew up in Chicago, through the 70's, 80's and 90's. I've seen some pretty despicable things from our fans. But this was by far the worst. Don't ever try to tell me that Chicago fans have class. They just don't. They should be ashamed for that display.
you probably booed him after the 97-98 season was over, so just stop!
@ejb9038 Yes. Right after dynasty ended and it was fresh on your minds. That was 25 years ago. The man has died since then. In death your supposed to look back and appreciate and reflect on the good and bad they brought. Whether or not you like the dude you would not have had those 6 titles without him. He did a lot more good than he did bad. Bill Belichick ended the patriots dynasty by pushing out Tom Brady. I promise you they are not gonna boo him at his ceremonies. This was classless and disgusting.
I blame mj fans they are like a cult that worship mj and think he won by himself and can beat anyone. Instead of realizing he was a great player blessed with a great coach great players and a great gm who assembled the team
you do realize that Krause got rid of Phil out of jealous, even with the knowledge that that would make Jordan leave.
@WarriorVinyard I think we all agree that Krause's jealousy ended the dynasty sooner than it should have. But that doesn't change the fact that he put the pieces in place to make the dynasty. He put the talent around MJ. He took a chance on Phil Jackson as a coach. Don't forget MJ didn't want Phil to be the coach. If MJ had his way that dynasty would not have happened. He has proven in Charlotte that he can't put the right people in place or find the right talent. I understand that people hate that Jerry ended the dynasty. But the fact that y'all won't give him his flowers for starting it is a travesty.
As a Bulls fan, im ashamed.
I mean it’s not surprising behavior for them. Look at the mayors they vote for dawg 😭

ESPN's most-watched documentary ever trashes Jerry Krause and now they're shocked that he was boo'ed at a ceremony.
They didn’t trash Krause. The documentary showed how Jordan and Pippen despised him, which was correctly portrayed and admitted by Jordan. As far as an architect of team building, Jordan is not even in the same stratosphere as Krause
@@SacrificeBreedsSuccessJordan despised him. Pippen was in the middle of a bitter years long contract negotiation. There is a difference.
Krause had the privilege of having the greatest player, who was heavily motivated, ever on the roster. Krause claimed that organizations win championships, but failed to mention that the players are the most important part. That is why players like Jordan and the fans, who are following Jordan’s example, are still booing him.
@@jcarreon1983jc there’s been plenty of all time greats that were “ motivated” and had the talent to lead teams to championships but never made it past go because their front office failed them. So much so that he drafted and arranged the rosters that ended up with Pip and MJ having 6 championships from two different iterations of the Chicago bulls.
The entire documentary was a Krause bash session. Very unfair.
Bulls fans were so ungrateful and disrespectful it is insane. What have we become as a society where a man, posthumously represented by his wife and children, gets booed? This is shameful on every level. What a disgrace to human decency. Do better Chicago fans! I know Jerry was very unpopular for breaking up the bulls dynasty but without him masterminding and engineering trades and hirings, the dynasty would have never happened. I look at Jerry Krause's wife's face, when he was being honored for something and the crowd was booing him even though he's dead. Because of some of his actions, his wife paid for it. It honestly breaks my heart, probably much more than it should.
I just want to hug that woman and tell her I'm sorry that people treated her like that on what should have been a joyful occasion.
Jerry played a key role in building the Bulls dynasty, as a Bulls fan I know there are a lot of fans who don't really care for Jerry but no need to boo him when his wife is accepting recognition on his behalf since he's no longer alive to receive it.
I wonder how Phil Jackson’s family felt when Krause said he wouldn’t be hired back no matter what
Blame the Jordan and the last dance Doc
This too me seems to be a lasting result of the disrespect and hate that Jordan and the bulls have shown him in recent years. Even after his death.
This didn't happen if the Last Dance didn't paint him how they did
I think the worst part of the last dance is that even in the last episode MJ and Pippen never acknowledged what Krause did for the Bulls. They only focused on the last year of him pushing out Phil and failed to realize that without Krause Pippen might never have been a Bull which might have resulted in MJ having 0 rings
There is a lot more the players saw with their own eyes than a mere documentary.

Absolutely disgusting the fans booing should be ashamed of themselves
Chicago fell off as a whole... From the great Chicago Bulls to the pitifulness shown tonight. I'd be ashamed to be a Bulls fan right now
I mean have you seen the mayors they vote for? They fell off long ago
Because a sacred cow old white woman got her feelings hurt 😂😂
Definitely should be ashamed. Never seen such a disgusting act
Look in the mirror
@@Ludzig
Gen Z?
@@Ludzig we don't need to. this didn't happen anywhere except Chicago. if you're a bulls fan, you should take your own advice.
@Ludzig For what? Doing the right thing? You are probably an 11 year old
I mean but the fans didnt have to be like that. This is why all the players hated the way they were portrayed in the last dance and now it physically manifested out in the open.
Not Michael.
It's Chicago what do you expect
Bulls fans need to get over it. I understand why they're mad at Jerry Krause, but to STILL hold a grudge against him in 2024? Did they ever consider that maybe, just maybe, Jerry Krause "ended" the Bulls dynasty at the right time?
Blame the Last Dance. It reopened old wounds. It made us hate him all over again.
Ppl have a right to feel how they feel when he broke up the team he helped bring together.
@@MrHighProfyle Not "us", I hated Krause back them. The Last Dance was cool to watch but it didn't make me feel any hate all over again. That was the past. Time to grow up and move on.
@@02nupe Blame the owner.
@@MrHighProfyleoh yeah, classic bulls fans don't take any blame, blame a movie for their bad manner as a human being 🤣🤣 funny af
Blame ESPNs “The Last Dance”
Perk got a Speedo on in this segment...Talking like he hurt.
It was the booing that cost us the game last night. Karma came to avenge Jerry, and gave Golden State the W.
Casual.
Im not a bulls fan so i have no dog in the fight, but let me play devil's advocate for a second. All Jerry Krause had to do was pay Phil Jackson to stay then mike and the gang would have returned and maybe the bulls could have won 2 more championships. This changed history!!! We could have possibly seen an old bulls team vs a young kobe and shacq lakers team in the 2000 finals!!!! Imagine that. Just like how a young bulls team beat an old magics lakers for their first. Jerry's ego got in the way of atleast a mike and tim Duncan finals and a mike and kobe finals. He is no longer here. The wife had to catch the strays lol. Just playing devil's advocate lol
Not a bulls fans, but a ton of assumptions there. Let me try. Maybe players acknowledge his role, appreciate what he did and say I wish it could have continued. In others words, act like mature adults. I like that devil's advocacy, then maybe nobody catches strays.
The bulls weren't winning No more chips.
Michael Jordan owes Thelma Krause a huge apology for his pettiness with the last dance doc and not showing up to the ceremony or at the least providing a message thanking Krause for building one of the greatest teams in history. You don’t hear those boos if the last dance is not released. Michael Jordan is easily one of the most petty legends ever. Krause is the reason why Jordan is even in the GOAT conversation. Without Krause Jordan might not have any rings
Krause was not liked for dangling Phil Jackson's job and using Scottie Pippen as trade bait throughout the second three-peat. Fans that watched the Bulls break up too early would have booed regardless of The Last Dance. Jordan carried a lot of the early Chicago rosters and would have been GOAT regardless. Bulls were 15th in the East for about every year Krause remained with the team post-breakup.
They didnt boo Krause. They booed his widow. How low can you get as a pathetic excuse for a human being
All the players publicly hated the guy and still talked badly about Krause to this day especially on the ESPN documentary “The Last Dance”. But the fans are classless for booing the guy? Give me a break. Plus they weren’t booing his widow. The fans did what they did and the media and former players should accept it and not say anything bad about the fans. They are following the lead of the players who disliked the guy.
I wonder if they know how MJ did as a GM.
the bulls haven't won since Jordan, Pippen, Jackson and the rest left. Jerry Krause remained GM until 2003, so this whole, "they haven't won since Krause left" is nonsense. the fans have every right to voice how they feel, they hate Krause so they booed. plus that old lady is rich, she'll be fine.
After Jordan, Pippen, Rodman left, there was no draft pick good enough to replace them until DRose. So the Bulls sucked after MJ's time... the fans boos was just shameful.. classless society we have today.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Who got all those players? How did Michael Jordan do as a GM? Who doesn't make mistakes? Krause is a legend for his decisions over the course of 10 years and had bad years at the end. Sheesh. Boo their current leadership, they suck.
@@porterwake3898 bulls is the most clown fan base bro they deserve what they get 0.500 team that will never succeed again let them boo as much as the ly won't they'll always be trash they'll never sniff success again and they are mad ab it
Even though Jerry Krause did the thing he did while GM of the Chicago Bulls, he didn’t deserve this
The fanboys don’t realize the things he did /tried to do behind-the-scenes..
He was the reason why Jordan left the Chicago Bulls the second time because Jordan gave him the ultimatums before… he said he wasn’t going to play for anyone other than Doug Collins… but he decided to do so anyway, and won his rings. Then Jerry Krause tried trading away Scottie Pippen for Shawn Kemp, Jordan put down the ultimatum he wasn’t going to play for anyone other than Phil Jackson, and he wasn’t gonna play without Scottie Pippen
Which is why the last dance happened … because Joe Krauss said he wasn’t going to be bringing back either Phil Jackson, or Scottie Pippen got rid of Scottie Pippen with some money with a sign in trade and didn’t rehire Phil Jackson
So it was him that broke up the dynasty, because he wanted to prove that he can build another one without those three
He made himself to be the villain, and for some people They will never forget, or forgive
People could’ve just stayed silent during the ceremony when he came up but you can’t control people
One would think that given the state of the team for the past few years that the same people who booed would be salivating at having a Krause front office since it produced winners.
Jordan went out of his way to bash Krause in the Last Dance. Everything that happened is directly his fault and he should make a public apology to the wife. The fans were reacting to what Jordan put out there.
