I’ve also been in therapy for a long time and have learned the importance of creating boundaries simply because people like us, who suffer with these challenges tend to be people-pleasers (guilty ✋) and that’s why I would have said what I stated I would say in my comment. i'd report him to the higher ups at that dealership, i really think they'd fire him for this behavior, he's unhinged. i have never in my life experienced this sort of nutcasery but i think older people tend to experience more predatory sales practices unfortunately. good on your for standing up for yourself despite such pressure. you are a strong woman christine
I would've raised my voice and shouted, "Give me my keys back!" And if they didn't immediately drop 'em in my hand, I'd continue ranting loudly. If other customers were present, good! Sometimes people need to be shocked into doing the right thing, lol. Sorry you endured that craziness!
FCC puts rules and regulations in place to protect consumer rights. They frown on that kind of pressure sales and label it "unethical behavior". You have every right to report that type of harassment and that dealership employees are wrong using those tactics. A lot of dealerships use this high pressure tactic, as unethical as it is, because a lot of consumers break down and give in. I would send them a bill and charge them for wasting your time as well as holding you up (&/or) missing your appointment> hold them accountable.
I’d file a complaint and if you get billed by the doctor’s office let the head office of the dealership know you will be sending the bill to them to pay.
She actually did buy the car from them and explained in her next video about it. I would’ve never gone back there if it were me😊

Wow!!! No, ma'am. You weren't even there for a new car ffs! From start to finish this was an unacceptable experience with an unhinged man. The higher ups and corporate office needs to hear this. He sounds like the kind of man who cant take no for an answer under other circumstances either. You had way more patience than I would have had. I can only imagine how he probably frightened and intimidated other women. Totallt unacceptable. Please report him.

In addition to calling corporate, write a review for that dealership and spread the word to everyone you know how this dealership treats people.

whoa this is predatory behavior he sensed he could push you when you gave in for the car ride/and driving. I am often a victim of people with that behavior as well and have to be cautious of this. Im so so sorry you had that happen.

Oh, I saw a red while you were telling the story. One thing for sure that I would’ve said to him in a very slow and deliberate voice… When I do get a new car you can rest assured I will 100% NOT be buying it from this dealership! If this is how you treat your customers, then no thank you. Also, if the doctors office bills you for the missed appointment, you take that bill straight into that dealership, find those two idiots and shove that bill in their face. That’s what I would do anyway. You should also report them to the powers that be for that dealership. At the very least, you should be receiving an apology. What they did was a disgusting display of unprofessionalism and rudeness! So sorry this happened to you. 😢
Suggestion for next time: I want my keys, now or I will involve law enforcement.

You are wayyyy too nice! I wouldn't have engaged in so much conversation with that salesperson from the very beginning. Unfortunately we live in a world where we sometimes just need to be rude to these high pressure bullies.
This needs to be reported. There is no excuse for this type of treatment. If the dealership doesn't reprimand the two employees then you need to go up the chain of command to someone that will listen to you. This is totally unacceptable. These two salespersons need to be held accountable for their actions...plain and simple.
Christine, I'm so sorry you were treated this way. You are such a kind, beautiful, caring soul and they probably thought they could take advantage of that. I'm so glad you stood up for yourself. The car market is really tanking right now and these car salesman are chomping at the bit to make a sale. THEY ARE DESPERATE and it shows. Sending you hugs, Christine.

I wouldn't have even explained why I didn't want a new car. "No" is a complete sentence, and you don't owe anyone an explanation. If they didn't give me the keys after I asked for them, I probably would have called the police right in front of the guys. And file a complaint with the corporate office. If your doctor's office charged you for missing your appointment, the car dealer needs to reimburse you. And I would tell them that they have lost any business I may have given them in the future.

I’m so sorry this happened to you! I had something similar happen with a door to door salesman that wouldn’t let me enter my home. I ended up just lying and said I’d take a card and tell my husband. He kept coming back to our house and I just hid inside in fear. I didn’t know if I should call the police or not. ❤😢

Sorry you had to deal with this! Have always dreaded to look for cars! The last car I bought I said I didn't want the salesman to keep going back and forth giving me a better deal. I said I want the bottom line right away! You should've asked for the manager!

I'm not surprised to hear it. People in sales are forced to behave this way. At first they might feel something about it, but with time they are worn down to feel nothing about how awful and irritating they are. I understand some people aren't able to speak up and snarl at others or tell them to *&^% off in public; so I'm really sorry this happened to you.

I would have raised my voice and been firm. I also would have definitely forwarded the charge to them and made sure they paid the charge for the missed appointment.

My goodness. I would have ask for a manager or something. Sales people are crazy. Like you know how they have those dish people in Walmart sometimes? Well we actually talked to them for a minute and decided we didnt want it. So we left that section and went around to avoid them. Well we were checking out and they were coming toward the doors looking for us and im like omygosh. But we made it out of there without talking to them again lol. So yeah, sales people are insane sometimes. I don't like how they pushed you and wouldnt give you your keys. I probably would have ask for a manager and if that didnt work, call the police and tell them you were be held against your will, because really you were.

That’s disgusting of them! Stick up for yourself! They had no right to act like that. Greedy salesman. I’d also report the behavior and tell them you missed you appointment. I would send an email to Nissan corporate so fast about your experience. Usually when you go complain to corporate they’ll at least try to rectify it for you. You can probably get a free service out of them for it. That was harassment. I had a similar experience with a car salesmen but not to that extent. All they care about is their sale and Quota.

Time to walk into the back office and find a woman who would help you. Say, "I'm being illegally detained. Would you mind helping me get my keys, and save your company a lawsuit?" That's what I like to _think_ I would do but who knows. I probably would've hid in the bathroom.☺️
And yes I understand: there was an aggressive realtor who ended up calling me from outside my condo in a threatening way. When I was home alone with my toddler 🤬😡☠️.

wow that is nuts...i hate going to car lots i always have my mom go with me and as soon as someone approaches she says look we are here just to look we have noi idea what we are looking for or if we are we just want to look if you want give us your card and if we need any help then we will come and get you. and every time i think they are so surprised they hand her the card and say here take your time ill be in the office if you need anything.
and i too when the chevy hhr came out in 2006 i wanted the light lavendar one and i said when i was going to look at them i am not getting white or silver i had always hated silver cars..lol well all they had was a silver one or i could of waited for 3 months but i had no car so i couldn't so i got the silver one it was the first new car i had ever had while my brother who is younger had already had 6 and i vowed then to keep that car . i had never seen a car and felt like i needed that car and i truly liked it and my son who is disabled could get in and out easy. but i would hate seeing the color i wanted on the road occasionally they didn't make many that color. so then in 2019 the alternator blew and in turn messed up the pistons and heads i think it was and it was 1800 to fix and i paid it but ever time it would run for a day or two and the alternator was blown up again and that went on and on for 3 months i went thru 20 the poor mechanic i thought and he had said if i were you i would just junk this car because something internal is wrong and its not going to hold an alt charge. well i had vowed way back to keep it so i put a car cover on and left it i would still wash and wax it but sharing a car with my mom and having to take her to work and pick her up didn't last long and she said lets just go and get you a car ..lol we didn't agree on cars at all and none i saw did i wan't and my son finally said just get another hhr if you want and i was like yeah why wouldn't i and maybe i can get the color after all these years ...llooll nope they all had high mileage or crappy paint but 2 and guess what color ...silver but one was 4 years newer and the best one you could get and we got that one but my luck then about a week later the mechanic called my mom had talked to a different one that before and he said i figured out your daughters problem chevy never really listed this but that car has 2 different alternators the one it came with which is discontinued so when we look it up it automatically goes to the closest one to that one but my partner found this newsletter and we have the right one if you want my partner siad he will put it on and also put in a new battery for 500 which is just the charge for the part and for labor bring him a case of corona and you got a deal of a lifetime. so we took it and within two hours that car was up and running and hasn't had a problem since but now i got 2 silver hhr..lol

You should report them Christine, that was highly unprofessional, unnecessary and totally didn't respect you or your boundaries. Thats harassment totally, I would have FREAKED out for being late to my appointment. Bet they would have listened if you were a male🙄
