It was silly and unrealistic. A rocket wouldn't bounce off the ground like a rubber ball like that. Especially if it hit soft sand like in the video, it would just bury into it
True. As someone with a tiny bit experience in animation, the animations in FC6 are much better. Not to mention them fixing some (not all) of the animation errors from before. The details on the models of the weapons are much better too. One of the gripes I've had with the series up until FC5 is how they incorrectly depict the MP5 to have a bolt hold open feature and the charging handle be reciprocating. Glad they fixed that, they still haven't fixed the Spac-12 reload tho.
Im seeing a theme when it comes to contrasting weapons in games of then vs now: newer titles have comparable sound design with mostly great animations and models, while older titles have worse models/animations but great sound design (not saying this applies to every franchise tho).
In my opinion the newer FC games have better animation and sound design all around. Older games have those district "videogamey" gun sounds. Few other machine gun sounds from other games can compare to the MG42 from Far Cry.

FC6 has some speed and a bit of flair to the reload, sound is pretty good but it doesn’t seem to have the bassiness or reverb of FC5’s FC2 anims are very jerky and robotic and are not exactly pleasant to look at. Sounds don’t seem to have a lot of impact to it imo.
It’s sad to see what the videogame industry has become, videogames were a form of art and now they’ve taken the soul out of them. Our beloved art that made us grow with a smile on our face is a corrupted, greedy vicious cycle now

You should try the Libertad mod for FC6, it allows you to set a much better viewmodel FoV
Only way to play, IMO. Resistance, Scavenger, and now Libertad mod improve the new games so much.
