@@shounic you know how if you have the contracker equipped how it plays an animation when you open it up. So if you open the contracker then close it then taunt then you will start the taunt then the contracker animation will override the taunt animation
This works best on looping taunts that let you move and if you have a taunt that spawns in a object (the tank, broom, ect) then the item will also appear during the contracker animation
@@shounic Okay, that other guy got it all wrong, that's not the particular bug I was talking about. Basically, have a bind for your loadout 1 and 2 on your keyboard somewhere. Make sure that, in loadout 1, you have the contracker equipped, and in loadout 2, you have nothing in that slot (though it will work with like, a spell book.) Turn on world viewmodels while practicing, it helps to know when you got it. Press f2 for the contracker while on the loadout with it equipped. Once you're doing the animation, slam the loadout 2 button lots before it completely finishes. If done correctly, you will be moving around as a statue while still able to move and shoot perfectly. It's really game breaking and needs to be patched, but also kinda hilarious. Be sure to have a clip or something of a sniper hiding behind a box on some map and head shotting someone while he's not even visible at all. After all, he crouches WAY lower than the rest while doing it, and it's a fun exploit to use in a pub every once in a while.
For people trying to do this: On your screen, you know it works if you: See no airblast; Only other players can see it, and to you it just looks like you are holding m1 Hear no flames or airblast; There should be no noise if you did it right, only others can also hear it. That being said, in the video when Shounic was explaining how to execute it, he wasn’t very detailed. When he said “quickly tap right click” he meant “Hit secondary fire for as short of a period of time as possible, only once” (right click for less than 50 ms one time) So, you can either hold m1 and very quickly tap m2 once, or you can very quickly tap m2 once and then continue holding m1. The airblast is purely visual and does nothing to you and just lags others with bad pcs. The glitch ends if you stop holding m1, or hit secondary fire again for shorter than 50ms. The initial airblast costs ammo and works normally but the bugged ones do not do anything
Once you understand it it’s extremely easy to perform given you can tap m2 and let go really quickly. I use a bind to just tap mouse2 for 1 millisecond so i can get it every time easily

There's another fun bug with these states that makes anyone t-pose despite not actually trying to, making it much harder to tell what they are doing. I don't have a definitive idea on how it happens, but I think it's caused when TF2 stutters or freezes during gameplay.
Maybe it was spaghetti enough for the programmer to not notice the bug, but still readable enough to read the code afterward to find out what it is doing exactly. I mean, people find security vulnerabilities by looking at compiled assembly and manage to figure out what the software is doing, albeit not as efficiently as they would if they had a properly written source code, of course.
If it isn't spaghetti, then why did it come back after 10 years? Tf2 as a whole is a 10 pounds spaghetti plate, and every new update is more pasta. JI and Blue Moon helped pyro a bit, but for every big bug they fixed they introduced one new, slightly smaller bug. Flame range being influenced by lag was fixed, but now the newly implemented ramp up mechanic resets the damage for no apparent reason even on stationary targets, and at point blank it never reaches full damage and resets even more frequently, on top of using the oldest flame particle for damage calculations instead of the newest one, which makes flame damage inconsistent af. It's so messed up I'd find it funny, if I weren't a pyro main.
Another reason why Pyro is busted class. Thanks for the info, it's a famous glitch but how to execute and why this happens was a mystery for me for a while so
