    By now, you probably all know that I geek out on fitness equipment. When Jason from BaseBlocks reached out this past summer and told me about the Nordic Plus, I knew I just HAD to check it out and make a review. Why? Well, because I've honestly found the nordic curl to be one of the hardest exercises in calisthenics. I've seen people train them in a doorway with a DIY setup, but it just doesn't seem safe to me. So when BaseBlocks made specialized equipment for training nordic curls, I figured it was time for me to seriously pursue this exercise and share my honest thoughts on this equipment. I hope this review helps! Also, make sure you subscribe and stay tuned to see my progress as I train the nordics!

    Does it work well with QL raises? Also I am 6’3”, would hyper extensions be comfortable ?

    Hey is it that bad to wheel around? Was hoping to keep this in the closet when not in use.
    Also have you tried holding weights at the higher incline to progress to the lower inclines?

      @MinusTheGym  29 дней назад +1

      No, I haven’t tried holding weights. Thanks for the idea! And it’s not bad to wheel around. It’s actually fairly easy. But it’s a bit bulky and might be hard to fit in a closet. Make sure you check the dimensions on the BB website to make sure it’ll fit in your closet.

      @@MinusTheGym Thanks for the reply! Is it also quick to change between incline angles and for storage? One issue I have with freak athlete is there’s so many knobs it takes forever to change between storage, nordics, back extensions, etc.

    Major con- smashed gonads 😂. Not in the UK sadly. I'm tempted by the basic baseblock for added leg exercises

    Love the content! Will you be doing a review on the Big Bar Pro?

    • @MinusTheGym

      Thanks! I wasn’t planning to since I did a review on the original Big Bar, but I’ll ask BaseBlocks if they want to send me a Pro for a comparison video. We’ll see!

      I hope they do. I purchased the Big Bar because of that review. Also purchased the B-Bars because the review you did years ago. Just looking to see if the upgrade worth it

    The hyperextension setup is fixed. What height range would it work for? Also is it stable enough to use with weights?

  • @michael43216
    @michael43216 7 месяцев назад

    Y just have a steel, padded T, screwed to the wall at a strategic height with a pull up bar on top to hang bands for asistance for Nordics, and a yoga type harness for hypertensions.
    It's safe, cheap, and you can use those for a cornucopia of bodyweight pain.
    I must have spent way less than $1000 in my entire fitness studio, that includes rubber floor and air conditioning.

    Great video! It helped me decide it was a good piece of equipment. On a side note, for Europe most equipment is not available or with ridiculous high shipment cost. But this I could order without shipment cost directly from Europe!

    Can you do bench press on it?

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  Месяц назад

      Possibly. You could lie flat on it and use dumbbells, for example. There’s some clearance for your arms, but it’s obviously not as much as a standard bench, which is much higher off the ground.

    Love baseblocks. Recently made some additions with the coming Freak Athlete reverse hyper and wheelbarrow sled so have to hold off but…
    I would love to see Big Bar Pro review! Cash is tight with new baby so will probably wait til next Spring. Looks like the perfect dip/pull-up combo
